Sadly, the fences in our area had finally aged out, and it was time to replace them. We had noticed the neighbors a few doors down had done all the fencing around their home, back, side, and front. Everything looked very good, and we asked who did the work. It was AB Fencing. Our neighbors wanted to replace the shared fence, so it fell to me to do a search. AB was top of my list, but I also wanted to get 5 comparative quotes. The first one was a non-starter, but the other four came out, and we discussed what could and should be done. After putting all 5 quotes into a spreadsheet, AB came out on top. With one area that made a special request on, AB was almost half off a couple of the quotes. Alfonso started the job when he said he would. He talked us through where and how he would do things and the stages of taking down the old fence and putting the new one up. He really powered through it, and the new fence looks amazing. He had some steep terrain to deal with, but did it all much faster than expected. The end result is amazing. We have an entirely new backyard. Behind us is a greenspace, and the new fence with the hogwire opens it up much more than the previous fence. He also added a gate so we can maintain the weeds and a bit of a firebreak. I highly recommend AB Fencing and Alfonso. This review is long overdue but Alfonso did some work at my house in California a few years ago and he did an amazing job! It still looks just as good as it did when he first did the job, we always receive compliments. It took a week or two for me to get an estimate after I first called.. I believe he had mentioned he is the only person working for the company (he is also the owner) so it was understandable that it takes him a while to get to phone calls. I had been looking for someone to do our side fence due to the winter storms blowing our fence down. I called Alfonso and he returned my call within a day. We scheduled an estimate and he sent my the cost proposal. His bid came in much lower than other companies I contacted. It took him a while to start on my fence due to the amount people needing fence work due to the storms. All the other companies I contacted were just as busy. He showed up when he said he would, it took him only 2 days to get everything done. The fence looks great and he cleaned up all of the debris. They have done an excellent job in our neighborhood, that why I called them. The came out right away and said we would get an estimate the next day. After 1 week no estimate, so I called them again. They said the they would submit it the next day. After another week we finally got an estimate which was in line with 2 other estimates we had. They said they had to check with the lumberyard because they changed the prices??? Well I had lost confidence about the way they communicated. Call was answered and I again asked for an estimate. He said he was driving and that if I would be available in a half hour, he'd call back. I waited all day and still no call from him 3 days later.
