Like many others I decided to come to Abbey Nails to treat myself. I absolutely love this place!! Ive been to several others and have never had a completely positive experience. The owner did my nail ( I unfortunately did not catch her name). She was extremely nice as was the other woman Kim. I decided to get a full set of gel with the gel polish. Other places have charged me over $70 for this but at Abbeys they only charge $50. She did an amazing job, she took her time and chatted with myself and a regular that popped in to get a quick fix up! She even told me that if within the next two weeks if something chips, cracks or something gets messed up to come on back in and she'll fix it for me for no extra charge. Couldn't be happier! Oh! Extra note: They do take credit cards but there is no way to add on a tip so make sure you bring cash for the tip! read more

Ni is the best! She's been doing my nails for almost a year, I went elsewhere in desperate times while out of town and was desperate to come home so I can see Ni again! She is always GOOD to me and GREAT to my hands and feet, lol! No but seriously she goes above and beyond expectations always honest and hard working! I came in a bit later in the day and she stayed past closing as she has many other times working on my nails and pedi. She is often the last one at the nail salon helping me refresh and renew! I think this will be my new nail place. Staff are incredibly sweet, they spend time pampering (massaging, painting, etc.), and the prices are reasonable. They have a lot of options for spa packages, which I like. Advice: definitely make an appointment on the weekends as it can get pretty busy. This place charges for EVERY LITTLE THING. I got a fill in that is already $5 more than other places and they charged me $3 EXTRA because she ask me if i wamted my nails "CUT DOWN". I was out in the Ashburn area and needed a manicure so used Yelp for a referral. This salon is very attractive and comfortable. They have more dipping powder color selections than I have ever seen in one place. Ni did a great job with my manicure. They are open until 8pm which is great. My daughter and I loved this place. My last mani/pedi was at another "popular" Ashburn salon, which was packed and not at all relaxing. At Abbey, they took their time and the atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxing. I think I have now found my salon going forward. read more

I was so surprised at the results once I left the salon because yelpers had given abbey nails raving reviews! VERY friendly technicians; however, I left unhappy. I got a shellac manicure ( I've uploaded photos) and I was not happy with the results. You can see the inconsistencies in polish color when you look at all of my nails together (some are darker shades than others). And beyond that, before my technician had given me my hand massage, she moved onto another client which I thought was rather rude and inappropriate considering there was another technician that was available. Usually when I get shellac manicures, my technicians take about 45 Minutes if not longer, this one only took 30 minutes and so I got what I was given in terms of results. I thought the actually manicure part came out well, it was really just the rushed service and polish inconsistency that I didn't appreciate. This place deserves 0 stars. I got here and was told 10 min wait. 30 mins later, no one was available for a simple manicure. I asked multiple times how much longer they were going to be and was told "soon" Or "next". I had to walk out after 30 Mins. I understand that they are busy but there needs to be a respect of other people's time. Don't lie and tell me I'll have to wait 10 mins when you clearly know it'll be longer. Typically love this place. Today I made appointments for one pedicure and one pedicure/manicure. We arrived promptly for our appointments. Someone started on my nails about 15 minutes late. They didn't start on my friend's nails until mine were almost completed. She took my nail polish off but then told me she didn't have time to do a manicure because other clients were waiting. If you don't have time for the appointment, just tell me when I call. I could have gone somewhere else. Now I have to go elsewhere because my nails look terrible. read more

This is a solid nail salon for several reasons that have irritated me at other places: 1. I set an appointment and do not wait 2. Kim does not double book so when she is working on me she is ONLY working on me 3. She keeps a good supply of gel colors. A place that I went to before would stretch an almost empty bottle with a liquid of some type. It made the color uneven and the coats light, which led to short-lived color that chipped within a week. 4. Salon is very clean and calm. Not chaotic like other salons. 5. Kim's gel manicures are amazing! I have made it 3 weeks which never happened before. I highly recommend Kim and Tran (misspelled???) for mani/pedis. It is a wonderful experience! Good service, good prices. 6 of us made appointments to get our nails done before a wedding, and they were easily able to accommodate us. I'm very pleased with my French gel manicure. My pedicure could have been a bit better, but it was still solid. Would definitely return to this place. read more

I was looking for a new nail place to try out before my vacation the next day so I found Abbey Nails. I called ahead and said they could take my mom and I that night. They were extremely friendly and I enjoyed the experience. The prices were a lot cheaper than other nail areas. However, on my vacation within 2 days my gel manicure was chipping. They kill my nails with the gel chemicals . I don't know if those are cheap. I have been there ones per week because the painting was broke they change every time. After a month to do it my nails start to broke like paper. When I have been there they polish my nails to badly the scratch the nail. I espend alot of money and time. I don't come back again. I went to Abbey Nails Monday night for the first time. The staff was terrific. They were very friendly and did a fantastic job on my nails. Also, the salon has OPI colors I have not seen elsewhere. But if the place has air conditioning, they did not have it on and it was very hot and uncomfortable. I should have had a clue when I saw the front door propped open. Also, the salon is old, very dark and needs to be renovated. My nails looked quite different in good light the next day. Thankfully, I'm still very happy with the color but it could have been different. They also don't have nail dryers, so I had to just sit there and couldn't do some things I needed to and go to bed when I wanted to because I wasn't sure my nails were dry. They're a couple dollars more expensive than my regular salon and you can't put the tip on your card. I think I'll go back to my regular place with A/C and nail dryers and light! read more

I just left this place. Got gel french manicure ($35). My nails look so beautiful and clean! The nail tech really cleaned up my cuticles. Everything was great. Tho the place is small, it gets busy quick. My nail tech had to multi tasks and I didn't get her full attention. But since my nails came out so perfectly. I ignored it. I have been coming to this salon for about two years. It is clean and quiet, and the technicians are friendly. I have never had to wait more than five or ten minutes, but I always have an appointment. I see Mai for a gel manicure ($30) and regular pedicure ($27) every two weeks. She is a perfectionist - I absolutely love her! As a nurse, I am constantly washing my hands, so my nails typically last the full two weeks if I can restrain myself from picking/peeling. They will use the razor on calluses only at your request, otherwise it's a pumice stone. read more

I got an a acrylic manicure from Kim yesterday. Wow! It is by far the best manicure I've ever had. Usually nail techs tear up my cuticles, but Kim was incredibly careful and nothing hurt throughout the entire process. She listened to exactly what I wanted through the entire process and my nails turned out exactly how I wanted them. The acrylic turned out much thinner than usual as well, so my nails look natural and aren't as cumbersome as acrylics usually are. The best part: my entire acrylic set was only $30! The manicurist I was assigned to had a very bad attitude and was very rude. After my SNS manicure I had to ask her to remove excess product from the skin around my nails. It looked like I had applied the product with my eyes closed. In less that one week two nails cracked. When I went back for a repair she accused me of hitting something. She went on to remove a small section of product and replace it with a patch, then proceeded to the back to reconnect with her cell phone. Now I have a patch on two nails. Kim has done a fantastic job on my nails and I have been going back every 2 weeks for gel manis and pedis ever since I found her.
