Whiskey flight tasting with score card.

My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. I booked their Whiskey History Outlaws tour with Will. It was the best way to spend our afternoon. We appreciate all of the little details and careful thought that went into this tour. We try to support small businesses everywhere we go. Will has serious knowledge, amazing recommendations, the best stories, and by the time we were done we felt like friends. That's a trait that's truly special. We loved every minute and the gratitude we have for what you do is immense. Thank you PS If you're on the fence about getting the drinks at the end, do it, we did, it was amazing!

Yeehaw! We had a good old time being shown around Denver as it was in the old west. Our guide, Whiskey Dick, has a ridiculous amount of knowledge of all things Denver, Old West and Bourbons and whiskies. We got the drink package which included a special whiskey tasting glass and a flight to try it out on. 10/10 would do it again! He had some great recommendations for us, and we are going to try Petticoats Pistols and Pubs next!

Used this group for a bachelorette party for a bunch of out of towners and we had an absolute blast. Rachel was the sweetest she even made a video of our outing. She was engaging, knowledgeable, personable, and made us all feel like a best friend was taking us around the city. Great food spots and loved the history. Highly recommended!

My husband and I took the Whiskey, History, and Outlaws tour, and had a really fantastic time. Our tour guide Will was super knowledgeable and very entertaining. The tour was interactive, too - we did a few group activities along the way, so it wasn't just Will talking to us the whole time. As out of towners, the tour gave us a fun introduction to Denver. Will also offered great food and drink recommendations for the rest of our trip.

Our tour guide Carla was amazing! My sister and I enjoyed hearing the great history, stories, and up-in-coming businesses from someone who clearly loves Denver. We received fantastic recommendations for food, drinks, and hiking as well. If you're visiting Denver, you must take this tour!!

Also, with the 114th anniversary of the Titanic approaching, I figured I should learn more about the disaster's one of the most prominent survivors. My tour guide (Eli) was very informative and they talked about a lot of the inticracies of the house that I wouldn't have noticed if I had wandered around the house by myself, including details about the staircase and the method of constructing it, the wallpaper, stained glass, etc. I was particularly fascinated by how Margaret Brown leveraged her high profile status as a Titanic wreck survivor to fight for various causes such as women's suffrage, who she really was behind the legend of "Molly Brown," and the history of the house after its sale (how it became a group home for girls, and their antics of painting the lions up front and throwing things at the people passing by on the sidewalk). Definitely grateful for Eli's expertise -- shows they're really passionate about passing down the local history to the community and beyond. I left with more knowledge than I expected to learn. Thank you Eli! It was also great that the house itself contained a good number of original pieces of the house from back in the 1910s, which isn't always the case with historical houses. There was also a little back room that had original pieces from the White Star Line so people could see the plates and other things that passengers on the Titanic would have used, as well as a super detailed model of the ship itself. Will definitely be recommending this tour for anyone who plans to go to Denver.

It is said that they unveil a brand new theme each year and this year's theme appears to be focused on some Eastern cultures such as cherry blossom and bamboo forest with pandas. Not that I have been to many lights shows and yet I must say that I have never seen anything quite like this as far as my recollection is accurate. In its 12-acre land, the installations of lantern lights are everywhere. After 8:30pm or so when it's dark, the illuminations from the lanterns are glowing brighter than Las Vegas' illuminations (LOL - why am I comparing this to Las Vegas!!) According to the park's website, some of the sculptures are 23-foot tall (such as the cherry blossom gate.) It's currently open from Wednesday through Sunday until October 5th. And last night's was one of the adult-only nights where you must be 21+ to enter (I believe the next and last such night is Sept 17th. And this writing is as of late August of 2025.) I am already curious as to what the next year's theme is going to be. There is a centralized bar, some food vendors, a stage where a performer performs, and a DJ booth. Great for family time, girls' night or date night. Helpful staff were working tirelessly to assist all visitors. Although about 1,300 tickets were sold last night, it was never super jammed packed. There is still time to visit this enchanting light show. Not only for the locals but definitely one of the must-visit attractions for out-of-staters as well.

This event is for young and old and I highly recommend going!

It is located in the ritzy Capitol Hill part of town. This stately home is on the National Register of Historic Homes, as it is a well-preserved architectural example of American Foursquare. Locally, this type of house is called a "Denver Square," which simply means that the design has four square rooms on the first and second floors. According to Wikipedia "Mamie Eisenhower lived in this house from 1906 until 1916. The Eisenhowers were married in the first floor music room on July 1, 1916. Their son, John Eisenhower was born in Denver on August 3, 1922, while Mamie was living in the house." After Mamie Eisenhower's mother died in 1960, she sold the home to a real estate investor. Since then, the house has gone through several owners. It is still privately owned and not available for tours. But Denver city tour operators do stop along the street in front of the house and talk about it's history. The Mamie Doud House is something the city Of Denver is proud of, as the Doud family were prosperous and their daughter Mamie certainly married well. Mamie Doud is so beloved that a park in southeast Denver was named after her as well as a public library in Broomfield, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. As a Historic Home on the National Registry, the Mamie Doud House is a great example of America's late 19th and early 20th century architectural heritage. 4 YELP STARS.

You take the elevator up to check in, but the rest of the floors have stairs, so you need to be able to navigate stairs that are sometimes steep and narrow, You can step outside on some of the floors and there are great views of Denver. Downstairs, there are informational displays with interesting facts about the clock, and it was cool learning that this building is Denver's first skyscraper. The self-guided setup made it easy to explore at your own pace without feeling rushed. What You Can See: The Clocktower has about three floors you can explore, plus an event space that can be rented for special occasions. It was really neat getting to go inside and see the clock up close. One of the highlights was the outdoor viewing area. You can step outside and see Denver all around you nearby buildings and even the mountain tops in the distance. The views were beautiful. I am scared of heights, so I'll admit the stairs made me a little nervous going up and down. That said, everything felt very safe. Outside, there are high railings all the way around, which helped a lot and made the experience feel secure. Time Commitment: This is a quick activity, but still enjoyable. I took my time looking at everything and it took me about 15-20 minutestotal. Pricing Tickets were $12 total (tax included), which felt very reasonable for a unique downtown experience and a chance to see the city from a different perspective. Parking: I went on a Sunday, so I didn't have to pay for street parking. I highly recommend going on a Sunday if possible. That said, downtown can be busy, so it did take a bit to find a spot. Arriving early definitely helps. Overall Experience: Ireally enjoyed the Clocktower Tour. While it's more of a one-time experience, it's perfect for a cold day, a short outing downtown, or if you're just looking for something different to do without committing a lot of time. It was fun, affordable, and a neat way to experience a piece of Denver's history.
