This fantastic Doctor has a waiting room filled with patients and he took the time to answer EVERY question my Father asked. He heard EVERY word. He did this while looking my Father directly in his eyes. Like I said, he's a great Doctor. Dr. Itty didn't rush my Father or dismiss him like I've seen every other Doctor do. I was really impressed by his beautiful patience and his power of listening. Dr. Itty really was in the moment with my Father, not thinking about the other people in the busy waiting room. I have been struggling with ocular migraines for over 20 years. In the past year, they have gotten so much worse. I think my neurologist is at a loss as to what else to do with me at times. Dr. Bailey had just heard about the Altius migraine contact lenses and asked if I was interested in trying them out. Of course I jumped at the opportunity, since it would be amazing not to have to rely on daily medication. I felt relief from an oncoming migraine the moment I put these contact lenses in. I have now been wearing them every time I have to go into the office or have a full day of computer usage ahead of me for about 3 weeks. I went from 3 to 5 migraines a week to MAYBE one. My husband will tell you I look odd and most people don't notice them. The ones that know me took a while to notice what changed. The doctors here are excellent optometrists. Just be aware that they will always try to sell you on getting retinal imaging which is not covered by vision insurance. I happen to have medical reasons to get this done, but no one ever spends the effort to ask if I would like to use my medical insurance to cover it. If you want to save another doctors' appointment, it might be worth $59, but you may have to demand they submit to you should check your insurance coverages. I decided to save this type of exam for an ophthalmologist for their scope of practice. The lobby has many brand names of eye frames to choose from. Every year I ask if they have "asian fit" options or brands and they have yet to add to their selection. I was told they have some of those brands at the "other" office. When I asked about ordering from the catalog (I happen to know exactly what brand and style would work), they were kindly able to order it for me. However, when I inquired about the cost, it is clear there is a significant uncharge for their "broker" fees. You might consider just ordering the same frame cheaper from many options available online for the exact same thing. You are basically paying extra so you can try it on in person. It is coincidental that it will also be just above what your vision insurance covers. Overall, the eye care that is delivered by the optometrists here is great. I have always received excellent care from them. The extra services and add-ons should be carefully considered for the value if you so choose. Also, this medical complex has becoming increasingly busy and it is often much harder to find parking each year. You might need to allow a few extra minutes to circle around to find a spot so you are not late to your appointment.
