I was there for a baby shower today and it was wonderful. About 40 people. The food was great, the menu moderately priced (outside of the shower menu), and the waiter couldn't have been better. He worked that room for 4 hours straight and helped take out gifts to the cars. Genuinely friendly and helpful. Clean and well maintained restaurant. Ample parking and a little out of the way so it has a more cozy feel. Its next to BJ's on Constant Friendship. Skip the fast food and fast causal on Constant Friendship. Give this one a try. The restaurant is off the beaten path, but worth a visit. The service is great, our server was extremely friendly and informative. He was on top of telling us what was out for the night and was bringing drink refills before we even asked. The food was pretty good and I'd like to try more of the menu. Even the lettuce and tomato on the side of the plate looked fresh and amazing. I would 100% recommend going to the Abingdon Grill. My son and I stopped here for lunch when out Christmas shopping. I was excited to give this place a try after hearing good things. We were greeted and seated quickly and our waitress came by within minutes for our drink order. We ordered the mozzarella sticks, chicken sandwich and frutti di mare. My chicken sandwich was cooked perfectly and the bun was a soft buttery brioche, yum! I swapped out the fries for the veggies of the day. My son loved the frutti di mare. Everything came out within a reasonable time and our waitress was attentive with refills. They do have a bar (currently beer and wine) with plenty of televisions and will be a full bar in January. They could easily be 5 stars but the mozzarella sticks weren't piping hot a gooey and the seafood in the pasta was slightly overcooked (better over than under). I hope the restaurant makes it. The location is not great and they have sold themselves short with the name. Their food is much better than just "Grill". I look forward to returning soon and trying more on the menu. read more

Last minute we tried this new restaurant. We sat at a high top in the bar area. Our server was great. Good beers on tap and the wine was very good . The ahi tuna was tasty i wish it was more like a filet but the slaw that came with it was delicious! My French dip was very good . The dipping side was more of a thick gravy . But the gravy was delicious. Definitely homemade. I would definitely come back again and try an entree . I hope they make it ! read more

Went here not expecting much, but was completely blown away. The waitress (Tamika) was incredibly friendly and the food was fresh, from scratch, and awesome! My youngest's kids tenders were hand battered and homemade. One daughter had the linguine Alfredo and the other had the meatball sub. Wife had a salad with grilled shrimp and I had the cheesesteak. Everyone absolutely loved their meal. The cheesesteak was real sliced steak on a brioche roll that appeared to have been baked on site. Will definitely be returning! read more

Took a gamble and what a nice pay off! Staff was nice and attentive. Clearly a family that went into an out of business chain building. All items were reasonably priced and the quality was more then expected! I had the Chicken Marsala which was one of the best I have had in a while! My wife had a chicken salad sandwich which rivaled her mothers. My mother in-law had the burger that was wonderful with a delightful BBQ sauce. My father in-law had a wonderful NY Rueben sandwich. We come here quite regularly. Good food, good service and a pleasant place to dine and relax with friends. We don't feel hurried to leave and the staff is appropriately attentive. I do wish though, that they had a better red wine selection. There is a choice of only two - an unknown Merlot or a Cab both of which lack any appealing qualities. Went here 2 times and won't return. The first time we went while out running errands. Sat at the bar and after getting our drinks didn't see a server again for a very long time. By the time we did see her our drinks were empty so we paid for them and left. Understanding that times are tough right now with hiring help and wanting a new restaurant to succeed in the neighborhood we decided to give it another try. We had French Onion soup that was best described as onion water. The other items we got were just "okay." Quality of food and prices don't match. Inside needs updating and service needs improving. We were there with one other couple on a Sunday for lunch. An absolute ghost town. We had three different severs serve us because they were so slow. The decor looked liked it was from an old time dinner. Not modern at all. The foos was over priced for what you got. The large meatballs 2 were 7.50. When they came they were like small meatballs. The calamari was 11.50 for a small plate. The plate it was on was huge but only a quarter filled. They were cold and way to much breading. Food tool way to long to come out to especially since we were the only ones in there!! Certainly won't be going back. Nothing ever seems to last long there. Certainly not a good atmosphere when you don't have any clientele but two tables! read more

Never again will I support this restaurant. We a banquet and got told that we would be able to get food off of the menu and not be charged of the buffet. That service was not served. When it came time to pay for our bill a lot of parents got charged double and got told it was our fault it was like that. The manager was rude with his whole demeanor towards handling the situation. Never got a drink refill. Second time.....Burger, fries, cream of crab soup. The soup was awful. Small bowl, salty. Just awful. Fries were obviously out of a bag. Nothing special about the burger. Andddddd......everything is overpriced for the portion size you get. Not to mention the quality. Place is in an awful location....In theory you could eat here and go to the movies, or vice versa. Came here for my birthday and first of all the drinks were HORRENDOUS all so sugary and I've never complained about a drink in my life. The food was also horrible and cold. My mom got a prime rib that was ice cold and a baked potato which was also ice cold. My dads cheese steak was soggy. The entrees were good except the bread for the meatball sub and the reuben was soggy. The sauce for the meatball sub should be put on top of the meatballs not on the bread. But it was good! This restaurant was amazing. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the place was clean and comfortable. I had the 16 oz prime rib, with green beans and a baked potato. The prime rib was perfect, and flavorful. Even the green beans were fresh- and cooked well. My wife's meal was also delicious. Even our 4 year olds spaghetti and meatballs were prepared well and showed care in the plating. I should also mention that instead of crayons and a paper menu or coloring page, they gave our son a little activity book with a small dinosaur toy, stickers, tattoos, crayons, paper, and a slap bracelet!! This actually occupied him for the whole meal. We plan to come back with friends, and to share news of this wonderful new place. Also- I accidentally left my credit card at the restaurant and had to return. I spoke with the owner/manager who was also warm and friendly. First of all, giving this place a one star is being extremely generous. Will not be returning after a bad experience on Oct. 2nd. Waitress brought us dirty silverware with food particles still on 2 of the 3 sets of forks and 3 tiny bite sized pieces of bread to start things off. My wife got a beer which was fine, but the sweet tea my son and I got tasted bitter with a strange aftertaste. Overheard one of the other waitress telling customers next to us not to order the sweet tea and other items as they didn't taste right to her and other customers. I immediately asked for a Coke and got rid of the tea. My wife got the cream of crab soup and I got the French onion soup for appetizers. The crab soup had very little crabmeat and was very bland. Most of the crabmeat was just placed on top of the soup. The French onion soup was inedible as the broth was extremely salty and had too much cheese added to it making it even more salty. For the entrees, my wife got the mussels, I got the French Dip and my son got the spaghetti and meatballs. The mussels were ok, lacked flavor and did not need onions piled on them. A simple butter and garlic sauce would have been better. My sons entree was served with no meatballs. Had to get a different waitress to get them as our original waitress apparently just left during service. His food was just ok as the sauce and meatballs were bland and was served warm, not hot. As for my French Dip, it was absolutely terrible. The bread was actually served burnt to a black crisp. The meat contained gristle and was overloaded with cheese causing the entire sandwich to be inedible due to the extremely salty taste. The only item that was good were the fries. Overall, a very poor experience and complete waste of $60. Will not reccomend this restaurant to anyone else after this experience. read more
