This evening was the first outing we've had with friends since my partner quit drinking alcohol…read more Our interaction with the server when my partner ordered a soda rather than a beer was incredibly disappointing. The server made it a point to say he personally doesn't drink "pop" and said we'd have to ask his children if we wanted recommendations. A completely unnecessary and unhelpful statement that made everyone, especially my recently sober partner, uncomfortable. People deserve to feel welcomed regardless of what they are ordering, safe to say we will not be returning.

Nice sized taproom with a few TVs to watch the game. Patio space as well. Loved their stout- "The Road", just a little pricey at $10 for an 8 oz pour, but it was fabulous.

My daughter does not have a taste for beer so she sampled the seltzer and settled on the Cherry Popper. I am always for the dark beers so after trying a sample of the brown and the stout, I chose Wired Greasy Grinder milk stout. The seltzer was interesting as it was not back-sweetened like so many are. It was more like a flavored sparkling water, but with alcohol. She really liked it. The milk stout had a wonderful malty, roasty flavor that I love. When my friend arrived, she chose the same as me and we all sat and enjoyed some conversation. This is a nice location tucked away just off I-25. I look forward to visiting again.

Stop #76 on our Hundreds of Hops self-guided US Hop Passport Brewery Tour…read more Arrived around 7pm on a Sunday to this young (opened in 2020 brewery) with about half a dozen patrons inside - greeted promptly. The suds-slinger made their recommendations &, I'd trust this guy with my children, he was so spot on. The Wired Greasy Grinder Milk Stout $7/16oz is phenomenal (awards confirm) - incredibly well-balanced & a come-back-for-more flavor. This one went home with us. Blown Tire - a very solid red/amber - no bitter finish, very smooth and easy to drink.

The building is on the west of the patio and keeps the hot afternoon sunshine from overheating the area. Their patio is wonderful when it's available and the inside space has several different heights of tables with either backed chairs or backless bar stools. I am sober from alcohol so don't have much reason to drop in on my own; there is only one NA on tap and it's always a kombucha. Boring. There are so many killer NA ciders out there these days. It's up to SVC whether to welcome in the sober, the pregnant, the "I have a test tomorrow"... their choice is no, and that's fine, they pay in lost income. For those who do drink, though, there are 30+ on tap (which is why it's so disappointing they offer nothing for the rest of us). I've had their ciders before becoming sober and they have lots of options from pucker dry to knock-you-out sweet and everything in between. Lots of fun collabs with distilleries and wineries lend themselves to unique and funky batches. I love their quirky Japanese snacks and beverages, it really lends a goofy flair that gives the place a lot of charm! There are also some real food options these days as well which is nice to support effectively metabolizing alcohol so customers don't go home drunk. Ciders can sneak up on you!
