Abelardo's Mexican Fresh - Chorizo Egg Burrito - Mexican Near Me - Omaha, Nebraska

It was ok but it has gotten very expensive and feels less worth the money it was bland and lacked flavor. The green sauce didn't taste fresh and homemade anymore. I have been eating at abelardos since the original opened it just is not what it was when it first opened. We had the breakfast burritos steak sausage and ultimate meat read more

Yes- if you are looking for authentic Mexican food this is the place! We live in Los Angeles and we have award winning restaurants, but I'm here to tell you that this joint has tortillas & food that is just as good. Maybe even better. I now understand why my son who grew up in LA & lives in Omaha says is one of his all time favorite restaurant. Truly delicious! read more

I have ordered from Abelardos many times for delivery. One of the few places I can get a tamale, and that's my favorite thing from this place. They have a delicious Pina drink which is always super refreshing and addicting. The best drink ever. I have also tried sope which I didn't like so much, carne asada tacos which are okay but they give you a really gross guacamole with it. It's really runny and not authentic or freshly made at all. Burrito and Enchilada combo was also okay but nothing special. Super fries are my usual go to with the tamale and pina, they are decent but again avoid the guac on it. read more

The food is always good, although a little inconsistent sometimes. The people are also always super nice.

I eat here often and you can't beat your taco salad or the nachos. Unfortunately today I got some jalapeno poppers and it was only a six pack, but they were not hot and two of them actually still were cold in the middle. It's almost like they put them in the fryer but didn't leave them in long enough. Abnormal for this unit, but not sure. I'll buy poppers again here read more

The food is good, but if you go through the drive-through, check your order before you leave. I received no apology at all for me having to drive all the way back to pick up what they didn't give me the first time. And I received nothing in return for my extra trip to try to get me to come back again. Disappointed! read more

Food was good. Just seemed like cashier was on drugs and not paying full attention. Didn't give me no salsa at all.

The most bland rice bowl. Definitely just sticking to chipotle. Didn't even put salsa or any flavoring..

Not sure what's goin on with the place. The workers are almost incompetent to be honest, usually we get them late night for dinner but there's always multiple things going wrong with the order. It's either food missing, incorrect drinks, or incorrect order. Keep in mind we order normal things on the menu, and don't customize it cause we know it's too hard for them to have the order correct. Today we went to get two breakfast burritos & 12 rolled tacos. They gave us 5 rolled tacos, and charged us for 12. They were overcooked. The breakfast burritos, please don't try to get them if they include potatoes. It taste like you're eating a mash potato burrito and egg with a small amount meat. I couldn't eat more than two bites of my breakfast burrito because it literally tasted like mashed potatoes w bacon wrapped in a tortilla.. it's disturbing. They gave us two Diet Pepsi instead of regular Pepsi, when nicely asking the guy if he can switch it regular Pepsi, they argue. "I know what I'm doing" it's 6:30 am sir. Do you think I want to argue over you giving us the wrong drink? Can we please have workers that aren't lazy, hard of hearing, and ready to argue over nothing. Can we please have cooks that aren't lazy? For the amount you charge your customers can you at least have the food tasting good? Good customer service? Is that too much to ask for read more

Love this location. I go in to order and take mine togo. It's always tasty, the staff is awesome and they get me in an outta there quick. I like the Tuesdays special, it's a fantastic deal. I get 5 beef tacos with the fried shell, add pico and sour cream, couple things of their hot sauce. So dang good ! And for under $8 with the extra toppings. Heck of a deal! read more

They hung up the phone when I asked them what time they close. Who run a restaurant like this??

Don't expect to get any food here late night. Be better off getting a frozen pizza because atleast you'll get what you want. Constantly screw up your order or have 2 items on their menu. Despicable....... Don't have late hours if you won't make the food. Been progressively getting worse month after month read more

Best Mexican food I've ever had, the carne asada tastes just like my mami's horchata here is fire too

Each burito was pretty horrible. There was such a huge imbalance of ingrdients, the eggs were so overcooked they looked boiled , and the pico was basically just huge chunks of tomato read more

As I rolled north from Texarkana, I noticed the taste of Mexican food rolling to bland. In the case of Adelardo's the value of my steak burrito was excellent, but it had too little flavor. The proportion of steak to other ingredients was excellent, and the steak was not the cheap stuff, rather lean and tender pieces. The flavor was downright limp-wristed, a taste sensation that seems to work in Omaha where there exists a culture that grew up on Gefelendcockapherer from the old country, or something like that. For taste, three stars; for value, five stars, so an average of four stars. Or you could take along a bottle of El Yucateco sauce. Yeah, that'd do it. read more

