Excellent service from Sam on completing our Smog Certification on a Ford Fusion. We purchased a new battery for the car just prior to having a smog check. This required a special drive sequence to allow the cars computer to activate to allow for the test to be made. We couldn't get accurate details on what the drive cycle process would be to complete the test from another smog station over a month earlier that had declared the car had failed to pass testing. Even the Ford dealer told us to just drive the car for a few more days and it would automatically re-set. It wasn't nearly that simple on this Ford. Sam was very helpful, pleasant, and enjoyable to talk to. He spent time with me on the phone the day before we visited his shop explaining the very likely reason the drive- cycle wasn't completed, and what it would take to resolve the issue. With his help the next day at his shop the car was cleared to test and the smog certificate issued, all within a couple of hours. His quote for work was very fair for the testing and certificate, and he honored the quote provided on the phone the day before. The work was completed exactly when promised. Arrow Smog definitely has a new and permanent customer. We had a lot of anxious moments the past month thinking there was something seriously wrong with the Fusion where a few simple steps needed to be followed to correct the issue and get the car's new license plate tags for this year. I have been bringing my cars for smog for years. It is always no pass, no paid. My car failed on the first test. The guy charged me $50s. and told me to bring it back when the car is ready. I came back a week later. The car passed but he charged me another 50s + certificate.  Total scammer and unacceptable. No wonder the business is quiet and no waiting. read more

Search for another station for better service. Previous reviews are ancient and not many good recent posts to have considered this place. Worst experience and not friendly at all. It's 2024 and he charges a ridiculous $1.75 for credit card payment. Wants cash so he doesn't have to report it. And huge warning, don't sign the estimate carbon forms in advance because he writes on the original top copy with your signature. So whatever he writes on after starting the work, he holds you as in agreement with your signature. read more

Complete and utter crap. Was charged $51, was told the car PASSED EMISSIONS but that he wasn't going to pass the car or process the paperwork because one of my dash lights was out. Was told to go fix the light, come back, and then for another $20+ he'd pass it. Total scammer and I wouldn't be surprised if half the reviews on this posting are friends of his. Almost tempted to file a dispute with the bank for services not rendered but in part I blame myself for not taking the car to our usual smog test center. read more

I own a 2010 Camry SE and this was the first time my DMV renewal form stated Smog Certificate Required. Although I paid my registration online, I still can't receive my sticker for incomplete registration. I looked up on Yelp and saw many positive reviews for Arrow Smog & Test. Although I didn't make an appointment, Jeremy was very nice to get me in right away on a Saturday morning. He told me that the wait time was about 30 minutes as there were 2 cars ahead of me, but the smog test was actually completed in about 20 minutes. Had my 84 caddilac taken care of by Sam. While my time being there, there were 5 clients coming in, each done within 10 minutes, 15 max. I can honestly say that he is one of the best in customer service, knowing what he doing and making sure the customer understands what the problem is. Now to my experience; with my vehicle being an older one and myself not being very knowledgable with cars, he had not only explained but also shown exactly what the reason was for it failing the test. This was my third time trying to get my Honda smog tested. I spent hours waiting at two other places only to have the machines break both times. This time, I called in advance to make sure their machine was working. Still, I prepared myself for a long and unpleasant wait. But that wasn't necessary, because the test was over in 10 minutes. I called around 10 am and the guy said he wasn't sure if they would be open - but he would call me back.. It was like 3pm and I never got a call to let me know if they would be open or closed!
