Very friendly and I was in and out in like 20 minutes. The only issue was that I had a coupon but it was only for cars that didn't require a "Star Certified" that could have been on the coupon. Otherwise I had no issues. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Excellent service from Sam on completing our Smog Certification on a Ford Fusion. We purchased a new battery for the car just prior to having a smog check. This required a special drive sequence to allow the cars computer to activate to allow for the test to be made. We couldn't get accurate details on what the drive cycle process would be to complete the test from another smog station over a month earlier that had declared the car had failed to pass testing. Even the Ford dealer told us to just drive the car for a few more days and it would automatically re-set. It wasn't nearly that simple on this Ford. Sam was very helpful, pleasant, and enjoyable to talk to. He spent time with me on the phone the day before we visited his shop explaining the very likely reason the drive- cycle wasn't completed, and what it would take to resolve the issue. With his help the next day at his shop the car was cleared to test and the smog certificate issued, all within a couple of hours. His quote for work was very fair for the testing and certificate, and he honored the quote provided on the phone the day before. The work was completed exactly when promised. Arrow Smog definitely has a new and permanent customer. We had a lot of anxious moments the past month thinking there was something seriously wrong with the Fusion where a few simple steps needed to be followed to correct the issue and get the car's new license plate tags for this year. Thank you again for all of your help. read more

I used to take my car here every time I needed a smog check and was always happy with the service. Then I bought a new to me car and didn't need a smog check for a few years. I took it in today and it was exactly the same. Super friendly, fast and efficient service. Arrow Smog is a hidden gem and I highly recommend this location. read more

Sam is fantastic. Went out of his way to save me money. Very happy. Smog check, oil change, some replacement of plastic trim parts. Excellent work. read more

I have been bringing my cars for smog for years. It is always no pass, no paid. My car failed on the first test. The guy charged me $50s. and told me to bring it back when the car is ready. I came back a week later. The car passed but he charged me another 50s + certificate.  Total scammer and unacceptable. No wonder the business is quiet and no waiting. read more

Sam was very helpful and got my smog check done fast! Great prices and great customer service. Highly recommend coming to Arrow Smog and test, Sam is the man! read more

Excellent place very nice and clean Perfessional Quick reasonable price you will be very happy you found this place I now I am and will continue to be a customer read more

Search for another station for better service. Previous reviews are ancient and not many good recent posts to have considered this place. Worst experience and not friendly at all. It's 2024 and he charges a ridiculous $1.75 for credit card payment. Wants cash so he doesn't have to report it. And huge warning, don't sign the estimate carbon forms in advance because he writes on the original top copy with your signature. So whatever he writes on after starting the work, he holds you as in agreement with your signature. read more

I have been coming here since 2012, always great service. fast and professional. My family and friends come here as well. Highly recommend!!

I arrived at 11:30 am they told me it would be 1 1/2 hour. It was 3 pm and it wasn't ready I had to complain and then they finally got back to me. It was ridiculous amount of time I had to wait. Don't bother going there!!!! read more

They did my 2005 Acura TL SMOG test in less than 15 minutes. I was the first person as well. Great Job!

I highly recommend this smog check location. Sam was very friendly and professional and got me out in less than 15 minutes. Plus this has a great roomy waiting room, compared to other smog check places. read more

Called ahead, and brought my car in for a smog check. Sam did the work. Very nice guy, professional and out-going. Pricing is OK. Would recommend anyone to go here for a smog check for you vehicle. read more

Complete and utter crap. Was charged $51, was told the car PASSED EMISSIONS but that he wasn't going to pass the car or process the paperwork because one of my dash lights was out. Was told to go fix the light, come back, and then for another $20+ he'd pass it. Total scammer and I wouldn't be surprised if half the reviews on this posting are friends of his. Almost tempted to file a dispute with the bank for services not rendered but in part I blame myself for not taking the car to our usual smog test center. read more

Class act place... I took my RV in for a smog check, and the service was exactly how they described over the phone... I will surely recommend these guys! read more

Came in about 10 minutes before closing and Stephen took care of my car promptly. Called in earlier in the day and was quoted a price and charged the same amount when I left. Great experience. read more

I own a 2010 Camry SE and this was the first time my DMV renewal form stated Smog Certificate Required. Although I paid my registration online, I still can't receive my sticker for incomplete registration. I looked up on Yelp and saw many positive reviews for Arrow Smog & Test. Although I didn't make an appointment, Jeremy was very nice to get me in right away on a Saturday morning. He told me that the wait time was about 30 minutes as there were 2 cars ahead of me, but the smog test was actually completed in about 20 minutes. I'm was very pleased with the courteous and professional service of Jeremy and his staff. I will definitely come back and recommend Arrow Smog & Test to others. read more

