We loved the ambiance, feeling like we'd really discovered a gem off the beaten track, pun intended. By joining the club, it was a monthly excuse to plan a special night out to what became one of our favorite places for date night. It's been a couple of years now, but we had occassion to meet the owners, when we mistook their closing time for an hour later. The lights were still on, so we didn't realize our mistake, until they'd already invited us in to exchange our monthly growler with such warmth. Super nice people, reflecting the vibe we always felt on our other visits. The staff echoes that disposition, always friendly and knowledgeable. Though the winery isn't on-site, I've always been impressed with their tasting experience. I've now been a member for over 5 years, going in at least once a month, and they still suggest trying seasonal options and have broadened my palette... Though my ex and I have parted ways for a long while now and he moved away, he's kept our membership current, calling it my "alimony," and a nod to remembering the good times we had together. I recommend Bigsby's for all the good memories for all the folks, be it a lazy summer afternoon on the patio or a cozy evening in the lounge area with a glass of red when it's cold outside!

Unbelievable experience and worth every penny!…read more We were so excited to to experience this after years of seeing scenic train rides online. It was on our must do list for our first time in colorado. We purchased tickets online about a month before our trip. The one con is you may be seated with people outside your party depending on the table. I wish they would put this disclaimer online so we could've purchased an extra seat to have that privacy and comfortability. The views were immaculate especially with the fresh powder. All the staff on board were great and attentive. The food was pretty good too. I opted for the chicken sandwich; which was flavorful and juicy. We really enjoyed the bar cart LOL and the open air cart was perfect for the views and pictures. Cons: we found a hair in our welcome cookie and with the price of admission i wish we had our own table and space. Overall, i would recommend taking the family and loved ones on this experience.

I sat in one of the Vista Dome cars, where the ceiling is glass so you can see everything above you, and it was 100% worth it. I ordered the wine flight, and every wine on it was delicious. I also got the burger with a side salad, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect much since it's "train food," but the burger was really good--juicy, not dry at all, with a perfectly balanced bun that didn't overpower the meat. I genuinely enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly--very kind, attentive, and welcoming, which really added to the experience. There are several different cars you can choose from: a dining car with a bar, the Vista Dome, or regular coach seating. I went with the Vista Dome and would absolutely choose it again. I also tried the cheesecake. It was okay, but not something I'd order again. That said, everything else more than made up for it. One of the highlights was that there are two open-air cars where you can step outside and take in the views. The ride through the mountains was beautiful, the river was stunning, and stopping near the bridge for about 20 minutes was really cool and gave you time to soak it all in. Overall, this was an amazing experience, and I will absolutely do this again. Highly recommend if you're in the area. I will also say with this train.Make sure you sit on the left side of the train. Not the right cause the left side has all the good views. The right has o k views

He wasn't wrong! His whole team was professional and so much fun to be around. The limo picked us up & Angelique (our hostess) educated us about cannabis and terpenes & food pairing with it. Our first stop was at High Country Healing, where Joe (budtender) overwhelmed us with buds, jars & smells! He made us feel so relaxed We stopped at the eatery to meet with our chef and have an appetizer. He was absolutely amazing and food was scrumptious! Next we went to our private wine tasting & pairing with Susanne (Frisco Wine Merchant). Another great fun educated lesson, she was a hoot! Then we went back to the eatery for our delicious entree & dessert. Also, we had the best Fall scenic route. We LOVED everything about it! We would love to do it again!

They offer free tours, which involves watching a short clip about the history of Hammond and then watching the employees work through a looking glass. It was neat learning about this candy business; I've never heard about it. I love learning origin stories because it gives me an idea of the company's values. I think it's amazing that they HAND MAKE all their candies. They have cute paper hats that you can wear. In addition, there are some areas for good photo opportunities. After the tour, you are gifted with a candy cane! You are then led into their candy store. You obviously don't have to purchase anything, but to complete the experience, it doesn't hurt to walk away with some chocolate. (: I'm not from Colorado, so I'm not sure if the prices were cheaper or more expensive than the grocery store (I'm going to assume more expensive). Regardless, we did buy some things. I got a Hammond chocolate bar, some discounted chocolate from their clearance section, and their popular Mitchell Sweets. The Mitchell sweet is $2 for a small packet! My husband liked it, but I thought it was extremely sweet and I only took the tiniest bite. I feel like that little packet can go a long way because of the sweetness. They charge $0.10 for a bag. I didn't want to pay for a bag, so I just used my paper hat as a tray. lol Overall, I did enjoy the visit. I like that it was free and candy cane gift at the end was the sweet cherry on top of the tour.

What they work on varies throughout the year so it may not look the same if you come multiple times. The best part is getting a full-size piece of candy at the end - we got candy canes (maybe that's what it always is?). You end the your at the candy store which is nice but mostly overpriced. If you only want the candy you can go to a Lolli Pops store - they were acquired by Hammond's and now sell the same goodies at their stores. In short, kind of fun to do but wouldn't go out of my way to do this. Best if paired with something else nearby which is what we did, a playground not too far away (there isn't much very close to the factory).

The day started at union station and for awhile did not know if the guide was going to show up…read more When time came, two guides popped out, split people into two group and led us to the van. PRO TIP: try avoiding the most back row if you have long legs or any stress with mobility. Because once you sit there, the seat is assigned and you will have to deal with being cramped in a tighter space. And you basically are always the last one to get off. This was one of the biggest cons. Moving on, the tour itself was great. We stopped by a cafe on the way to and back, for food and bathroom breaks, and pretty soon, the van took us to the Rocky Mountain with beautiful views and even saw many wildlife - the big horn sheep, elk, deer (i think), and, not to forget, smaller animals like birds, mouse, and chipmunks, but no moose spotted. Nonetheless, the breathtaking view of the Rockies is certainly worth the journey. The guide was very knowledgeable about trees and shared many stories about the places and tips for visiting Denver in general! She also took us to a few Native American owed stores that featured indigenous art that were very cool to see. One thing to note is that I think the Colorado Sightseer, the tour company, had listed at least two slightly different itineraries, and I might have been sent to the one I did not pick. I noticed because I intentionally picked the tour with visits to two visitor centers, vs the one I went on only took us to Beaver Meadows. Not a big deal bc I did get still get my stamp, and the tour used most of the day's time efficiently by visiting many attractions. But this might be something you want to make sure if the stops matter a lot to you. Nonetheless, with a group tour, it is understandable and expected for the itinerary to potentially change. For instance, the day I went, the tour guide actually too us to visit places in different order to avoid crowds. Another thing to really appreciate is that the tour provided some snacks, extra gloves/beanies, which were really a lifesaver in the cold mountains. I know I was not fully prepared for it and so glad I could borrower some!
