I contacted Rodolfo to get an estimate for a retainer wall repair among many other contractors. I had checked his reviews with yelp and they were pretty good. He came out in a reasonable time and gave me an estimate. The estimate was rather high in comparison to others. I asked him could he come down on his price after considering other estimates, which he did. So I decided to do business with him because of the reviews. Rodolfo and his crew came out on Friday and began to work. They dug up the area that needed to be replaced with the brick retainer wall and hauled off the wood that was damaged. Everything went well on day one besides letting me know they were done for the day or when they would return which wasn't mentioned until later (I'll get to that). Day 2 which was days later due to the rain but I called Rodolfo to ask when they would return because that hadn't been communicated when they left without notice. He said they would return when it stopped raining which I understood but as the contractor that should have been communicated vs me calling to find out when they would return. So it happens to not be raining Monday morning. I hear my doorbell ring at 7:35am unexpectedly while I'm asleep. It's Rodolfo letting me know they would be working today since it wasn't raining. This day the workers severed a cable wire which was noticed by a contractor I had over doing a job for windows which he noticed from upstairs. I went out to take a look and asked about the wire. Rodolfo told me that it was either internet or old wiring that was useless. He did reconnect the wire and I didn't notice a loss of internet or other issues electrical in my house. Another issue was the addition to price agreed upon for extending the bricks to the edge of the sidewalk and not further up the sidewalk which we discussed day one. He did a calculation of it being an additional $800 which I explained to him again that I wanted the brick to only go the edge of sidewalk. He then made a new calculation making the original agreed upon price increase $200 which I agreed to but felt it was a bad business practice to add on more to the price we agreed he would do the job for in the beginning . To add to this the workers cut some of the roots from one of the trees in the area of the job. This concerned me due to my research of learning that cutting a certain amount of a trees roots can cause the tree to die. I mentioned to Rodolfo and he said he would replace the tree if it died. This was all in conversation but he hadn't yet revised the original contract he sent me with the new price we agreed to and I had asked more than once in order to pay a deposit and half of the price of the job they had currently did. Rodolfo reassured me he would email the new price/ contract which he didn't end up sending until 11:33am the last day of work which is roughly the time the job was finished and he contacted me to come down to look at the work ( this being day 3- a day after next hard rain) Just to shorten this a little but fill in other issues, all the dirt dug was placed in a location on the side of my house that caused the rain water to travel into my side door and in the garage. I called Rodolfo immediately left a message and text/pics to let him know. We talked about it and he said he would be there the next morning to finish the job. This review is not that I wasn't happy with the outcome of the work but the lack of communication, change of price agreed to, failure to keep word and provide necessary documentation in a timely manner and the technicalities that occurred during the job that inconvenienced myself and family. At this point I'm still waiting for the updated contract Rodolfo said he would email to me with it in writing that he would replace the tree if it died within a year from the results of his workers cutting the roots of the tree. read more

We hired Campos Landscaping for irrigation work, including installing new valves and repairing or removing some sprinklers. Initially, the work appeared complete, and we were advised to monitor watering times and adjust as needed. However, within weeks, we noticed our lawn was suffering--dry patches started appearing, and it became clear that water wasn't reaching several areas of the yard. We called and texted multiple times to report the issue and were told someone would look into it, but no one ever followed up. Eventually, we gave up after repeated unanswered calls and messages. There is no service after the sale. To make matters worse, a few weeks later, one of the brand-new valve bodies they installed failed. We woke up to find the street flooded because the valve was stuck open, wasting water and adding to our frustration. Campos Landscaping might finish a job, but they do not stand behind their work. Based on our experience, we do not recommend them. read more

From the time I accepted the quote, my yard was done within 48 hours. The team was great - very efficient and set my dog at ease. They helped me save and reuse rocks and plants from my "before" yard, and they trimmed existing plants. Rodolfo did an extra plant shop with me when I decided I needed more. I recently hired Campos Landscaping company for my backyard remodel, particularly for stamped concrete and water irrigation. The leader of the team is Rodolfo. I and my whole family were impressed greatly by him and his team's outstanding performance. My parents have nothing but praises for Rodolfo and his team. (1) Communication: Rodolfo responded quickly. I tend to text him, which I prefer because I can send him pictures as well, and he also responded promptly to emails and phone call. He always kept me up to date on the progress of the project, and I always felt freely to ask him questions and tell him my expectation. Rodolfo was always very sincere and polite, and treated my parents with respect, which eased my parents through the entire project because they're not used to having strangers in their backyard. Due to Rodolfo and his team's sincerity, honesty, and hard-working, my parents had came to like the entire team so much. (2) Cost: fair prices. I did my research, and the quote Rodolfo gave me was within my expectation. After seeing how they worked and the quality and dedication of their job, I can only say they deserve every penny of the pay and much more. The best part is: Rodolfo told me it was still not done yet. When he's done, it's going to look even better, and I was like: OMG, you're telling me it can look better than it is now?!?! Totally blew my mind. (4) Cleaning up: very organize and did not leave any trash behind. Rodolfo and his team treated every space of my property with great care, and they always ask for permission. My parents told me 2 examples: (a) at the end of the day, Rodolfo would told his team to pick up every little trash and brought it with them, and he would even make a round to make sure his team cleaned up properly before leaving for the day (b) when they were disposed of the insulation, the foam was light and the wind blew some of the small pieces away. One of Rodolfo's crew immediately ran after it and used his hand to scoop it up to avoid it flying to other parts of my property or to the neighbor's house. These details seem small, but it left great impression on my parents. (5) Owning their mistakes: because it is a big project, i did not expect everything to be perfect. However, when I pointed out some small details or damages that were done during the work, Rodolfo very sincerely apologized for the mistakes and fixed them immediately. No denial, no hassle. He kept telling me to contact him if anything came up, and despite his busy schedule, he would come to fix the problem. What an honest and trust-worthy company! (6) Summary: I strongly recommend Campos Landscaping with Rodolfo and his team for any of your landscaping project.
