I first had Ortega Landscaping come to my house about a year ago to redo my backyard landscaping and sprinkler system. Ortega and the entire team did a fantastic job, went above and beyond my expectations, and completed the job in a day. Fast forward a year and I wanted to have the tree in my front yard trimmed, and have the grass under it removed and rock installed. Once again Ortega and the team that came out exceeded my expectations. I keep looking at my front and backyard and am so happy with the results! I also need to mention the responsiveness of Ortega. I know he will respond to my requests by phone or text quickly and ask clarifying questions to truly understand what I need. Ortega is someone I trust and would recommend to anyone. read more

Ortega Landscaping did an amazing job on my major backyard clean-up. Since moving to Fairfield 3 years ago, I struggled to find local dependable and great quality landscapers. After some Yelp research, I luckily took my chances with these guys, and I don't regret it one bit. They did an amazing job and had impeccable communication along the way. Highly recommend! read more

Ortega's is a local, family owned and operated full service landscaper. We are so grateful to have found them (originally hired to do a sprinkler valve repair, and then a few months later for a project we wanted to do for years). Ortega is honest and emphasizes open communication to ensure no misunderstandings. His family crew provided high quality results at a fair and reasonable price. I always budget 10% contingency for the inevitable unforeseen issues and the few changes I agreed were fair only added 7% to original estimate. Ortega removed our existing front walkway. It was replaced and extended to the street plus added a front patio / porch in stamped concrete (sandstone base color, dark gray release color, desert slate texture). Ortega also replaced my lawn with commercial grade artificial turf and a "stream bed" of large Noya river rock. I finally achieved my dream of no maintenance in the front! I had other concrete work done 3 years ago by a different contractor. Unfortunately it is already experiencing some issues. I won't explain all the technical details, but Ortega's crew used superior techniques and clearly had more knowledge and experience in durable concrete work. Too bad I didn't know about Ortega back then. I included a before and after picture as well as some shots of their work progression. read more

We were tired of trying to maintain our lawn due to the drought in California. Ortega Landscaping to the rescue! We decided to remove the dried up grass and replace it with artificial turf. They also removed two dying trees and cleaned up our palm trees. My only regret is not doing this sooner! It looks amazing! Indalecio and his crew did outstanding work. They go above and beyond expectations. They pay attention to every detail and clean up well afterwards. My husband and I highly recommend Ortega Landscaping for your next landscaping project. read more

HIRE THIS MAN! If you don't you're making a huge mistake. Not only is he talented he is incredibly kind, hard working and honest. On top of all that him and all his workers were so lovely to my two young kids who were always curious as to what they were up to. We had Ortega do a massive backyard remodel on our .25 of an acre property in Fairfield. He was incredibly knowledgeable about materials and costs. When quoting us he also was kind enough to take in the context of us having kids and providing us not only the most affordable option but what he thought was a better safer option. In total we had him do four main projects for our house. One was a backyard cleanup of what was a hoarders house backyard, traumatizing before photos are attached. The second was installing a 700 sq ft patch of turf. Next was replacing our 50-year-old fence which included a front gate garden gate and adjusting the original fence lines to provide us more backyard space. Lastly he landscaped everything with River Rock & decomposed granite, made us a patio and a spot for our sandbox along with hooking up our dozen fruit trees to a programmable drip system. Some highlights were: Ortega finished our incredibly long and large fence line in almost a day because he wanted it to be safer for the kids. Every time he was scheduled to work he showed up promptly on time if not early. Our last project happened right before the large winter rain and we had to reschedule. He then showed up on the reschedule day even when it was set to rain again so we could have it done in time for a party that weekend. His wonderful smile and positive outlook. I can't wait to save up and have him do more work for us again! read more

Ortega Landscaping recently completed some major yard projects for us- a total front yard makeover that included widening our driveway and a new concrete pad at the bottom of our front steps, as well as building a retaining wall in our backyard. Their work is clean, they completed the projects in a timely manner and the cost was very reasonable. We're very, very pleased with the work they did and will most definitely have them back to help us complete our backyard projects! read more

I contacted this business after they left a business card on my front stoop. I was hoping to get a quote for some mulch in my backyard. I also messaged two other businesses that had also left business cards at our front door. I was in the process of texting the owner of this business when I got a response from someone else with a good quote and willing to set a date to do the work. I politely messaged Ortega to say thank you, but I found someone. His response was one of the most rude and unbusiness-like responses I have ever received! He said, "don't waste my time!" Don't waste your time? You're a business. People are going to contact you. And they are going to contact other businesses and then they will pick the one that they want to go with. Telling potential customers not to waste your time is not a good way to get business. Now or in the future. That's just bad business. You speak to someone that way and they will never use your company in the future, or recommend you to anyone. read more

Ortega Landscaping is terrific! Reasonable prices, shows up on time, gets in & completes the work promptly. They put in a new driveway for us and also completely renewed our yard--clipped bushes, pruned a fruit tree, added new bark--made the yard look great in preparation for selling our home. The owner is always responsive when we call, and he worked around our schedules. We can't think of enough good things to say. We highly recommend Ortega Landscaping!! read more

I had a pretty undesirable big backyard until now thanks to Mr. Ortega and his crew. I just had a few ideas and needed help deciding what to do with such a big space and be able to afford it. With help from Mr. Ortega and Patty with El Rancho nursery, I was able to get a long overdue backyard I can actually enjoy (and afford) . I wanted a low matience, drought resistant (Vacaville heat) yard. Mr. Ortega always shows up on time, answers phone calls promptly and wants to make sure you get exactly what you want. I believe if your going to have some work done, if you have him come talk to you, give you an estimate, you will have a good feeling about what I'm talking about. Very professional and gets the job done to your satisfaction. Lucy Bull read more

We've used Ortega since 2011. He did our landscaping for the backyard and built raised garden beds about 3yrs ago. He redid our side and front yard landscaping with roses and rocks last year. Both times he installed a drip system. He's done other random jobs like fix our fence when the wind blew it down. We have him come twice a week for yard maintenance. Always nice and friendly. He's posted a few pictures of his work on here. read more

My experience with Ortega Lanscaping was top notch. Not only did they do my frontyard but my backyard was completed by them as well. Both jobs were started and completed within 5 days. I was always notified and kept in the know. Before doing any of the projects they always confirmed to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. All of the workers were hard working, very friendly and accommodating. The price was good. I couldn't be any happier with the turnout. My yard is hands down the best on the block! I would def use them again! read more

Always returns calls, comes promptly, does the job on time and does an excellent job. What more can one ask?

I needed to have a water leak fixed quickly as water was starting to flow over the sidewalk in front of my house. A neighbor had recommended Mr. Ortega as they had him complete a similar repair. Mr. Ortega was very easy to contact, and was very good at communicating with me throughout the process. Due to a cancellation he was able to fix the leak earlier than the original date, and he completed the job quickly. There was quite a bit of digging involved, and after the job was done he made sure everything was clean and put back in place so you couldn't even tell there had been an underground repair. I am very satisfied with his quick response time, the quality of his work, and his willingness to explain the process. read more
