Got the happy hour drink, longan and juilibe. The longan flavor is very prominent and service was a bit slow since there was only 1 person working. Besides the prominent flavor, I didn't particularly enjoy the drink but might come back to try some of their other drinks. Overall, affordable and definitely refreshing.
This spot is located with a good amount of parking. There's a handful of tables inside. They have coffee, matcha, fruit tea, milk teas, slushies. They have options for almond milk and oat milk for 85¢. You can order from the register or on the kiosk. They offer full sweet, half sweet, or no sweet. They have a good amount of add ons. I tried their passion fruit green tea with boba half sweet and their peach green tea with boba half sweet. All the drinks were super refreshing. Half sweet was perfect but I with they had 25% sweet. The boba consistency was perfectly chewy.
The parking can get a little tricky when coming at peak hours. There's parking up front but it's located in a busy plaza. There's a few tables that you can sit at to enjoy your drink and they also have restroom in the back. Variety of coffee and matcha drink options. As well as milk tea and fruit tea drinks. They have a variety of toppings for 85 cents. The boba is perfectly chewy! I got the passionfruit tea half sweet which was refreshing on a hot day.
So tasty and refreshing! Really nice service here, I had a hard time choosing what I wanted and the person behind the counter really catered to the flavors that I was looking for. I ordered lychee black tea with grapefruit + lychee jelly. I ordered peach black tea + rainbow jelly for my partner. I appreciated that they took their time making the drinks, I could taste every layer of flavor and they were not stingy with the jelly. Absolutely loved my drink and so did my partner! The space is very tidy and cute, plenty of parking. Looks like they recently made some changes to their menu so I recommend making your choices based off the menu inside the store front and not online. See you soon!
They changed their menu which looks fancier now with options of snow and cloud cream tops. Came for their BOGO Pistachio Cloud Jasmine tea which had a strong jasmine taste and creamy pistachio top with diced pistachios. I don't usually get cream tops, but the sweetness balanced out the bitterness of the jasmine tea since I get it less sweet. Their boba was great! Soft and chewy!
Really good find. I like the multiple options abs ability to get non dairy milks with no extra charge. You can also adjust the level of sweetness which is great. Relatively fast service considering they make it to order. The ambiance is calm and relaxing, very well decorated. Super cute. They have free wifi if you need to work.

Yummy refreshing drinks. Not all boba taste and feel the same. Theirs tasted good and soft unlike some I've tasted. Will be back to try their other drinks.
This is the best boba we have ever had! The boba is super fresh--just the right amount of chewy softness, almost buttery. The tea is not bitter or over-steeped. Just the right amount of sweetness. We got the brown sugar boba milk teas and the strawberry cheesecake drink with boba. The milk teas came with a sea salt cream foam that was also soooo yummy. The prices were also very reasonable ($25 for 4 boba drinks). We may have to go here again before we head back home!!
They were okay. Nothing was particularly good or memorable. Also, they don't do ice adjustments - 100% or no ice.

This is my sister's go-to boba shop in Cypress. They have a huge selection (73 types of drinks to be specific), all of which are customizable. You can choose how much ice you want, how much sugar you want in your drink, and what toppings you want. I got the taro milk tea, which I found to be pretty unique in that they actually smear real taro around the drink. The only reason I took off one star today, however, is because they ran out of boba. I came in around 9:30 and they only had one serving of boba left (to which I let my sister have), but as a boba shop, wouldn't you err on the side of too much boba, rather than too little boba? And the boba that my sister got was a little too hard for my liking, not squishy like it should be. Tips: 1) Take advantage, and customize your drinks to your liking! 2) They have a minimum of $5 for card transactions, and they charge you 25 cents for transactions under $5 read more

Their drinks are SO good and taste so fresh. I've ordered here 2x in the past two days and each time the service was very welcoming, drinks were made fast, and they tasted great. I just moved into the area so I will definitely be coming here often! read more

