When I came I saw that this place is basically a smaller mom-and-pops winery, which offered 4 of their own wines, including other wines that they imported and fermented themselves. So, I just ordered their own wines. You can taste 4 wines from a list. Luckily, all 4 were from their own Colorado home vines. I sat outside at a table looking over their vineyards. I ended up buying a single glass of their white wine. I had a good time and the prices weren't bad. Plus, they had a few cute pups (Tucker the Golden Retriever!) come up to me to keep me company. Give a Colorado winery a chance since their make their own wine from their own grapes! See my attached pictures!

They explained the process of making each cheese and how they get different flavors and sharpness with some of the cheeses. They also paired the cheese with two different wines they provided. We brought our own little charcuterie board to eat with our cheese and wine. Everything was very delicious. The instructor was very nice. The servers were very friendly as well. This is something I would definitely do again. So I hope they do it again because I believe this was a special event.

This new shop on the Pearl St Mall is a second location for a tasting room for Vapor Distillery. It…read moreis friendly and well stocked with their various products. It opened very recently and not just for the holiday season but to be available 7 days a week to walk up customers on the Mall. The distillery is to the east of downtown and needs a car to access. Not ideal for tourist and locals who frequent downtown, mostly on foot, whether you park in the area garages or use a bus to get here. We had wanted to try their product since I first heard of them several year ago and as my husband is a fan of imported single malts, we thought trying theirs would be a good comparison. He has a significant collection of rotating favorites, some of which I like and some I don't. We tasted several versions today, just doing free sips of several. There were other customers there too, but on a chilly day, not too many strolling around looking for things to do. We were greeted as soon as we came in as the single staff member balanced a series of customers. We were offered, but did not try, the various flights they serve in their little more private, seating area. But it looked like a nice option on a warmer more leisurely day. We tried their flagship American single malt, the port cask cured and the peated option. I also tried their bourbon as I like bourbon quite a bit. We did buy a bottle of their New American Single Malt. We plan to go back in better weather and try some of their other offerings. If you look at Vapor Distillery's website you can get a better view of the breadth of their products. The pricing was competitive for an American version of the imports we often buy.

We made a reservation a couple hours before our arrival and it worked out great. Even though it wasn't super busy, we had a table waiting for us on the patio when we arrived. Our server was excellent. I think her name was Lucy. She did a great job explaining the menu and daily specials. She gave some solid recommendations and made sure we had what we needed throughout the meal. Our group started with the Rhode Island Calamari. Very good - no complaints. For entrees, our group ordered the Fish N Chips, Tuscan Chicken, Steak Frites, Mahi Fish Tacos, and the daily special which was a Surf & Turf. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The mashed potatoes which comes with some of the entrees is seriously so good - some of the best restaurant mashed potatoes I've ever had. The fish with the Fish N Chips was excellent. Both parties who got the Tuscan Chicken raved about how good their dish was. The fries were very tasty as well. Honestly everything was good. The only criticism was the Steak which came on the Surf & Turf was a tad over-cooked than requested. For dessert we ordered the Chocolate Cake and the Crème Brûlée. Again, delicious. I would 1000% come back if I lived closer. Yes it's a bit pricier than your typical chain options, but I felt the quality of food and service was worth it.

A bit dry as well. Unfortunately none of the entrees was as hot as they should have been. Burrata was excellent and thanks for having Oysters. The wine selection was very disappointing. Not even a dozen wines. No one enjoyed the Tuscan Sella Antica we ordered. Two wines from Paso Robles which is odd given how small the list is. Service was excellent. (Female, dark hair, short).
