My husband and I had a date night here and we really enjoyed the food and ambiance. Service was also welcoming and friendly. The interior is modern and clean. Food: To start I got some hot green tea. We ordered the Aburi tower which was fresh and very flavorful. For our main we both got the 9pc aburi nigiri box which was perfect! Comes with salad and miso soup. The nigiri box had a really tasty assortment of items and their sushi rice was very good as well! Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and the vibes here!

This is the cutest sushi gem right by Pike Place Market! Love how they have a nice blend of traditional and fusion sushi with unique bento and box plating. Aburi Nigiri is one of their specialty entrées that we ordered, which came with beautiful compartment wooden bamboo boxes holding 9pc of seared and fresh nigiri - presenting such unique plating style. Aburi Bento was the other dish we ordered which came with 4pc seared nigiri + 3pc salmon oshizushi, 2pc shrimp shumai and tofu. Both dishes came with a complimentary miso soup and house salad! All the fish and ingredients were so fresh and flavorful. The vibes here is cute & perfect for a first date or meet up with friends. The staff are very friendly and attentive!

(Overall: A) - Overall, the staff were quite accomodating and the service was pleasant. Their menu has lots of interesting and aesthetic items, so I'm honestly not sure why they don't have more business. They even have an AYCE on the weekdays that I'd definitely want to check back next time I'm in town. (Salmon Poke Bowl: A) - Their salmon poke bowl looks quite nice and was surprisingly filling. It had a fresh blend of vibrant flavors coming from the cucumber, salad, corn, daikon, crab, tomato, salmon, and seaweed salad mixed together on top a bed of rice and a heavy sweet soy. (Yuzu Tea: F) - To be fair, I wasn't sure what I was expecting with this, but it ended up being a yuzu syrup mixed in water, which is not great as normally people mix this at home with some tea for an easy hot honey lemon tea, but $6 for this was not it. -- Food: E Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: +1 Service: +1 Menu: +2 Overall: +4 A Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

Came here for lunch during the work day and it was fairly empty. The restaurant looked new still with a good amount of tables and seats for the size that it was. It felt pretty spacious too. I got the Aburi Bento Box and surprisingly, only 1 of the 9 nigiris were torched. When I go to a places named Aburiya, I would think majority of the sushi would be seared in some manner. I was very shocked to see that was not the case. But I was fine with it because it's hard for me to discriminate sushi. I did enjoy the pieces that I had and honestly could not remember what was what despite the waiter telling me what each piece were. Thats on me. The presentation was what attracted me the most. It's very much photogenic and would impress any one I would think. Price for it all was very much on the higher end of what I would've liked to paid, but it's what I get for wanting to try this restaurant out. For me, this place is okay in my book. It's good and pretty, but is overpriced. The only real issue I have is that the name of the restaurant did not reflect what was sold. If a place is named Aburiya which means flame seared store in Japanese, I'm going to expect to be sold seared fish. I got the Aburi nigiri box so I expect every piece to be seared. It's in the name, so that's what I should get, right? I'm. It bashing on the food, it's fine honestly. I'm just going to directly order seared stuff next time.

    Nigiri Bento Lunch Special

Some friends and I went here for lunch during our visit to Seattle. There was a bit of a mix up with the order as I wanted the Aburi Nigiri Bento and was served just the Nigiri Bento. A little disappointed as I really wanted to try the Aburi Nigiri Bento but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe I misspoke since the names are so similar. The Nigiri Bento itself was a little underwhelming. The nigiri were definitely my favorite but nothing special, especially wishing there was more fish like tuna and yellowtail (instead of the tomago and shrimp). The Seattle roll is essentially a Philly roll, so I found the name change interesting. I wish there was an option to substitute it with spicy tuna or something else. Salad and tofu were solid, but the shumai was strange. It was more like a uniform dough ball rather than the traditional meat with wonton wrapper. The Toro with uni was nice but doesn't compare to the quality of the same fish but at other sushi spots. Overall nothing was terrible but I left a little underwhelmed and would probably choose another option out of the plethora of sushi places in Seattle.

