The actual completed work was done well; however, the dealings with Mr. Duenas were far from…read moresatisfactory. We contracted to have foundation work done and then near the completion of the work added to the contract that waterproofing and a French drain would also be done. We paid Mr. Duenas $1200 in advance for that work. Mr. Duenas never came back to complete the work. It has taken over a year and a complaint to the State Contractors License Board to get Mr. Duenas to give us back our money. Although the contract included a payment schedule, Mr. Duenas requested lump sum payments outside of the schedule so he could pay his workers. Once paid, we did not see Mr. Duenas or his crew for 7-10 days and there was no communication about when to expect them back to work. I do not recommend Duenas Concrete he does not return calls, fails to meet at agreed upon times and did not complete the work as promised and paid for.

We saw that some folks on Yelp said they weren't super reliable so we looked around to see if there were other companies to work with. Another company with online better reviews (likely written by their friends and family) took weeks to get back to us, were super flakey, and gave us an inflated bid that was WAY more expensive than what Duenas had offered. We called Duenas to see if he would honor his original bid, he promptly responded to say he would, and then completed the work in under a week. Couldn't ask for anything more.

We got a few different quotes and they were all within the same price range but with the good reviews this team had I thought it was the best choice. WRONG! They also said they can come back and re pour an also to fix a couple other things and we followed up twice and they never showed up. Simply my project was a 1-person job, and he came and completed it in less than 7 hours. My front, side, and backyard were cleaned, a tree and bushes trimmed, weeds removed, and everything looked simply amazing. Their price is very reasonable. Estimator, Rick Best, visited the project site in February, reviewed engineer's drawings and returned with the project manager, Tim Weberling, for measurements. They gave us an estimate within a week for work that met the engineer's specs, included drainage, and was reasonable. The team arrived as scheduled, were always punctual, and cleaned up by 4 p.m. every day. The crew, supervised by Tim, and Alex Calderon, were exacting and thorough. Excavator and loader operators were very good, and treated our property carefully. They asked before dumping soil and were careful with neighbors' property. I had a sloping/grading project with a 140 linear foot retaining wall/stair case and drainage we needed in our hillside backyard. I called about 10 other landscape/concrete and mason contractors that either didn't want to take it on, were to busy for more work, never called back or never followed up with a quote. Immediately upon contacting this company, Rick called me and asked me to email some photos of the property. After sending the photos Rick and Paul promptly came out to look at the project. Within 5 mins of looking at the situation, Paul told me exactly how he would do the yard and what would alleviate some issues we were having with improper sloping, grading and drainage. Within a week I had a bid. The new week, a crew arrived on time as we agreed. A semi truck delivered pallets of blocks, tons of drainage rock, drain pipes and heavy equipment. The work was done quickly and professionally. The company was truly a pleasure to work with. Tim was really on top of the project to ensure that the final product turned out exactly how we all envisioned during the walk through. They didn't leave it half-assed.