When we are closer to this area this is our choice for boba shops. The drinks are made well, the prices are reasonable, the service is consistently friendly, and it's great seeing how hard the ownership works and appreciates their customers' business. There's a good amount of seating to hang out for a bit and parking isn't hard to find in this plaza. Please keep up the good work AB Teahouse :)!! read more

0/10, Got a Cookies and Cream Milk tea (comes with egg pudding, caramel and boba) and Thai tea w/boba, they both taste watered down and unsweetened, no flavor at all in either. Boba texture is ok but it doesn't have any flavor like brown sugar read more

I came here for first time yesterday and came back!! Stopped by right before closing when they ran out of regular boba so had to improvised with crystal boba. Fell in love with it. I got the brown sugar milk tea which is one of their top 10. So many teas to choose from and after having bad experience on milk tea elsewhere I was put to ease and was reminded how milk teas are supposed to be. I really wanted to like this place after the new name change, but I found that the qualiTEA has gone down. If it weren't for the friendly and helpful staff, I would have given it just a 1 star review. I've been a regular since it was originally Gotcha Teahouse. If you noticed, the page still has pictures and reviews of when it was Gotcha Teahouse, so be mindful about that if you're deciding whether to come here or not. I was a bit sad that they didn't have the Alishan Tea anymore, but I'm assuming they were only able to have it using Gotcha Teahouse's name, but that was fine with me. I just hoped that it would still be my to go boba place since it would be the closest boba shop to me. Came here twice for their 30% deal, and sadly, I've just noticed the lack of tea in their drinks despite it being a tea drink. I decided to give it one more chance when I found out they extended their 30% deal until 5/31, but I was disappointed again. Tea was still bland, and the boba pearls were not as soft and chewy as before. Not only that, there was significantly less pearls given in the drinks. Perhaps if you're fine with bland tea, or if you usually opt for tea-free drinks, then this might be the boba shop for you. Considering how they are one of the first few boba shops that popped up in the area, I really wanted them to stay in business, but now with all these new boba shops opening up in the Cypress area, I can see a lot of people supporting those businesses instead. read more
I came here for dessert after having lunch down the street. I was excited to try the boba drinks here because the reviews and pictures were so amazing. The parking lot was large so finding a spot was easy. The interior is bright and clean. The decor is cute with a few paintings and fake plants. There's plenty of tables and chairs so you can sit and enjoy your drinks. The staff are very friendly and nice. They offer suggestions if you're unsure what to order. The 2 stars are for the politeness and service. The 1 star is for the boba drinks. I wasn't impressed with the drinks - it tasted bland and watered down :\ I ordered the Matcha Latte and it was ok. I didn't get the strong matcha flavor like I do at other boba shops. The boba was cooked well since it had a nice chew. My friend ordered a Strawberry Smoothie and he said it was ok as well. His lychee add on wa good, but the strawberry flavor was lacking. I don't live in this area so I won't be coming back, sorry. No longer Gotcha Teahouse!- but still so good! I went here after a quick target run and was surprised to find out that this place had been renamed. But it still did not disappoint! I ordered the jasmine milk tea with boba and it was great! The boba was chewy and the drink was tasty. I have it a 4/5 because I did not feel very welcomed by the staff. It makes me so sad to write this review because I actually love this place and I come here quite often. However, after this experience, I won't be coming back. I ordered a black sugar boba with milk and when I come home, to my surprise, I find that it's not filled to the top. Actually, a lot of the drink is missing. I'd understand some boba shops do this when you ask for no ice but I did not ask for any ice preference. Keep in mind I've ordered this drink many times before and this actually happened once before. The first time it happened, I just thought to myself "maybe they ran out of milk" and let it go. I ordered the same drink multiple times before and after that incident and didn't have any problems with it. So when it happened for the second time today, I had to call and ask why. The response I got was that when they shake the milk, it gets foamy and when the foam settles, it leaves a gap in my cup. This would make sense if this happens EVERY time I order this drink. I've ordered it multiple times before and usually it's filled to the top. So how is it that 95% of the time the drink is filled up and the other 5% it's not? This doesn't really make sense to me. Next I ask them "so should I just expect to not have my cup filled if I order milk drinks?" That's when I got hung up on. Now not only do I feel like I've been cheated of my money, I also feel incredibly disrespected. So fair warning for all you Yelpers: order a milk drink and you won't get a filled cup! read more

