When in Golden Colorado, I did research and found that the coors brewing facility was located there. We booked tickets in advance to attend the tour which it was approximately $24. This included three, 8 ounce beer sample pours. When we arrived at the facility, we parked and then had to take a shuttle to the main entrance of the tour. They have a strict bag policy, and they are also very strict on a tour. They allow filming and photos, but they are strict with alcohol consumption there to the point that you cannot even share your samples with others in your tour group. What's nice is they run the tour every 10 minutes so your group is small and intimate of approximately 15 people total in each group. The tour lasts for about an hour, and they take you through several floors in the building, show you the history of coors, and some of the interesting facts about the company. I never realized that blue moon was a coors product that was founded in the 90s at the coors baseball field in Denver but I learned that during the tour! Just seeing the processing and the amount of engineering for the entire process for mass consumption is fascinating. They have so much being produced every single day to where they said that over 250 semi trucks leave the facility every single day with product. I was a little disappointed in the sampling. I thought we would get to sample a little bit more beer. I didn't realize it was just going to be three samples, but the tour itself was very interesting. The facility is old. It's been around for over or at least close to 100 years so a lot of the style designs are not modern but that's not a bad thing. It's just something to keep in mind. I wouldn't go on the tour again, but it was great to see at least once. I don't have a tour I can compare it to, but I would love to see a different brewery tour in the future to see how this one holds up. We booked the Coors Tour for my brother's 40th birthday weekend, and there were about seven of us in our group. Overall, it was a really cool and educational experience -- definitely something fun to do if you're in the area. The tour lasted about an hour, and we got to learn all about the beer-making process, including germination and the different production stages. It was interesting seeing everything behind the scenes and understanding how it all comes together. Just a heads up -- there are quite a few stairs and elevators involved, so be prepared for a little walking. As part of the tour, we each got three complimentary beers. There were around six different options to choose from, but you could only pick three full pours (with small tastes of others if you wanted). They had classics like Coors Banquet, Coors Light, Busch, and Keystone, plus a few others. It was nice having options so everyone in our group could find something they liked. Our tour guide (they called him "Doctor" something) was okay -- he definitely knew his stuff, but his delivery was a little dry. We were there celebrating and trying to have a fun, upbeat time, and he didn't quite match that energy. I probably wouldn't request him again, but the information itself was solid. At the end of the tour, there's a lounge area where you can enjoy your last beer, which was a nice way to wrap things up. The gift shop was also impressive -- tons of cool merch! My husband loves Coors Banquet, so I grabbed him a corduroy hoodie, a mug, magnets, and stickers. They also had beanies, t-shirts, and even stuff for dogs -- seriously, something for everyone. The tour for this place sells out super fast so I recommend booking and checking for spots much time in advance. It was too late for me to purchase tour tickets so we opted for the sample only tickets which were priced at about $10 each. On the day of, we rented a locker and left our bags there as they are not allowed into the facility. The check in employees were friendly and we were then put onto a shuttle within a few minutes after checking in. Once at the facility, we checked in again and we were then showed where to go for our samples. We made it to the bar area and the bartenders were super friendly. We each were allowed three samples each. I went with a Blue Moon, Coors Banquet, and a cold Coors Light. All three of the samples I picked were yummy and they were not stingy on their pours. We drank and mingled for about an hour and we stopped by the gift shop. The gift shop had a lot of unique shirts and souvenirs for reasonable prices. The cashiers were friendly. Coors Brewery Tour in Golden is such a cool experience and definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. It has the perfect mix of history, education and of course really great beer. We loved seeing all of the different brands they brew and the huge copper kettles were seriously impressive in person. The tour walks you through each part of the brewing process so you actually learn what goes into making the beer taste so crisp and fresh. They even share fun facts along the way like why they use amber glass to protect flavor. Each section is themed and well designed so you never feel bored or rushed. The best part is finishing the tour with fresh beer in the tasting room. We enjoyed a cold Coors Light Banquet to celebrate being in Golden where it all began. The staff was friendly and everything was organized so the line kept moving even when it was busy. If you are visiting Golden, add this to your list. Have lived in Denver for 3 years, finally was able to get a ticket to the brewery tour while my parents were in town visiting. When you arrive you park in a dedicated lot and get shuttled to the brewery, had a short wait as shuttles run every 5 or so minutes. