I was a returning customer here based on solid past service, but my recent visit was alarming. I brought in a higher-mileage vehicle to re-check after addressing issues from a previous failed smog test. Instead of using standard diagnostic procedures, the technician told me to turn the car on and literally put the "pedal to the metal," demonstrating with hand motions to floor the accelerator to check the exhaust for visible smoke. Despite my clear hesitation, he insisted that was his method. I followed his instructions in the lot, only for him to reverse course, claim I did it wrong, and say I should have only revved it to 2,000-3,000 RPM. He then smirked and remarked, "I thought you were going to blow your engine." Treating a customer's vehicle with reckless disregard--and then joking about causing catastrophic engine failure--is unacceptable from an automotive professional. If you drive an older or high-mileage vehicle, take it elsewhere. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I have been at this location so many times for a Smog Check. The quality of work is above anything I have visited before. The owner goes beyond just a smog check. He always is so helpful with other things. i had a problem with my key fob. The value of his work is amazing. The turn around time is amazing when he is doing the smog check. The best part of this there is always a coupon to save you money on the smog check. Coming to this location for a smog check makes my life so much easier. Thank you again. read more

Bad vibes from the get-go. No good morning, hi, nothing. Just, What do you want? Smog test...This guy is a complete jerk, opened the hood, saw an after-market part, said it was tampered with & failed it. The part in question was replaced 15 years ago & is carb compliant. He didn't even bother to check, just noticed it was a different color-fail! It has passed every smog check the last 15 years, but here. Got charged for a failure. Took it to another smog place I've never been to, instant pass. read more

Good service. Was in and out in about 20 minutes. Very courteous. I would definitely use them again.

Some people were saying nice owner. I guess I went at a bad time? I went in and waited few mins at their small front desk, he stared at me and ask me what I needed. No hello or hi o.o...awk then he said its about 1 hour wait..and I can come back in an hour. I was bit confused like come back hour later or like the service will take about an hour. He clearly didn't care if he got my business or not. He was like "you can wait if you want." I guess he is doing great with his business already. I mean there are so many other smog test places..why even bother with unfriendly owner... read more

Please do yourself a favor and never go to this business. The shop opens and closes when it wants to and the owner is hardly ever there. He is extremely rude and could not care less about any of his customers. I had a car that was having trouble passing smog and instead of helping me with the solutions of how to pass; he spent the entire time dissing the upkeep of my vehicle and blaming me for wasting his time smogging a vehicle that couldn't pass a smog check. Not to mention, I still paid full price for smogging the vehicle despite it not passing, which I was okay with - but he still made me feel like I wasted his time. I wouldn't recommend this business to my worst enemy. read more

Avoid this place like the plague! These clowns wanted to charge me $130 to smog my 1997 Ford Thunderbird. I only gave them a try because they're closer to home than where I normally go. Big mistake. Go to us smog check on pipeline in Chino instead. $75 there instead of the 130 these rip-off artists tried to charge me. read more

Called ahead, asked what time they closed, stated 12pm. Got there at 11:20 and waited till 11:55 when he took my info. Filled out paperwork and told me it will be $65. Returned paperwork needed and gave him their coupon for $20 off, for him to tell me these are not good after 12pm. I asked where it states that on coupon as it stated Valid Mon-Sat. He stated he can't write everything on coupon. Also, it was 5 min. to 12, and I was there since 11:20am. Poor service management. I would have never waited almost 40 min. for nothing if I knew this in advance. Don't put out coupons if you aren't going to honor them!! read more

Great service. Explained some preventative maintenance issues and what I could expect from a cost perspective from a mechanic. The price was fair and I was in and out within 30 minutes. read more

EXCELLENT!! Stopped in for a Star Certified Smog test and was in and out in 15 minutes. Quick and friendly service. This will always be the place I go from now on. read more

Amazing quick service. Was very helpful and service was as advertised. Did not experience any issues at all.

Fast, easy, out of there in 5 minutes. The staff was friendly. Parking lot is small, not a lot of parking spaces available. If you have a lowered car, it might be harder to get in without scraping the front lip/bottom a bit, unless you slant a lot getting in/out of the place. 5 stars in my book. Will use their service again. read more

Have to get our van smog test before the DMV registration. Saw the advertisement for this place so I called to see if I need to make an appointment and how it will cost. I have the make and model of our van and it was quoted for a price and when I got there, they said is about $40 dollars more. I said no because of quoted on the phone. They honored it but I didn't care for this type of practice. It took them less than 15 minutes to hook up the system and signed the paper. Left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

The owner is so friendly and professional! I had a coupon from the LaVerne quarterly so I got $20 off! Best experience and highly recommended! read more

Had a great experience. Quick, fast, professional and very friendly. I would recommend this place for sure.