I was early for an appointment in this plaza and craving some boba so I decided to check this place out after skimming through some of their reviews! I was interested in trying the Jade Jasmine Milk Tea which the cashier described as a more floral, jasmine milk tea but they were all out. I decided to go with their #1 most popular drink, the Signature Milk Tea, and got it with boba, 75% sugar, and less ice. It came out to $4.50 which is about average price for a boba drink. I was pleasantly surprised by the balance of sweetness and creaminess for the milk tea. There was a decent tea strength but what let me down was the boba balls themselves. They could've been sweeter and more chewy. There's free wifi and a couple of tables in the store so I could definitely see this as a nice study spot. They don't do stamp cards but use Fivestars as a convenient rewards program. Overall, I would come back to try other drinks on the menu if I were in the area! read more

Update: Visited formerly known 'Gotcha Teahouse' to find it renamed. Happy to say that my coconut milk tea tastes just as good as I rememered it to be! Not sure if the other drinks tastes the same from when it was under the previous name. Came in and enjoyed my drink and found myself pleasantly surprised to see that 'AB Teahouse' has a cute hamster logo as part of their brand seen minimally on the cups, as well as, on the wall decor. This place drew me in with the bear jelly! I like them because they taste good and look extremely cute but depending on what drink you get, you might not even be able to see the bears clearly. This place is also really expensive for the quality in my opinion. Their tea is not especially good even though with the bear jelly, you will be paying close to $4.5-$5.5 for a drink. I got the jasmine milk tea and the mixed fruit tea and both were really sweet even with 50% sweetness. Definitely try 25% sweetness if you don't have a sweet tooth! Also the bear jelly doesn't really taste like lychee and is quite difficult to suck through the straw. Maybe a slush with the jelly on top would work better? The store is super cute and is plastered in cute hamsters with boba. Honestly, that was the best part of this place. I recommend you give this place a try if you're willing to pay 90 cents for the bear jelly on top of a pricey drink for a cute, one-time Instagram picture. Don't think I'll be back but at least I can say I tried it. There are better boba places in Orange County. Note: they have a $5 minimum requirement for card. read more

This place is now my new favorite tea spot! I usually go to 7leaves because it's right next to my house, but I'm willing to drive the extra 8 minutes to get to Gotcha! My boyfriend ordered the signature milk tea with boba and egg pudding, and I ordered the peach green tea with no toppings. When I picked up my drink, I was surprised when the cashier told me that there's real peaches in it. Obviously canned peaches, but it's still real fruit. Now for the actual taste of the tea itself, AMAZING! The green and black tea doesn't taste extremely bitter, which means it was brewed correctly. (: I wished my fruit was cut up though because I couldn't sip it through a straw haha. As for my bf's milk tea, it tasted delicious-herbal and not overpowered with fructose syrup! The egg pudding tastes like regular pudding made with the lollicup powder mix. The drinks were 16 oz and cost less than $5 each. There are plenty of seats but only a few tables. The Taro Smoothie with Boba is pricy at $7. The boba had just been cooked and was so hot it melted the smoothie, turning it liquid. What really disgusted me is how filthy the store is. There is a visible, thick layer of dust on everything, including everything on the counters. It's so dark inside it made me wonder what they're hiding. The windows are filthy, as well, and it's obvious they haven't been cleaned in weeks. This ashould have told me to enter at my own risk. There are so many really good tea and boba shops around that you don't have to go to AB Teahouse. Stay clear. read more

