Couldn't remember where I had gone but we were able to find it and I'm so glad we did! We had an excellent experience last time and this time was no different! Super receptive service! Price I'm happy with and he made it so easy! I'd suggest anyone come here! Didn't have to bring anything in, just asked for the smog and he took it from there! read more

Z Smog was highly recommended by my mechanic at Wasabi Auto Repair. I just dropped by on a Friday. The car on the rollers was just finishing up and I was next. before I knew it, my smog test was finished and ready for the next person who had just driven up. The place was fast, efficient and reasonably priced. This is my go-to Smog Testing station. Highly Recommended. read more

Needed a Smog check done and they were able to do same day! Gave them a call to get a quote and they offered me a very good price. When I got there the whole smog test took about 15-20 minutes. Everything was quick and straight forward. I would definitely come here again. The gentleman that checked my car was a pretty cool guy too. read more

Z Smog Check - Great job Gabriel. Thank you for your speedy service - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Upland, California

Went in on a Saturday for a smog check, I haven't had to smog my vehicles up until this year. I saw a $10 off certificate and went in to get my vehicle smogged. It passed smog. I was charged $65 with the $10 discount. I thought it was steep but, I had no knowledge of the prices for smog checks. I call around today and get quotes on a smog for another vehicle, I got a deal for $45 with certification. I was a bit taken back and decided to call the guy at Z Smog in Upland to clarify the pricing. I ask him for a quote on my vehicle that currently needs a smog and he says $45 out the door. Hmmm..okay how about for so and so vehicle (the car he had previously smogged) he says $45 out the door. I ask him, why did you charge me $65 with the $10 coupon. His excuse, is that today he's slow. The day I went in his shop was dead, silent and slow with only one customer, ME. He's a crook. Stay away from this shop. read more

Really helped my husband and I out. My husband called him and let him know we had two cars we needed a smog for and to schedule an appointment. He told him no need for an appointment, have a good quote, and to him bring both cars in. My husband did. He had great customer service. Super fast service! Very cool guy. Great price for both cars. Definitely will continue going to him! Thank you for all your help. read more

I took my car in for a smog check. The car failed the test. I had a check engine light on when I took it in. I wish the owner would have told me it might not pass because of this. It took him a couple of minutes plug in and read the code. He didn't have my best interests in mind or he would have let me know up front it wasn't going to pass. The dude still charged me! The worst was he gave me a couple of dozen reasons the check engine light was on. He didn't have a clue. He gets a two-star instead of a one-star because he was just so darn friendly. read more

I have a 96 Chevy Truck that I was trying to get smogged. I had five other shooed refuse to do it, as cars older than 2000 require a manual check that requires more work. I finally came here, and the man here had it done in a half hour at half the price another shop had quoted me. I'll be bringing my other cars here from now on. read more

Send message to Z Smog and get response within 5 mins. Super fast response. I was really close to the shop so I stop by hours after. I thought it will takes about half hour to get done. My in laws are not familiar with how to use Yelp but they were so happy with their experience with Z Smog that they asked me to post their comments. They took their 21 year old Jaguar to a dealer to get it smogged and they couldn't get it to pass. They then took it to Z Smog who spent the time to pay attention to the car and with their expertise it passed. They were very polite and professional too! read more

I have been here a total of 4 times since 2000. I will never come here again. There is always an issue. A friend of mine said the same thing. Last time I was here, he stated he could not smog my car because the Catalytic Converter was not original. He showed me the photo. Why not check that first and say, "Hey buddy we can't smog it sorry." Instead he does the whole smog check, wastes my times and takes over $50 from me. Go somewhere else.... anywhere else. Bad business. read more

Friendly guy and he got to work right away. He honored the coupon I found online. Thanks!

Gabriel at Z smog gave astounding service. I was pleased with all of his work. As soon as I came into the shop he quickly greeted me and got straight to work on my car when I told him I needed a smog check. The guy at Z smog has his sh@t together. Fast, friendly, lowest prices around, does all vehicle types, normal or STAR smog. Also in a great location: right next door to Stout House brewery, and walking distance to A-1 recycling and The Sandwich restaurant. Bring your recyclables and kill two birds with one stone, or go for a craft beer or lunch while you wait. I think I'll be a little less bummed next time I get that DMV renewal slip! read more

Look at the other 1 star rating his behavior is the same...GO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I have never had a reason to write a review because I can raise my concern to someone who can take care of it, but the person that did all the wrong things is the owner. Because who wants to deal with someone that agrees on a price, then threatens you to get extra money from you, by saying "seriously I want the extra money" or as he implied or else. He will give you all sort of justification of why he is threatening you and why he feels he wants the extra money from you. He can justify any reason to do whatever he wants, or like with me threatens me, because as he said he needed a tip and that is why he justified his threat. He also knows that police won't do anything, I called them, because he knows this is a civil issue, so he knows exactly what he is doing. You don't know what type of person you are walking up and dealing with and what he is going to do. Their are other reputable companies that can do the work without this drama. A person that does not keep his word and then threatens you...and his reasoning wants a tip. Are you kidding me a tip for what to threaten me..then what is that person. read more

My 2002 car had the catalytic converter reset while being serviced before I came to have it smog checked. It failed due to that, Gabriel at Z-Smog told me to drive more. So I tried it a couple days later, still failed the free retest. So my wife & I took a Sunday drive 200 miles over the weekend. He retested again for free and it passed. I have been coming to Z-Smog for many years. Great place, really nice people. I Highly Recommend them. read more