Good service, friendly fellow, I recommend this spot for a smog check. He will get you in and out in a hurry.

The place is nothing to look at but an auto garage. Owner doesn't smile but that's because he's in a hurry to get one in and out. $60 bucks for a smog check . I was in and out in 35 mins. read more

We have been bringing all our company vehicles here for almost 10 years- always fantastic service!

This has been a great place to get a smog test. I've used it for more years than I can remember. Dependable. Honest. Polite. Once I went to another place because it, too, was close to my home in La Verne. That place told me they did a preliminary test and determined they needed to work on the car before it would pass i refused. On the way home I stopped at ABC. I didn't say anything about the other place. ABC tested and the car passed. They don't do repairs. Nothing to gain telling me they can fix it so it will pass. From then on I never went to anyone else. Very happy with ABC and recommend them to others often. And so far nobody I've talked to has been disappointed. read more

On this Hot Day, I went in for a smog for my old car that took him to smog 1 1/2 hrs. It's funny it didn't feel that long. He was helpful and gave good car care tips. Great place to come and get your smog check. The owner is very thorough and helpful. I'll be back!

After many many smog checks on multiple vehicles over the years ABC was the best. The service was fast, pleasant and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them. No need to look elsewhere, you found the right place when looked here. read more

Don't waste your time, this business doesn't observe operating hours, so who knows when they will be open when you show up.

Made an appointment for this location and I still ended up third after walk-ins. I paid for the smog and failed because I had a quarter tank needed to fill up to 3/4 full and he knew it. I had to pay an additional $20.00 for a retest and the card reader was not working I ended up going to get cash come back wait in line again. I won't be returning. read more

Do not take your car or truck to this business if it needs a smog certificate. So I had just paid $1400 to get everything fixed on my truck so that it would pass smog. I took it to this establishment thinking it would be a breeze. First off the entire time the gentleman who owns the place was running the test it felt like he was looking for reasons to fail me. He must've checked the my catalytic converters 10 times checking and double checking to make sure they were the right ones, the whole time keeping me worried because I was thinking oh shoot I must have the wrong ones on because that was the way he was making it seem. Then he finally tells me ok they are good. So my truck is going through all the tests and bam! It passed with flying colors like I knew it would! So I'm stoked because like I said I just paid all that money just to get it to pass. Mind you I have a guy that I take my truck to that I trust and he assured me if I fix all of these things my truck will pass no problem. So my truck passed all the emissions tests so I'm expecting to get my certification and be on my way. Well no, he looks at a small hose that is part of the emissions computer on the truck and says ohhh I'm sorry I didn't notice this before. This right here is no good. It's too old of a hose for me to pass it. You passed all the emissions tests but you are gonna fail my visual inspection. I said what? What do you mean? The hose is obviously working because if it wasn't I wouldn't of passed the emissions tests in the first place so how can you fail me for a hose that clearly works. He said well I'm failing you because it will fail sometime in the near future. I was blown away. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. So wait a second here, let me get this straight you're failing me for a hose that is working now but may fail in the future. That can't be ok. It was insane. I said ok give me whatever I need that says I passed the test. Now he starts backpedaling. Not saying he will pass me but just telling me that all I have to do is go replace the hose and then come back and that it will only cost me an additional $16 or something. I said nope I'll just take it somewhere else and I don't care if I have to pay another $70 or whatever it is I'm not giving you another penny. So here's what I did I left, went directly to another smog check place explained to them what just happened they hooked my truck up to their equipment and it passed once again with flying colors. They even looked at the hose and said it was fine. I did have to pay them the full amount but there was no way I was going back to that guy. I don't know what was up with him but to me he seemed like one of those people that is looking for ways to fail you instead of ways to help you. Like he wants to give you bad news or something it was so strange. Regardless I do NOT recommend that you go to this place this guy is awful at what he does. read more

I asked for a reprint of my single page smog report after explaining to Aman (the owner) that my mechanic needs it to fix my car. After Aman bluntly told me that I have the wrong mechanic, he pulled up my smog report on his laptop screen, then allowed me to view and take a picture of it. I said it would be great if what I am seeing can be printed. So I requested again if he can just reprint the report. He responded and said he will do it if I pay for his paper and ink?!? Aman is rude. I came to this place because of their great Yelp ratings but definitely not coming back anymore. read more