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable even when some of the tour attendees asked out of the box questions. They will give you three beers along the tour which is nice considering the ticket cost. How fun was this! We traveled to Golden, CO in our RV and I'm so glad we did. We booked a tour prior to our arrival and we were able to park in the free parking area on 10th Street with our RV. It was a safe space for it and we had no issues with parking. Danielle was our tour guide and she was marvelous! She spoke slow, loud, and was clear on her speech without the umms, or nerves which I appreciate, because it is hard to follow with the distractions. The factory is huge, it's a massive facility so it's kind of cool to just drive by and check it out. If you do want to go in, you will get to see just a fraction of the facility. They offer different ways to experience the brewery. 1. Tour ($$) - book ahead usually sold out day off 2. Lounge ($) - small lounge fits about 75 people. bunch of tables both for sitting or standing. 3. Gift Shop (free) - buy Coors merch. No matter what you'd like to do you park in their parking lot and take a shuttle to the same entrance. If you like Coors the merch can be cool. The lounge isn't really that interesting. You pay like $10 for 3 cups of Coors (they have 5 options to pick from + 2 NA options). The lounge is rather boring and it may not be worth the time to go UNLESS you really like Coors and/or want to check out the gift shop. ...An iconic thing to do in Golden, CO! Go to the Coors Brewery! This was never on my list of things to see because I'm not fond of Beer. However, I do have a fascination with things of the past as well as their history. I decided to pass on the Coors Brewery Tour primarily because there were no spots available online on the day I wanted to go. I went with the Hospitality Lounge ticket, which includes 3 Samples, even though beer is not my thing. I had read that there is like a "mini-tour" on your way to the Hospitality Lounge aka tasting room. There's a lot of information on the Coors Brewery Tour website which will come in very handy for your visit here! First off, yes, you need an advanced reservation to join the tour or to go to the Hospitality Lounge. There is a virtual tour consisting of four short videos at the Coors website. They are closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, some holidays, company events, and brewery maintenance or construction. Reservations are available 25 days in advance. This review is my experience for only the Hospitality Lounge. I pre-purchased my ticket online ($10 Ticket + $0.45 Sales Tax + $1.04 Service Fee = $11.49). I picked a time slot to arrive prior to finalizing the ticket purchase. I immediately received a confirmation email with important instructions and information for my visit. I arrived to the area early, but wasn't sure if their parking lot was free, so I trying to find nearby parking. After wasting time, I decided to pull into the lot that was in the email. Just so you know, it is free to park there with your reserved tour/lounge visit! The Visitor's Parking Lot address is: 502 14th St. Golden, CO 80401 This is where you leave your belongings in your car and get in line to take the free shuttle to the brewery. There are staff present to help you with any assistance you may need. The shuttle driver was very entertaining and informative as we made the short trip over. TIP: Travel lightly. You can take a wallet, camera, and phone into the brewery. No purses, backpacks, bags, or strollers, etc. are allowed. Once we arrived to the facility, we were greeted and shown where to go depending on our tickets. I was taken to an elevator with some other guests and walked to the Hospitality Lounge. On the way, there are large displays of memorabilia and some history about Coors. It was cool seeing things like plates, Salt & Pepper Shakers, various beer bottles & cans through the years, You'll also pass by the company store. I usually don't visit the restroom, but I did here. It was nice and clean. I appreciated that they even included a hand lotion dispenser! Colorado was drying out my hands and this was such a relief for them! The lounge visit was alright. I ended up trying the Coors Banquet, Coors Light Super Cold Draft, Colorado Native Amber, and the Colorado Native Palisade Peach Tart Beer. To help the beer go down, I got some cups of sodas. I can't recall that any of the beers were to my liking, but I'd say the Peach Tart was probably the best. I didn't finish any of my beers. I got two true sample size beer (has the Coors logo) and two tasters (unmarked smaller cups). You are not allowed to share your beer, they want you to "Be Greedy" and drink only your samples. Besides knowing I wasn't there for the beer or the actual brewery tour, I was happy to have seen the Welcome Center, Lounge, and Gift Shop. I still might be up for taking the factory tour some day. I love beer, so visiting the Coors Brewery in Boulder seemed like a great idea. The tours fill up almost a month in advance, be sure to plan ahead and book your tickets if you're eager to see the facility. Most tours are completely full, and they rarely accommodate same-day walk ups. Even though we didn't get on a tour, we still visited the main facility and joined a beer sampling near the gift shop. The beers we tried were fine, but not particularly noteworthy. The visit itself felt pretty...industrial. There's nothing particularly charming or unique about the physical space, it's very drab and utilitarian. Like visiting a factory plant that makes widgets, rather than a cultural institution. Aside from the novelty of getting to say I've visited Coors, there wasn't much that stood out about this visit. I probably wouldn't go out of my way, even as someone who loves visiting breweries whenever I travel. It's a pretty forgettable experience overall. read more

