Service was great and knowledgeable. They were amenable to me trying something other than gin since I can't do juniper. We ended up with a bottle of tequila and barrel aged rum. Their tequila was very unique and true to its description, fitting more of a mezcal taste than tequila. The barrel aged rum still sits on our bar for the perfect time to make a smoked old fashioned or have poured over a rock. I'm typically a whiskey and bourbon guy, but I was more fascinated with their tequila and rum. Will be back when I'm in town!

What can you say about a place like Dry Land? It's incredible. The staff is friendly to guests and clearly passionate about the craft. The vibes are on point, taking you back to simpler times. And the cocktails... man, the cocktails are next level. I've seen the Adobo Cactus bring a friend to tears (seriously). I'm not quite done. The non alcoholic shrubs are impressively delicious and the bar nuts have forever raised the standard for me. Swing by during the holidays for a delectable eggnog flight. But if you still have a sweet tooth come summer time, they serve fresh baked cookies year round. As I write this review, I sip the award winning Silver Cactus neat from the comfort of my living room... because, yes, it's that good. And fret not, you can pick up your own bottle there soon enough

Love their weekly rotating specials (this one is a Spring Penicillin)

I love that one of my favorite cocktail bars in Boulder County is right here in Longmont. AND you can take home a bottle of your favorite spirit at the end of the night. The chill ambiance, the super friendly staff, a menu full of tasty options. What's not to love. Besides the great drinks, here's a few other highlights: - Weekly Specials: Seasonally delightful, delicious and experimental. There's always something new to try. Hot buttered rum in the winter, refreshing spins on a classic margarita in the summer. - Live Music and Events: I feel like there's always something fun happening, like jazz or a pop-up restaurant. Check out their email list or socials to see what's happening. - Local Ingredients: Heirloom grains, local botanicals, prickly pear cactus "mezcal." They're doing something special here on the Front Range. This is a distillery for the folks that love local, intentional, artisanal food and drink. And if you're lucky enough to visit when the owner Nels is there, ask him about Dry Land's awesome story and amazing ingredients! So happy these folks exist. We bring all of our out-of-town guests here. What a gem.

Absolutely amazing location! We happened to stop in yesterday, as they were photographing some new cocktails. The service was undeniably awesome. Such attention to detail and I couldn't have been more happy with the cocktails that were provided. We sat out on the patio and just adored everything about the ambiance. Definitely a spot to go hang out and chat with your coworkers or friends. They even have special events. I wish we had discovered this place a while back.

Super fantastic place! Very welcoming and great atmosphere. Perfect for those who drink and do not drink. Great people who work here and just a wonderful vibe!

This is definitely a must visit spot in Longmont if you're into cocktails! I visited with my partner and we tried 2 specialty drinks - a Gin Lemon Drop and a Blood Orange Margarita. Sometimes when visiting distilleries, I find that the drinks are too spirit forward as in each sip tastes like a shot of liquor. I love a good cocktail made with a variety of ingredients where the drink is smooth and enjoyable. I found the cocktails we tried were flavorful, not too sweet and still gave us a good sense of the spirits they distill. The interior features mid-mod furniture and yes, they play real records on their record player! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. They serve a couple small bites and they do offer a gluten-free and vegan options. I tried the rosemary spiced nuts and they were delicious! Prices were extremely reasonable for wonderful service, top shelf spirits, and a very nice atmosphere!

Manhattan for a great price and generous pour. Sign me up!

As you take a step back into the past and chill in their "living room" retro style area, notice that the music is being played on an authentic record player. This is the perfect window into the relaxing Dry Land man den. I'm impressed at the use of intimate space and ability to fit a bar, sitting area and tasting bar. I hope they are able to keep the kitschy blast from the past feeling when it gets busier because it is unlike any other distillery set up I've seen. As of now they offer two spirits, cactus mescal and whisky. My Manhattan was well made and I liked the blend of not too sweet with the cherries, but smoothness of the alcohol, despite its youth. The cactus "marg" was very different but very refreshing! I've never tried any kind of cactus related food/drink and was a great alternative to tequila as I'm not usually a tequila drinker. The BEST drink is the Paloma!!!!! A staple drink and never skip! The cocktails were very decently priced and I can't wait to go back. I will be back to enjoy the exceptional vinyl music, classic drinks, and peaceful "living room" of Dry Land. Everyone give it a whirl! Support local and head over because it's worth it!

Just find a parking spot and look for the sign in the window, and prepare yourself for a delicious tasting of unique gin and whiskey. Our favorite spirit was the ginskey, a new world gin aged in whiskey barrels. If you're not a traditional gin fan, this is a great version to help you sip your toe into the gin pool. The bourbons and scotches were also quite yummy and unique. With an owner from Scotland, it's no wonder they know what they're doing. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we left with a new outlook on what gin can taste like.

I ordered two cocktails, both with gin, both amazing! The first gin I tried was the grapefruit and rose gin; it had a very subtle but unique flavor. I then tried the house gin, which was my favorite. My sister and her husband tried the whisky flight, which they were very impressed with. The bartender Heidi was the highlight of our visit. She went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. She patiently answered all of our many questions, and she even let me sample the Ginskey!

We tried a few of them straight and they are really tasty. He has put together a fab cocktail list as well. We tried three and all were delicious. Impossible to pick a favorite. - Competition- 3 part gin, 1 part fyr, with some orange peel- this is a boozy one! I didn't expect this to taste very good given the combo, but it was excellent. - Beet down- Not sure what all went into this- gin, beet juice, maybe some lemon and tarragon? IDK, but the final product was beautiful and delicious. I wish I could recreate this at home. - Rosemary's baby greyhound- love the clever name and love this drink. Fresh grapefruit, clean vodka, rosemary, and maple syrup to sweeten just a bit. Wow. All the drinks are served on good ice- big cubes or cool spheres. Perfect place for sitting at the patio on a sunny day. Highly recommend!

With a friend in tow we strolled the Skunk Creek path - enjoying the sounds of the creek and the sereneness of the road less traveled. Although the path system is fantastic in town I don't often find myself on it (mostly for fear of pedestrians/strollers/skateboarders while riding my bike on the Boulder Creek path, but that's another story). In no time at all (ok I admit this is Sasha speak for any distance up to or around 1mile - a girl's gotta get those Fitbit steps in somehow!) we found ourselves at J&L. While approaching we could see there was a tour in the works and walked around the side of the building to the tasting room entrance. Ascending the stairs up to the tap room we noted a great outdoor space with several picnic tables outfitted with umbrellas (fantastic for those post hike libations). Inside we were delighted at the open yet cozy feel. We chose a couple of bar stools and took a load off. Nibbling on a bowl of pretzels we contemplated the creative cocktail menu. As my friend and I are both holders of the Boulder Passport http://www.boulderpassport.com) we relished in the fact that we'd be in the establishment for awhile enjoying not one but two libations; after all we had a lot of catching up to do. This was my friend's first experience with J&L and she was tickled that the bartender was happy to provide her with samples of their liquors. In the end she chose a Beet Cocktail while I went for the Palisade Peach Pie - great choices on both counts. While sipping our cocktails we noted that the tour was still in full force and we enjoyed glimpses of the group through a viewing window in the tasting room. Once the tour commenced the group found their way in to the tasting room as did the tour provider who happened to be one of the distillery founders. One of my favorite things about J&L (aside from the FYR liquor) is how approachable and open the staff are. I always find it to be a special experience when business owners take the time to not only interact but engage with their customers. I look forward to returning for a tour as well as sharing this great spot with more friends.
