Great service in this tiny little Korean restaurant! Everyone was so friendly, helping when we had questions, which was great. The chicken egg rolls, and the noodle salad were so good! The spice, the crunch, yummy! I brought my daughter who loves Korean food, and she was very happy. Try the house made pickled daikon- so yummy! I will definitely return to try more menu items.

Chicken sandwich ($13) with fried chicken breast and chili crunch.

My #1 favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities from the first time I tried it. It's so rare these days (especially in the metro) to find a place that has food that's THIS good at such an affordable and accessible price point. It's a small space, so I also really appreciate that they're aware of their capacity and operate as a counter-serve joint. The chicken sandwich ($13) is the best I've ever had--the fried breast is juicy and flavorful, and is complemented so nicely by the pickled vegetables and the milk bun. In addition to all of the standard toppings, you get an option of sauce on the sandwich, and to me, it's an absolute non-negotiable to get the chili crunch! Abang Yoli's chili crunch is my favorite ever and has the perfect blend of spice and umami. The Asian fries ($5) are also a must--the portion is HUGE and the crispy leeks with the nori salt elevates the fries so much. The sesame aioli adds a nice subtle and mild flavor to balance out the (pleasant) saltiness of the fries. They also have one of the best breakfasts in the cities on Thursdays-Saturdays from 8-11a. The house cured pomegranate bacon that comes on their Breakfast Bang Bowl ($12) or Seoul Sunrise Sandwich ($12) is mind-blowing!

Chicken Sandwich w Gochujang sauce

We stopped here during Lyndale open streets and I'm so happy we did! We had been eyeing this place for awhile but finally decided to try! You walk in and order at the counter and then sit wherever you want! The staff was nice and got our food out quickly! The restaurant is cute and clean. I do think the air was off but I think it may have been broken. We ordered the Chicken sandwich with the Gochujang sauce (recommended by the person taking our order), the Abang Dog and the Kimchi slaw. My boyfriend LOVED his sandwich. It was messy but he said it was really delicious. Great level of spice and not at all dry or over cooked. The Abang Dog was really amazing. It was a little messy to eat with all the green onions but I really loved the mound of them, it added a nice freshness to an intensely flavorful hot dog. The chicken sausage it was made with was great. It was snappy, flavorful, and a great level of smokiness. The sauce was perfect for it. I really enjoyed it. Would absolutely recommend to someone else. I tried the kimchi slaw and it wasn't my favorite thing ever but I'm also very picky about my kimchi so it's probably more of a me issue lol. Overall, I would definitely encourage other people to try this place out! I can't wait to come and try out their breakfast menu!!!!

Cha siu bao

I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything we ordered was. I've tried the chicken sandwich before at Malcolm yards and wasn't that impressed by it, so I ordered the abang dog and my husband got the chicken sandwich. We also got the Asian fries and Cha siu bao to share. I was so shocked at how big the sausage was in the abang dog, it came out piping hot and juicy with the similar toppings you get on the Asian fries which I'm obsessed with. It consists of a lot of scallions, spicy pickled cucumbers and I think mayo. The best combo ever, with the extra crunch from the pickled cucumbers and snap from the sausage, it was delish. The Asian fries are a must have and I love how nice and thin they are, super crispy. The Cha siu has a good smoke to it and is a good addition if you're extra hungry. The only call out I would say for this location is that they do not have a bathroom inside for customers to use so not as convenient for those that want to dine in. Ambiance feels like a typically fast food joint with a small amount of seating. Either way, it was clean and I'll definitely be back.

Yum!!!! Love this place and all the bright flavorful options. The Asian fries are fully loaded and delicious. The bun on my chicken sandwich got a little charred unfortunately but the flavors stiill shone through. And the cookie was awesome too! This is a really cute place with nice reward options when you sign up!

Ordered delivery when i was in town for work and it did not disappoint! The packaging of everything was really well done - and even though it was about 20ish minute drive, it was still warm when it got delivered! I ordered the fried chicken (9/10), sweet potatoes (10/10 please get these), a pork belly boa (good; but not amazing 6/10) and the kimchi slaw (8/10) Next time, I will definitely plan on stopping by in person - just so I can have it fresh!

Abang Yoli surprised me y'all. I was snared in by their website's free chicken sandwich offer with an entrée and thought I may find tasty pan Asian fusion to shovel down on a late night. I didn't expect the food to be the daring fire-dance of flavor with intentionality on every component that it was. I ordered the char siu with my free fried chicken sandwich, sampling both as I dined in. The Char Siu includes Cantonese bbq pork belly, with translucent cucumber, jasmine rice and pickled jalapeño. The dish slapped my mouth with seared, sweet and savory deliciousness. The pork belly was thickly sliced with a fat middle that melted in my mouth. The jalapeño is not merely a garnish, but a true contribution to the meal. I paired the tastes together for a flavor zap. The sandwich is a behemoth, and my first bite was straight tempura fried chicken thigh. I had one thought: sinful. That's how delicious the chicken itself was. The well-spiced fried chicken was thick and juicy. It may be the best fried chicken I've had in Minnesota (a state in which I had almost given up on finding great fried chicken). But the chicken is only the heart of a much larger team. You would think lettuce and tomato would be irrelevant on a sandwich with this level of flavor, but there's so much intentionality behind the other parts. The brioche bun, boston lettuce, and fresh tomato all bring an integrity to the entire sandwich. And the honey-like ooze of the garlic sauce contrasted the fried texture of the chicken while also enhancing the taste. Eating it is messy, like kissing a hot stranger at a music concert. My favorite flavor experience with both meals was the crunch. The peeled scallions on top of the rice, the sear of the pork belly and even the dull snap of the jalapeño. Unity and boldness of flavor elevates Abang Yoli to a high level of dining.