They also give beer tours which we did not do. We came later in the afternoon and only had time for the tasting room and the gift shop. We were happy to have had this experience. The tour exceeded my expectations! Some of the reviews I saw said that the sign in and transfer process was disorganized, but they must have saw that and fixed it because it was a perfectly well oiled machine. They have tours going every 10 minutes. You meet in the parking lot next to the factory, check in and then they have you stand in certain colored rectangles depending on your tour time. They do not allow bags, but they have lockers right there for $3 a piece (cc only). They then take you on a bus to the factory (only a couple minute ride). The information learned on the factory was really cool. Our tour guide Diane was super energetic and fun and full of knowledge. They do give you 3 full cups of beer throughout the tour. While I am not a huge beer drinker I was glad to find a couple drinks here that J thoroughly enjoyed while making a quick visit! The tour was sold out but they have an option to visit the tasting room and get 3 drinks of your choice for a decent price so my husband and I did that. You take a van over to the brewery (which is a couple miles in radius!) and learn a few cool facts about Coors and the history behind the brewery while you're on your way. Check in was easy and once I received my bracelet for thr tasting, we went on our way. The staff behind the bar was very knowledgeable and even gave some recommendations based on what I said I said I liked. My first drink was a cider that was locally produced by a sister company. It had a nice sour flavor without being overpowering. The second beer I tried was an IPA and was shocked to actually enjoy it because it wasn't too hoppy. My last and favorite beer was the beer they serve just at freezing point from a really cool tap! It was literally ice cold and so easy and refreshing to drink. After the beers, I decided to stop at the giftshop and spent more than enough money. There was something for everyone and I found a really cool magnet that was also a bottle opener (made of wood). I also found a fun shotglass that was designed like a stein. I hope next time I'm here I get to try the tour to find out more history behind Coors. I did see people bring in small wallet sized bags, and those were allowed. Food isn't served, so just eat something beforehand. They do serve water and soft drinks for those who don't drink alcohol. They do give you 3 beers to sample that are made by the coors brand. The first one is either a banquet or coors light beer. The second and third are whatever they have on draft. I'm honestly shocked that tours fill up so quickly - i know it's likely because of the prestige of the Coors name. I was so excited to snag a tour on a random Thursday afternoon and so so disappointed. I arrived early and parking is plenty. They shuttle you to the tour once your tour time is up. Overall, the tour is pretty stock and lame. You don't actually get to see much of the production floor, you mostly see visuals and pictures that they put together. For instance, you see barley and hops that they put into bins in a visual - but that's not what we paid for. We paid to see the coors beer being produced in action! Or at least i thought so. My tour guide was also terrible, he couldn't answer any of our questions and he led his tour like he memorized a book. I'm sure they churn out so many guides it's hard to stay consistent. You get 3 sample beers which is nice and obviously the highlight but not enough to redeem how lame and boring the tour itself was. I wont recommend to friends and I wont return. read more

This was fun. We had a friend contact us last minute with some tickets. It had literally been over a decade since we had last gone on the tour. It always seems when you live close to something, you don't think to go there. Our tour guide, Jesse, was enthusiastic and informative. I appreciated the fact that when presented with a question, if he did not know the answer, he went and found out the answer. He said he is constantly learning more. It would have been neat to see the canning line in motion, but it was down at the time we came through. Seeing the mass production equipment and process was fascinating though. At the end we were able to have three tastes in their tasting room. Since Colorado Native is only brewed in and for Colorado, I needed to try those varieties. I had the IPA, Pilsner and the Amber. What can I say about being here in Golden Colorado.... You need to do the brewery tour. Their is a tour fee of $20 for adults. With all the extra fees and tax, it comes out to be about $45 for two of us. The confirmation email has your directions getting to guest parking and check in for shuttle service to the brewery.