Drawn by the aesthetic 9 pc nigiri box from many months back, I finally got to try this place because of the appeal of value from Seattle restaurant week special. For $35 during lunch, I got salmon tataki, 9 pc nigiri box (which is almost $35 normally), and caramelized banana for dessert. The salmon tataki starter was fairly good - it was fresh and served along a soy sauce that is fairly tangy. Everything went downhill after. The 9 pc nigiri box has a combination of fresh and seared nigiri, each of which are fairly large so 9 pcs of nigiri is actually a satisfying meal. This time, they served sea bream, yellowtail, seared escolar, shrimp, tamago, tuna, shrimp, amberjack, and albacore, from left to right top to bottom of the 3x3 box. It is not just plain nigiri - for example, they topped the tuna with rosemary and the yellowtail with jalapeño. My favorite was the seared escolar as it had a nice smoky flavor. The rice was not too cooked so it felt a bit hard and so easy to fall apart. The dessert was fairly decent. My friend happened to come after so we sat next to each other at the bar and he got a different dessert, the green tea mochi ice cream. The caramelized banana is slightly buttery and not too sweet, and I personally preferred that dessert over the mochi ice cream, as the mochi ice cream is just taken out of the freezer so it wasn't all that special. What docked another star was how excruciatingly slow service is. I personally do not mind normally as I can just talk to friends, but first, it is lunch, so it is supposed to be quick as the restaurant is not busy at all, and second, they force you to pay 18% gratuity for SRW menu, so they can just get away with poor service yet you cannot really do much else. That is not okay - if you are mandating gratuity, at least show to customers that they deserve it. Our lunch lasted almost 2 hours, but the amount of food served can easily be consumed for a fraction of that time, even if the food must be made to order (which I prefer nonetheless).

I went here with a friend and got their 9c Nigiri Bento! Service was fast and we were seated quickly. The place was also clean. The fish was fresh but the rice felt kind of dry. Overall it wasn't amazing but it was good. The presentation of the bento box was beautiful!

From the food presentation and price, I expected much more from this place and I'm glad I did not end up booking this place for my special events. I was a bit decieved upon walking into the resturant that looked like a standard modern sushi place, though I find their variety of window, bar, and table seating very comfortable. The salmon quality is fantastic - but can you find bad salmon in Seattle? - everything else was basic. Nothing stood out to me in their standard jewel box set. I'm sure they have much high quality fish that doesn't come in their set meals. The way they stick an imitation crab stick and tamago in a nigiri set felt ripped off. Overall, the vibes was like... a tourist trap? Also, automatic 18% gratuity for a small party is not enticing. I would love to give it another try, as the staffs are extremely welcoming and professional, and there are a lot of options on their menu. AYCE for $65 runs from Nov - Jan and I'd like to see where there will go with this.

The boxes are really cute and high quality, though admittedly not a ton of food. We felt everything we ordered was tasty. I enjoyed my sushi rolls. Their drink selection is a bit limited with respect to bottled beer only and cocktails, but if you like sake, they have a whole sake menu and several flight options. The service was highly attentive and timely. I'd definitely recommend. The only down side is that there's virtually nothing for vegetarians here (I'm pescatarian so I had many choices).

This was such a cute little spot in Seattle. We were saying the night before leaving on a cruise and this was within walking distance of our hotel so we decided to try it out. We went for lunch so we both go a two roll lunch special. I got a cucumber avocado roll and avocado maki and my mom got a spicy Tuna roll and tuna maki. We both really enjoyed our lunch. We also got hot tea which came in single glasses with a tea bag but you could just ask for more hot water. The waiter was nice and we enjoyed the experience. My mom said the sushi was good quality tuna but the best we've ever had was in California.

Beware of the inflated reviews! They offer big discounts / free food during dinner if you write a review. I got the sashimi bento lunch special which came out to $30 after tax and tip. The fish was not flavorful. I saw the shumai get prepped from frozen too and sitting at the bar, I even saw some of the fish come pre-sliced lol. The staff were very nice but I would not come back :(

The fish quality here is amazing. When I came into the restaurant we were seated immediately and the waitress was so kind to help us figure out our order. I ended up getting the box and it was really good especially for the price. After eating this ALL, I was super fully. The fish was thick cut and super tender, like butter. We also got the carpaccio which was good, but not the best I've had.

Ambiance: a very Japanese/modern vibe at this restaurant. Service: Per usual. Greeted with friendly smile and was inviting. Good: the sashimi quality was quite good here! I especially enjoyed the salmon and unagi! I got the 16 piece sashimi bento box and a feel special sashimi. Presentation was wonderful. Definitely a must return for their daily specials!