Had my 84 caddilac taken care of by Sam. While my time being there, there were 5 clients coming in, each done within 10 minutes, 15 max. I can honestly say that he is one of the best in customer service, knowing what he doing and making sure the customer understands what the problem is. Now to my experience; with my vehicle being an older one and myself not being very knowledgable with cars, he had not only explained but also shown exactly what the reason was for it failing the test. Helped me out the whole time while making sure I wasn't confused and very polite. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I know! read more

I looked on yelp for a smog test location and based on the review I came to this location and I have to say the service is by far fast and easy I was out in ten minutes. They make you feel comfortable welcome. I had a coupon in the penny saver for 29.99. The service was so good I brought my other car over the next day. read more

Arrow Smog & Test Only - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Montclair, California

Owner/operator was friendly and efficient. I liked that the prices were posted clearly along with CA guidelines for smogging cars and pricing. Plus it took only about 10 minutes. Total cost for smog test (car or pickup) is $60 including tax, fees, etc. read more

We came here for a smog test. The service took about 10 minutes and the price was fair. We had a good experience!

These guys were outstanding. A real person answered the phone and told me the wait time. Went on down, and was in and out in under 20 minutes! read more

I showed up on a Saturday about 3:15ish (totally my fault for putting it off), they usually close at 3 he said, but gladly took care of me right away and was super friendly about it too! Very professional and it only took 15 mins and the price was what I expected to pay anyway so no surprises there. He gets bonus points for knowing how to drive a stick (you would be surprised how many people can not!) read more

I've been coming here for years to smog my vehicles. The owner is attentive and welcomes new customers with a smile. The prices are very reasonable compared to other smog check businesses. This review is long overdue because this business is outstanding. read more

I came in around 11 AM on a Wednesday. Quick and efficient service at a great price. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Friendly and fast service is what I experienced. I came on a Friday around 10:30 a.m. so that might've helped. $50 total for a smog check didn't seem too bad. read more

Service was a snap. I called, I was given a price and time estimate- both of which were accurate. Service is consistent with what I read on Yelp. I am happy that I got what I was promised. Thank you. read more

Found a coupon for here and figured I would give them a try. First off there was no up charge because I have a BMW like other places try to charge. He was fast and nice to deal with. Waiting area was clean with some current magazines to look at. Overall I was very happy and would tell anyone to go here. read more

I send all of my customers to Sam. He gets them in and out at a reasonable price, in a reasonable timeframe. We really trust him and his staff. read more

I have two cars that need a smog check in opposite years. This is my 3rd year going to Sam. Honest, friendly, fast and efficient. I highly recommend Arrow Smog whenever you need this done. Usually done in about 20 minutes (or less). Sam was recommend by Upland Mercedes (Assaad is the owner) on Central. If you have a Mercedes I would also recommend Upland Mercedes. read more

SSam was so helpful! I was in and out in 20 and he even put a headlight in for me and showed me how to do it in the future! I highly recommend him! Great honest business! read more

Sam was EXCEPTIONALLY helpful, very friendly, and did the work quickly and efficiently. I will continue to drive out here from Irvine for the sheer level of professionalism that Sam displays. He does the research when a car has a part that may cause other smog stations to send the person away(or to a referee). You have a customer for as long as you are in this industry. read more

Quick service, but way too pricey!! Sam was very cordial and the service was quick, but I have never paid so much for a Smog Check for the same car. read more

Sam is friendly and professional. It took him about ten minutes to complete the smog check. I will definitely return!

Fast, convenient, cheap and friendly...a great combination for any automotive business

Awesome service and it took less than 20 minutes! I even paid less than the price my dad's friend's hook up was going to get me. Friendly, quick, clean and a great price. I left as a very satisfied customer. read more

This was my third time trying to get my Honda smog tested. I spent hours waiting at two other places only to have the machines break both times. This time, I called in advance to make sure their machine was working. Still, I prepared myself for a long and unpleasant wait. But that wasn't necessary, because the test was over in 10 minutes. My car passed, and it was the easiest and most pleasant smog check of my life. I'll be back in 2 years, and in the meantime, I will refer all my friends. read more

Called in on Friday, May, 27th to see if they would be open on Monday, May 30th since it was Memorial Day. I called around 10 am and the guy said he wasn't sure if they would be open - but he would call me back.. It was like 3pm and I never got a call to let me know if they would be open or closed! Ok whatever - I'll just go on Tuesday. So I go Tuesday morning and get there at 8:48 am . Business said it opened at 8:30am. No one was there. I waited for 30 minutes and still no one showed up so I left and took my business elsewhere ! #BadBusiness! read more

I'll just corroborate what everyone else has said -- fast, friendly, welcoming, attentive service. I felt at ease in the auto shop, which I don't usually feel in most auto shops, and even though Sam was with someone else when I first walked in, he took the time to welcome me and get me started on paperwork. The test took less than 20 minutes, and I left with the paperwork in hand. I'd probably drive a little further to get this painless of service, but Sam is about a block from where I live, which is great! read more