Went to 120 and Fort tonight, April 9 2025. Got two orders of rice. The size has been reduced to about 1/2. We go there often and they frequently get the order wrong (tonight they forgot our hot sauce) but this is the first time the food was bad. The rice was mostly very hard kernels. Almost broke a tooth. Didn't cook it I guess. Gone too far downhill. That was our last trip. Plenty of good Mexican food all over the city. read more

Went through the drive-thru and the men were perverts. Different men, who worked in the back, kept coming to the window smiling at me. One came to the window and was staring at me and smiled and WINKED. I was so uncomfortable, I didn't even want to eat my food. Such a weird, uncomfortable experience. read more

Yummy food big selection of items affordable price nice food service and they offer kid menus

We ordered two breakfast burritos and a kids meal. We got a bean burrito and the adult version of what the kid meal was supposed to be. So they shorted us half our order and the half that they gave us was completely wrong. We also asked for the amount of salsa that we needed and they gave us half of what we needed. I had to go in and order what we wanted from the kiosk so I could feed my family I do not recommend this location this was the last straw with them . They have messed up orders before and I guess it's my fault for thinking they could get it right! Save yourself a headache go somewhere else. read more

This place is getting 5 stars from me for a few reasons. The first reason is the salsa bar. I love the guacamole salsa which is awesome. I think in total they have 5 salsas to choose from. Second reason is that they are the only place in Omaha that serves fried shredded beef tacos (that I know of). This is not a hard taco which is also on the menu. For those that aren't familiar with this item they take a soft corn tortilla and add the shredded beef. They then fry the taco shell and meat which makes the shell crispy. After frying they fill the taco with lettuce and cheese. These tacos tend to be a tad smaller than a traditional hard taco since they are using the soft corn tortillas that usually accompany street tacos. None the less well worth the $$. Just order 3 if you are used to the size of the hard tacos. I also have to give a shout out to the many burritos. Having moved here from San Diego I had my share of great Mexican food and authentic taco shops. The burritos here are legit and good size. I like the California or the Carne Asada. What makes a good burrito? The tortilla and this place has that. Beans and rice are also tasty. I usually order a side of both. The place has a drive thru but I always go in to take advantage of the salsa bar. When my wife and I crave authentic Mexican food this is our go to. read more

Food quality has gone down and prices increased drastically. Better find a better Mexican restaurant if you have the cravings for Mexican american or make it at home for a fraction of the price. read more

Of the locations in Omaha, this location is certainly not one of the best. Last time I ordered from here my order was incorrect. No big deal, it happens. The most recent time the cashier was short in dealing with the customer and the queso was ice cold. Not all that impressed with this location at all recently. read more

Great value for the price and service! I'm a big fan of all the Abelardo's in town, simply because they do a great job at texmex and street mexican food. My guilty pleasure is the chimichanga (fried burrito, you cannot go wrong) and they make a darn good Tamale too. They have the "good" meats (tounge meat, yes yes- so you know it's not too Americanized). This location is a sit down restaurant and also a drive thru like many of the others. read more

Went here yesterday for lunch. Dined in. Ordered a shrimp burrito (no pico) + sour cream and a medium drink. Total was over $15. When my order was called they called it out by what it was and she looked directly at me. I started to eat my burrito and after a few bites realized I wasn't getting any shrimp in my mouth. I was getting random bites of chicken though..I also started to taste potato. Because I was with coworkers and pressed for time I just ate what I could until I was full, which ended up being about half the burrito. I decided to open it up with a fork to see what was actually in it. Some type of beef, cheese, and French fries..gross! Not even close to what I ordered. For $15 for a burrito it should have been made correctly. read more

So disappointed. Went through drive thru on 3 different occasions, all 3 times the order was either wrong or incredibly sub par. First time, ordered a chimichanga and received an eggs and chorizo plate. Second time, received the correct order, a chimichanga, but was barely warm and was not fried hardly at all - was just a big soft burrito. Today, ordered a chimichanga again, with chicken - got home to find it was ground beef and was again not at all crispy - must have been fried for about 3 seconds - soft as can be. Sorry, but 3 strikes and you're out Abelardo's! read more

Great authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. Their Taco Tuesday's are a great deal, basically it's 5 tacos for five bucks. This night we did 10 tacos, 5 beef and 5 chicken. I will say the beef tacos were a big hit in my household. The fried flour shell was very good. I've been here before not sure why it took me so long to try the tacos. The service is always quick and efficient.Abelardos is definitely a great option for authentic Mexican food in Omaha, you won't be disappointed. read more

The best drive thru Mexican restaurant in Omaha. It's drive thru, not fast food. Be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes for your order if your only behind one car...longer if it's busy. I believe it's worth the wait. I always get the carne asada taco and it's over stuffed with chunky nibblets of steak. It's a little salty but I love it. The chips and queso is a bit spicy. Also if you order chips and cheese...they just sprinkle cheese on top of chips ‍so know what your ordering. read more
