She kept us laughing, engaged and genuinely excited to learn about Denver's history and hidden gems. Rob our driver was just as awesome and shared some great local insights along the way. One of the biggest highlights was visiting Red Rocks. Pictures do not do it justice. It is absolutely breathtaking in person. Every stop on the tour was interesting, well timed and packed with cool facts and photo opportunities. And let's talk about the ice cream at Little Man. Life changing. I am still thinking about it. This tour felt like exploring the city with two super fun locals who love what they do. Whether you are new to Denver or think you know the city you will walk away with a big smile and probably a new favorite ice cream spot too.

We learned so much about Denver's history, how the city has evolved over the years, and the stories behind many of its historic buildings and landmarks. The tour also helped us discover several places we wanted to return to and explore in more depth. The meeting location was easy to find, and we were each given an audio headset so we could hear our guide clearly throughout the tour--a thoughtful touch that made the experience even better. If you're looking for a great introduction to Denver, I highly recommend this tour.

I really enjoyed learning about the area's history and recent revitalization. I love it when cities can repurpose old buildings rather than tear them down. The tour started and ended at the train station which is an impressive building and is nicely air conditioned which helped us cool down at the end of the tour. The earbuds made it easy to hear throughout the tour even when there was traffic noise. Definitely bring plenty of water if it's hot out; there is shade which helps, but it is a walking tour so be prepared to be outside for the majority of the time. I was very happy I was wearing my sun hat. This was a fun activity and it was great to learn about the area of Denver where we were staying.

I brought my whole family and it was enjoyable for all ages from 12 to 77- There is a bit of walking and standing but some chances to sit down. Totally more interesting than walking around the area without information. The fun part (all of it is fun) was going inside Union Station and hearing the history that has been glossed over by historians trying to attract visitors to Denver. As the tour progresses, it gets better and better. By the time we exited Union Station, it was dark and the area was lit up with people enjoying the beautiful evening- you see pedicabs and bicycles, lit buildings and a fountain with lights in addition to the story weaver guide. This is the authentic tour to take.

I get ghost tours are a lot of woowoo and stories, but I genuinely could not believe a word of history this man said because it was so shrouded in his personal opinion. He also would not stop bragging about how versed in research he was. Tour was supposed be two hours but he could not stop talking about stuff we didn't ask that had nothing to do with the tour we missed our reservation. Not to mention, had many indigenous peoples in our group and he kept talking over them telling them about their own culture and that they're wrong. Man was so full of himself I had a genuine bad time.

His depth of knowledge is almost unbelievable--in the best way. He understands the artwork, the artists, Denver's history, the surrounding neighborhoods, and the cultural significance of graffiti and street art. He does not simply point out interesting pieces; he helps you understand the stories, people, and communities behind them. I learned so much and took more than 100 pictures along the way. Meeting Graham, a local artist, was an unexpected and amazing highlight that made the tour feel even more special. What stayed with me most was how the tour revealed Denver as a city filled with creativity, history, culture, and wonderful people. Randy was welcoming, thoughtful, engaging, and incredibly generous with his time and knowledge. Whether you already love graffiti and street art or are simply curious about Denver, take this tour. You will leave seeing the city--and the art around you--with new eyes.

In order to cover as much ground as possible, I scheduled the RiNo North tour (covers north side) and the happy hour tour (supposedly covers much of what the classic tour covers). Randy was my guide, and was a laid back, knowledgeable guy. I fancy myself a bit of a street art connoisseur and think I could have done a lot of this on my own if I had done some planning, but Randy did offer a lot of info I didn't know about the art community in Denver and various street art terms I wasn't familiar with. We made a brief stop during the North tour for bathroom and drink breaks. For the happy hour tour, you're supposed to stop at a brewery, but I was the only one on the tour, so Randy and I opted to keep checking out art instead of stopping. Once I started posting on instagram, I consulted the pages they provide so you can credit the artists. Looking through those pages for all three tours, I really think the original gives you the most bang for your buck. If I could do it over, I would have just scheduled that one, then spread out on my own. Tours are around 32 bucks each. You can only book them if at least two people have booked, which is the minimum. I got the solo happy hour tour because I booked two tickets (I'm an anxious planner and was willing to pay extra to have it locked in on my schedule). Each tour covers about two miles and lasts around two hours. Worthwhile tour where you'll see some great street art, learn about the Denver art community, and get to know more about the town itself.

Macs Adventure are specialists in self guided walking, cycling holidays and active holidays around…read morethe world. They have offices are based in Glasgow UK, and Denver CO USA, and with a network of partners from hoteliers to luggage teams around the globe. My Brother's previous positive experience on the West Highland Way (Scotland) got Gayle and I interested in our own lodge-to-lodge walking tour. We chose "Cotswolds in Comfort" which was 6 days and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. And everything was so interesting and gorgeous. Yes, it rained on the first day and we walked through a lot of mud. Macs Adventure can't control that, but the other stuff that they could manage, went off almost flawlessly. That included excellent accommodations, efficient luggage transfer, pre-trip information, and a walking app that kept us on our paths and never lost. Actually, we did wander off once to avoid mud, and the app did show us where we could get back on path. We're now talking about where our next Macs Adventure walking tour might be. France? Germany? New Zealand? Switzerland? Stay tuned!

Of the roughly 20 other Macs people I met (randomly of course, because there is no in person or virtual orientation as one would expect for the price), only 4 finished. Why? Because it wasn't a "Highlights" tour, it was a concentrated tour. Instead of 12 days to do the TMB, you had 6, so each day was twice as far as the already grueling hiking schedule. None of the group of 4 of us that went together understood this from the app, which was incredibly misleading. All of us believed there were 'highlight' days where we would go 3-7 miles with transport provided for the rest. Oh no. It was actually two hikes in a single day. When we eventually reached our breaking point due to a trail injury, we reached out to Mac's for help through their offered "Alternative Transport" helpline. It took them 24 hours to respond. We had long figured out an expensive way out on our own, but what if we hadn't been able to? They would have left us stranded. Worse, when we finally received that response, it was clearly AI generated and full of false information, no help whatsoever. I would estimate that 10% or less of our fee was actually spent on accommodations. What was the rest used for? Hard to know, I guess lining their pockets because even in towns like Chamonix that are chock full of charming hotel options, they put us in a dirty, poorly appointed place that had black mold growing on the walls that goes for $65 a night next to a construction site. Finish the TMB exhausted and celebrate in a dirty run down hotel for $6,000? Criminal. Transportation was a joke. They do not offer any included transport. It's up to you to figure it out each day and pay out of pocket, adding hundreds of dollars to the overall cost. We also didn't get halfboard in many of the hotels we were booked at, despite them offering it, so more cost. They have no one on the ground and I suspect they have never actually been on the TMB. There is no guidance, no tour expertise, almost nothing offered for your fee apart from booking cheap hotels and pocketing your money. Please, save yourself and find another way to see the sights.