Peach green tea for the win! When I heard they were opening up a boba shop nearby, I was ecstatic. I've been saying for years now, that they really need to open up a boba shop around here... and finally, my wishes came true! This place does not disappoint. Their teas are very tasty. My favorite tea is their Peach green tea. I love that they serve you a peach slice in your drink. Their signature milk tea is also pretty good. They don't overpower their teas and milk teas with sugar or milk. Every drink that they make has a perfect balance of sugar and ice; they make sure their tea is the main star. I also have to comment on their cups. I love how the lids come with two options for you to drink. You can drink it with a straw or sip without a straw, not having to worry about your drink leaking. There's board games, free wifi, perfect place to study, and they have just enough tables to sit and enjoy your boba with friends and family. read more

Finally!! They got a legit boba place in this location ! Do you know how many years I have been waiting to have one here? I was weirded out bc i ordered a drink the other day and asked for easy ice since i was taking them home, i didn't want them to water down. As I waited I noticed they placed a drink on the counter and it was 3/4 of the cup and then added another one which had a little bit more but then was still not completely full. When they called for my drinks, I told them that I said easy ice not no ice as it stated on the cup. The girl apologized and started adding ice to my drinks, but I noticed instead of adding ice or more milk tea, SHE ADDED MORE WATER. are you kidding me, I would have just added more ice but she really had to add more water, I was so annoyed at that point. Anyways I've tried these drinks so far: Mom's favorite: milk tea with honey, red beans, jelly. 4/5 not too sweet it was more of a dessert than a drink. Thought the red beans were taro lol but its apparently red bean. Honey Green Milk tea: Green tea with milk and honey. 3/5 I asked for less ice and it wasn't as sweet as I wanted it to be and also the drink needed more milk or to be a little bit creamier. Mango Macchiato: Mango slush with sea salt. 4/5 substituted the sea salt foam with cheese foam. I usually mix the two together before I drink it bc it's so much creamier. Rose Milk Tea: 2/5 not very strong the milk tea is very watery and the rose is just a hint. Ok. Caramel Milk Tea: 3/5 the milk tea was very sweet but tastes more like chocolate milk tea than caramel. Paris Milk tea: Caramel milk tea with pudding, boba and oreos. 4/5 prefer it without the oreos. Lychee Macchiato: Lychee slush with sea salt foam on top. Didn't really enjoy the two together and I prefer lychee on it's own, not so milky. So I give it a 3/5. read more

Ok, I found my new boba y'all! Came in today to give this place a try. I LOOOOOVE IT! The boba is perfectly sweet & chewy just how it should be! I got the Paris 1883 which comes with caramel milk tea, egg pudding and boba! Loved it! My husband got the strawberry milk tea with boba, just as amazing! & My mom got the taro milk tea! I swear I could've drank all three if they weren't! LOL! But fair warning to those "boba fanatics", if you like your drinks to be more on the sweet, milky side, this place isn't for you. I could tell they really focus on the quality of the tea & it's on point. This place is definitely more tea then any other places in the area. All in all. Definitely my new go to! read more
My cousins and I wanted to grab some bubble tea after we had lunch, so stopped here on our way back home. We ordered a couple of milk teas and a few Mixed Fruit Teas. The Mixed Fruit Teas cone with peach, strawberries, lemon, and oranges, and we noticed that ours didn't have any strawberries. But it did look like there were also apples added to the fruit teas. Drove by and name changed from Gotcha to AB TEAHOUSE? I'm so confused.
The menu and taste is pretty much the same. They just wanted to be more flexible with how they run their business so decided to not franchise any longer with Gotcha.
May I ask do the smoothies or slush drinks include tea?
Hi Eric, our smoothies do not have tea, but our tea slush do have green tea in it.
Are there any milk substitutes?... like soy milk?
Yes, we do offer soy milk or almond milk for 50 cent extra.