Where do I even start?…read more I feel blessed to live down the street from Fish Guys. You've no doubt heard how killer the poke is, that's why you're here on Yelp. Well, let me tell you - the hype is real! You can't go wrong with any option, but my personal favorite is the spicy salmon. And that's just the tip of the iceberg, my friends. Smoked salmon belly bowl is to die for. Same with the eel. So are ALL of the sushi bombs. Did I mention the smoked salmon mac salad is the undisputed king of mac salads? Don't even get me started on Sal's specials. From the crab rolls, to the Salmon Sinigang - the lunch options just don't miss. All of the smoked salmon is some of the best I've had in my 15 years living in Seattle. Especially the salmon jerky. I put the smoked fish up there with the best in PNW. All of the seafood here is so fresh, no matter what you're looking for you're getting the best the city has to offer. The staff are all amazing at what they do and are so friendly. You can tell they really love what they are doing and that speaks to how great the owners are. Love supporting good businesses. One trip and it won't be long before you have a new go-to take out spot and you'll be rocking fish guys gear. Trust me, just go...now.

This was at 12:30PM and there was a long line out the door and around the corner, taking almost 30 minutes. I had previously visited on a rainy winter weekday for lunch and there wasn't a line at all. What a difference the day and weather can make! While in line we could see the chefs cutting up ahi fresh right in front. The longer line gave me time to chat with the owner as he was trimming off the skin and other bits. I learned that tuna skin is much tougher than salmon skin so can't be eaten like salmon skin chips. He also said that the trimmed parts can be taken for free if anyone wants them. Apparently they make good crab bait! Medium w/ Rice, Traditional Limu Ahi, Hamachi, Mac Salad ($21.50) - I love the Hamachi poke mix. It's fresh, tender, and buttery fish tossed in a creamy and slightly spicy sauce, filled with little briny pearls and plenty of aromatics giving a super umami bite. The Limu Ahi is very fresh as well - I mean, it's sliced right in front, and there's so much turnover of the food that's it's pretty much guaranteed fresh. The tuna is fresh and tender, but there's noticeably more sinew compared to the hamachi. The Mac Salad is also really good. It's super creamy and the macaroni isn't overcooked so it still has some bite. The rice is unfortunately the weakest item in the bowl. It's a little too dry for my tastes and is only lightly tossed with rice vinegar, giving a tangy flavor. Overall all the poke is fresh, the flavors all meld together into a delightful balanced bite, and the sauces are not overwhelming. Ono Poke definitely serves some great poke! I live in Everett and so it was going to be a little drive. Nothing crazy but a good jaunt outside of my usual grounds. Upon arrival i noticed it was located on the corner of a small strip mall. Ono Authentic Hawaiian Poke. It looks very unassuming until you open the door. Just the vibes and energy walking in there were seemed like what it might feel debarking the plane when you arrived to the big island. At least that what I gather since I've yet to experience it. But man, this place is small inside but the atmosphere feels big. Great music playing. Packed with patrons. And the poke counter just stacked with deliciousness. I've been here 3 times to get a good idea of the flavors and varieties that have. And even though I have my favorites , everything I have tried is by far incredible. It's fresh. The quality is amazing. And the flavors of each individual selection is stand alone but not overwhelming or smothering to the point you feel you can't taste the fish. It actually accentuates the flavor of each fish and brings about an undercurrent of flavor and subtle umami that I never experienced at any other poke spot. My first visit I had the large spicy Hawaiian tombo. Sided with macaroni salad. And an order of the same but on the bites, or poke bombs. I got my food to go and ate in my car. It was the most beautiful looking poke I've had. And the bite was just scrumptious. The rice was cooked perfectly. Now I always thought it was weird to have warm rice with cold raw fish but I finally figured out why. It just made the dish so much better. My second visit I ordered a regular but decided to get Joes sampler. I had a little bit of everything. Seaweed salad. Cucumber salad. Edamame. Scallops, which turned out to be one of my top favorites. Salmon. Tuna. I highly recommend getting the sampler for f you are undecided but open to trying everything. My last visit was my definite deciding choice in terms of what my go to order will be for future trips. I had the regular but half limu traditional and they don't do scallops on Saturday so I opted for the octopus. I'm not a fan of octopus per se, and more so for the respect of the animal itself versus flavor and texture but it was pretty good. I won't order it again because my go to from here on out will be the traditional limu, scallops, macaroni salad and seaweed salad. Next time you want to try or get poke, head on down to Edmonds and hit this place. You'll be satisfied.
