Wow, my yesterday's visit to this historic park was so mesmerizing. It's because of their annual…read more(?) "Bright Nights" (originally a lantern festival.) It is said that they unveil a brand new theme each year and this year's theme appears to be focused on some Eastern cultures such as cherry blossom and bamboo forest with pandas. Not that I have been to many lights shows and yet I must say that I have never seen anything quite like this as far as my recollection is accurate. In its 12-acre land, the installations of lantern lights are everywhere. After 8:30pm or so when it's dark, the illuminations from the lanterns are glowing brighter than Las Vegas' illuminations (LOL - why am I comparing this to Las Vegas!!) According to the park's website, some of the sculptures are 23-foot tall (such as the cherry blossom gate.) It's currently open from Wednesday through Sunday until October 5th. And last night's was one of the adult-only nights where you must be 21+ to enter (I believe the next and last such night is Sept 17th. And this writing is as of late August of 2025.) I am already curious as to what the next year's theme is going to be. There is a centralized bar, some food vendors, a stage where a performer performs, and a DJ booth. Great for family time, girls' night or date night. Helpful staff were working tirelessly to assist all visitors. Although about 1,300 tickets were sold last night, it was never super jammed packed. There is still time to visit this enchanting light show. Not only for the locals but definitely one of the must-visit attractions for out-of-staters as well.

Every inch of the 12 acres had lights and even in the trees and bushes. So many details that it seemed realistic. Many of the lanterns were interactive such as stationary bikes or cranks to power the lights to glow even brighter. The staff were friendly and happy to help. This event is for young and old and I highly recommend going!

Went on a guided tour of the Molly Brown House on 4/8/2026. I was in Denver for work and I always…read moreenjoy learning about local history where I travel. Also, with the 114th anniversary of the Titanic approaching, I figured I should learn more about the disaster's one of the most prominent survivors. My tour guide (Eli) was very informative and they talked about a lot of the inticracies of the house that I wouldn't have noticed if I had wandered around the house by myself, including details about the staircase and the method of constructing it, the wallpaper, stained glass, etc. I was particularly fascinated by how Margaret Brown leveraged her high profile status as a Titanic wreck survivor to fight for various causes such as women's suffrage, who she really was behind the legend of "Molly Brown," and the history of the house after its sale (how it became a group home for girls, and their antics of painting the lions up front and throwing things at the people passing by on the sidewalk). Definitely grateful for Eli's expertise -- shows they're really passionate about passing down the local history to the community and beyond. I left with more knowledge than I expected to learn. Thank you Eli! It was also great that the house itself contained a good number of original pieces of the house from back in the 1910s, which isn't always the case with historical houses. There was also a little back room that had original pieces from the White Star Line so people could see the plates and other things that passengers on the Titanic would have used, as well as a super detailed model of the ship itself. Will definitely be recommending this tour for anyone who plans to go to Denver.

Make time to walk across both bridges, through the Park, and into the Highlands for an ice cream at Little Man Ice Cream. Tour the new neighboring15th Street Business District, have coffee and take in an amazing assortment of architecture, stonework, brickwork, metalwork, mosaic tiles, and fluid glass. Don't miss all the sculptures hidden here and there. The riverview of Sports Authority field and Elitches is incredible. ENJOY!

I brought my whole family and it was enjoyable for all ages from 12 to 77- There is a bit of walking and standing but some chances to sit down. Totally more interesting than walking around the area without information. The fun part (all of it is fun) was going inside Union Station and hearing the history that has been glossed over by historians trying to attract visitors to Denver. As the tour progresses, it gets better and better. By the time we exited Union Station, it was dark and the area was lit up with people enjoying the beautiful evening- you see pedicabs and bicycles, lit buildings and a fountain with lights in addition to the story weaver guide. This is the authentic tour to take.

No explanation of what the purpose of the speaker was so we just synced it with our iphone and played music (which the car behind us did the same so it was dueling music). Maybe that was the purpose??? I think the concept of Colorado Railbike Adventures has so much potential and they could do so much more to make the experience unforgettable but unfortunately, there's was nothing that made me want to come back or spread the word to try this experience. I was supposed to go with a friend who had a family emergency and they were very nice to refund her ticket. You take the elevator up to check in, but the rest of the floors have stairs, so you need to be able to navigate stairs that are sometimes steep and narrow, You can step outside on some of the floors and there are great views of Denver. You can also read about the history and it's cool to see the clock from behind. I went through it relatively quickly, but you can take as much little time as you want.

Downstairs, there are informational displays with interesting facts about the clock, and it was cool learning that this building is Denver's first skyscraper. The self-guided setup made it easy to explore at your own pace without feeling rushed. What You Can See: The Clocktower has about three floors you can explore, plus an event space that can be rented for special occasions. It was really neat getting to go inside and see the clock up close. One of the highlights was the outdoor viewing area. You can step outside and see Denver all around you nearby buildings and even the mountain tops in the distance. The views were beautiful. I am scared of heights, so I'll admit the stairs made me a little nervous going up and down. That said, everything felt very safe. Outside, there are high railings all the way around, which helped a lot and made the experience feel secure. Time Commitment: This is a quick activity, but still enjoyable. I took my time looking at everything and it took me about 15-20 minutestotal. Pricing Tickets were $12 total (tax included), which felt very reasonable for a unique downtown experience and a chance to see the city from a different perspective. Parking: I went on a Sunday, so I didn't have to pay for street parking. I highly recommend going on a Sunday if possible. That said, downtown can be busy, so it did take a bit to find a spot. Arriving early definitely helps. Overall Experience: Ireally enjoyed the Clocktower Tour. While it's more of a one-time experience, it's perfect for a cold day, a short outing downtown, or if you're just looking for something different to do without committing a lot of time. It was fun, affordable, and a neat way to experience a piece of Denver's history.

I really enjoyed learning about the area's history and recent revitalization. I love it when cities can repurpose old buildings rather than tear them down. The tour started and ended at the train station which is an impressive building and is nicely air conditioned which helped us cool down at the end of the tour. The earbuds made it easy to hear throughout the tour even when there was traffic noise. Definitely bring plenty of water if it's hot out; there is shade which helps, but it is a walking tour so be prepared to be outside for the majority of the time. I was very happy I was wearing my sun hat. This was a fun activity and it was great to learn about the area of Denver where we were staying.
