DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They were hired to sand and refinish our dark hickory floors and ended up…read moredamaging them beyond repair. Hector showed up the first day or two to get his guys started then dropped the ball on checking their work after that. Well, they managed to scrape the seams between planks incorrectly and ended up splintering and shredding them. There are chopped up, broken sharp edges between planks and visibly jagged edges. They used some kind of a knife or tool that, when it would catch the grain of the wood, slipped and gouged across planks so deep they cannot be fixed. They left debris and splinters on the surface before putting the stain and first coat of sealant, so you can feel it when you walk on the floors - and socks catch/snag from the sharp edges. I'm so disgusted that this is what we ended up with. We didn't have the budget to replace all our flooring in the first place, so we trusted him to refinish them... and now we are back to square one. Fortunately we were able to stop the second payment we'd given him as soon as we saw the damage but he is refusing to refund us the first payment - and now we will have to seek repayment for full damages to be able to pay to replace the flooring. Oh, and to add insult to injury they broke the toilet on day 1 when removing it (we had to buy a new one - they would not pay for it) AND we did our part of staying out of the work area so we were stuck being out of the main part of our home for 7 days. They didn't even seal off the work area or contain the dust properly - they did not use a bag on their sander so it has taken 4 days just to clean the dust off the walls, ceilings, out of air ducts - even inside closed cabinets that they draped cheap plastic over. They had a pile of tools, trash, and debris on an uncovered carpet by our front door the whole time even though I asked one of the workers to pick it up. They left trash bags full of dust and debris in the planter area outside our house for 5 days even though I asked a worker to get it removed. This has been the biggest nightmare and it still isn't over.

Our garage is a high traffic space that is used for a home gym, small business, workshop for my husband's bike hobby and of course, holds all the sports equipment for our children. All that to say, that the durability on these floors is incredible. I originally came across Peninsula Epoxy on Yelp and Greg was quick to respond to my inquiry and offered a fair estimate. After deciding to move forward with his company, he immediately scheduled us that same week. Not only was he professional but he was very clear about the process and provided detailed instructions on the maintenance. I have to say that even on days that I am behind on my cleaning, the floors still look clean (that's a total win for a busy full-time working mom with a side business and raising 3 kids!!!!). After a water container leaked in our pantry and seeped underneath the laminate, we wanted to…read morereplace the laminate with a more waterproof flooring material but were having difficulty finding a company that does both laminate and tile installation for smaller projects. I was very excited to find Interior Technique Flooring through Yelp, as many of the reviews mentioned how helpful they are with repairing flooring after flooding and that they specialize in all kinds of flooring as well. The reviews also mentioned how friendly the owners and installers are, and I couldn't agree more after working with them on this project. Dustin was very helpful and creative and offered several different solutions to help us use existing floorboards to repair the area in front of our pantry so that the color match would be seamless. We decided to make our whole kitchen tile to help prevent future flooding problems and also provide a fun pop of color. We selected the tile from the ones they had in their showroom, and Ryan was very helpful with getting us a sample to take home and giving us info on the tile options. Mike made sure that scheduling went smoothly and our kitchen was back to normal within 5 days which was so helpful given we have a three year old daughter who wanted to check out all exposed sub flooring. We also have to give a shout out to the laminate and tile installers and the plumber as well. Everyone did a great job and was very clean and polite.