This place has amazing fried chicken. The baos were kind of awkward to eat, and I wasn't a fan of the short rib bao texture-wise. My friend got the sandwich and really liked it!

Korean Fried Chicken

Stopped by the Market at Malcolm Yards and couldn't pass up an opportunity to get Korean Fried Chicken! I ordered a two piece with both the Gochuchang and Sesame Ginger Garlic Sauces, and kimchi slaw. The fried chicken had a great crunch and was well seasoned. The chicken on the thigh piece was super tender and juicy, but the breast piece was a tad dry in some bites. I loved the gochuchang sauce. It had a good level of heat and sweet. The sesame ginger garlic sauce had a great flavor but was a touch too salty for me. I really enjoyed the kimchi as well-just wish I had a little more! Overall a tasty meal, and the service was good.

The size of the space + window seating makes it feel like a cool Brooklyn hole in the wall that you can pop in/out of--which TC desperately needs more of. The signature item is the fried chicken (sammie) and may be one of the best I've ever had - its humungous, well worth the price and make sure you have a pile of napkins ready. THere is an option for a grilled chicken vs. fried, but buyer beware: you will get less (seemingly) less chicken, so unless you have a dietary restriction - go fried! As for spice I'm a pretty standard 3/5 on a spice scale and the gochujang sauce hits perfectly for me. The Asian fries are a can't miss. The only reason I'm taking off one star is because I genuinely can't eat at this location after sundown. Sad but true. Nothing personal to the staff or quality of food, but we have to order takeaway because of the harsh light coming from the bev cooler. I know this may sound weird/minor, but it doesn't matter where I sit, it reflects/catches/whatever... it just throws the ambiance off for me. But after getting home with our order it is always well packaged and still warm and always delicious.

Bulgogi Beef Short Rib Ssam - perfect
Kitty P.

All bangers, no skips. Everything we had here was so so good! The flavors were all on point, I can't wait to have the short rib again. We've had the chicken sandwich at Malcolm Yards and it's perfect - great to know that it's not a one hit wonder! Restaurant was pretty small, glad it wasn't super busy, but loved being able into the kitchen. Already looking forward to our next visit.

The chicken was good. However, the buns seemed a little dry and stale. Pricey in return for just the sandwich.

There were other great options too! So this would be a solid date spot or meeting with friends so everyone can get something they like. There is a fair amount of seating inside and a fair amount of seating outside on a patio. There really isn't a view for the patio. There are free parking lots across the street though! Service: This is where they lost a star from us. The woman who took our order had no energy, wasn't very friendly and just looked annoyed we were ordering. I had heard good things about the service, so this was a bummer. The food: We got them take out wings and each got the pork ramen. The wings are very good, but best in twin cities? No. Are they worth getting? If you love a crunchy wing, then yes! The ramen had the most flavorful broth!! Oh my goodness it was rich and full of flavor! The noddles were cooked perfectly! Definitely one of the best ramen dishes I have had in the twin cities! We would have tried the ribs but they were all out of :( Definitely check this place out!

This place is absolutely fantastic! I've actually been coming here for a few years with my friends…read morefor happy hour. Recently, I started coming for the food dinner and realized I was missing a lot. Their menu is very thoughtful in each dish has a nice variety of textures and flavors. I will say that their Ramen is one of the best in town. I think really what sets it apart is the broth being super in depth and they grill the pork belly which makes it really smoky and tender. This time I branched out and got the grilled squid as well and it was exceptional. The soy ginger glaze on it was incredible. The only few downsides I think I've noticed is service can be a little bit hit or miss which is surprising how small the places. Even when sitting at the bar, it took a little bit to get their attention. Also, I've tried a few of the cocktails and for the main part they just taste like alcohol with a soda. They sound extremely creative on the menu, but the balance isn't there. Either way I've typically gotten sake as they have a nice little selection. Overall, I love the whole vibe of this place. I always enjoy being able to see people make sushi. It's very open yet. Doesn't get overwhelmingly loud. Definitely my top three Japanese spots in Minneapolis.

Drinks: The Last Samurai cocktail & the Imposter Among Us mocktail were both delightful. Love the unique drink options, and the two we had were executed beautifully. Sushi: Unfortunately, the sushi was a bit disappointing. We had the hotate yuzu, Suzuki oshizushi, tamago nigiri, and the futomaki. The rice was unfortunately undercooked, and also too lightly seasoned. The tamago was alright, the futomaki was very good though. Dessert: The yuzu custard - one of my favorite desserts I've eaten in a long time. Definitely the best thing we had and I would absolutely get it again. Service: Our service was pretty good. I did watch one of the other servers grab soup spoons by the part you eat from and then bring them to a table which was concerning. Note: For anyone with dietary specifications: they offered gluten free soy sauce, and the custard was a vegan dessert and it was delightful.
