Been going to this guy for almost 20 years since he was up on Foothill. Always very cool and informative, has helped with all kinds of questions on my cars over the years. Never had a problem with him, very affordable and quick service. I trust this guy and wont go anywhere else. Word of advice, never let a dead battery sit too long and wipe your car computer and make you late for registration with smog, or you'll learn the hard way what is a "drive cycle" and what is a "day pass". Trust me you don't want to know what those are. Dude here saved the day and told me all the tricks to "drive cycle" one of my spare cars and get it to fix the computer and pass smog legally. Well for starters he is open on Sundays. My registration was due on my truck this month, took it to two different smog places. Both told me the same thing after charging me for it not passing. Issue was, I had recently replaced the battery on my truck and reset all the emission memory. I called this place up before taking it he said he'll run it for me no charge if it passes we can move forward if not he won't charge me. Honest and reliable. As I was filling up my gas at the Chevron station, I noticed the smog check place next door. They had a lit sign in the window that read "open". Now, it was after 5:30 on a Tuesday, and I had just made it back to the I.E. from my long work commute. The last thing I wanted now was a headache. I know a bit about cars...okay, more than a bit...and I had done my homework on the average price and time it takes for this test. I stepped inside while my car was still being fueled to inquire about pricing and time it would take to complete. The employee, perhaps the owner, was nice and welcoming. He said it would cost $50 for everything. He also said he'd only need 15 minutes to get the job done! So, I pulled in and 15 minutes later, voila! I was pulling out. Total bill was $50! No trickery, add- ons, surprises or scamming! I will totally go back in 2 years when the DMV forces me to pay for services I really don't need again. By the way, my vehicle is only 6 years old with around 50K miles, and well-maintained. I will even recommend to my spouse and others in the area. The only negative thing I could say about this service is that there was no explanation regarding the process- like I have seen at some others places (based on reviews). For me, I already kind of knew or could deduct what was going on, plus all I really wanted to do was get the heck out of there!!! Great job at this location! Definitely give them a try. read more

I've been coming here for over 10 years, very legit service, I have older vehicles and I learned over the years, the emission system failure usually boils down to one of a few things.these guys only test your vehicle, they do not repair it, they have guidelines set by the state.. it's seems like a scam, but it's pretty accurate.They just relay the info to the state.This is my go to spot for emissions check.I want my older vehicles to burn fuel as clean as possible. read more
