When Jr. came over to give us a quote, we gave him some ideas of how we wanted our front yard to look. After listening to what we had to say, he then started giving us other options that could work around our budget. Our idea was to have a wooden deck and he was completely honest with us and let us know that he really didn't specialize in that. However he said he could do some other stuff and that it would take him and his crew 3-4 days. During our conversation with him we could tell he was very passionate about his work and told him that we had a couple of other quotes with one more person coming after his visit. We told him that we would get back to him after that. After we got all the quotes my wife and I sat down to pick who we were going to go with and there was no doubt that it would be Jr. because of how passionate he felt about doing the work. His crew arrived early each day and worked their magic. During the whole process Jr. kept us in the loop and even double checked things to make sure they were the right materials. I recently moved to the area and am trying to hire local professionals for maintenance projects around my (new to me) 1970's home. Landscaping is always one of those things that one thinks should be simple enough until you are tasked with buying the equipment and/or doing the work. Daunted by the mess my backyard had become after no maintenance for over two months, I looked at the 20+ trees and overgrown lawn and logged onto Yelp. I typed in local landscapers and perused the reviews. "Promise delivered.." and "Honest rates.." to quote a few. I dialed Jr. and as luck would have it we were able to make an appt. for the following day for a quote. We discussed the job and agreed upon a reasonable rate. He was scheduled to perform the work the following day. I had an appt. and asked my brother to be onsite to give Jr. access. I didn't hire this company but my neighbors did. Today while completing their service, I caught them blowing leaves and dirt directly towards our driveway/yard and in front of our driveway. I can understand if some debris makes it over but this just looked so intentional. This is so unprofessional and they do not even appear to do that great of a job. We have a shared grass area in between our driveways and they never touch that side when you can clearly tell half of it belongs to our neighbors. We have noticed this for some time now but just caught the leave/dirt issue today. I will be reviewing my cameras going forward and will be keeping track of this behavior. Jr did an amazing job and price was reasonable! We were needing the weeds killed removed and grass of what was even existing, mowed. We just needed a clean up as you can see from the pics below. Our fence boards fell from the winds and neighbor's dogs constantly running into it and Jr fixed it for us. Very knowledgeable about landscaping that he gave us ideas for our backyard also. Jr. just finished our backyard today. Called him and one other landscape co based on the reviews on Yelp. The other person flaked and never showed up for the scheduled appointment. From the first phone call to finishing the project today, we have been so happy with him and his crew. These guys are FAST! And everything looks great. My husband contacted them and 4 other companies looking for quotes for a yard overhaul that we got in over our heads with. Not only was their pricing reasonable, but JR was thorough from start to finish with communication about what we wanted, what he would recommend, and where they were at in the process. He came out to go over the project on a Sunday, started work the following Wednesday, and finished everything we asked for plus some extra today (Saturday) with one day not coming out at all. Jr worked with 2 other men to remove rock and general debris, roto-till, remove old sprinkler pipes and lay new lines, remove tree roots, and laid down sod AND set up a timer for the sprinkler system of a 1500sq ft yard. He plans to come back and do more weed removal for us, as well has check on the new lawn every few days for the first couple weeks to make sure we're happy and it's taking nicely. Additionally, he will be back to do the first cut and give it a final once over in a month when it's due for it's first hair cut. Very pleased with his work and communication. Junior returned my initial request for yard cleaning very quickly. When I wanted to hire him to come on a weekly basis to weed and replant dead plants, he stopped returning my calls. Can't say enough great things about JR's Landscaping!! This guy deserves 10 stars! Our yard (front and back) was like a complete jungle with dead trees/plants and weeds everywhere. We were getting fined weekly by HOA and I had struggled for weeks to find a landscaper that would commit to the job and also do it at a fair price. I messaged JR on yelp and he responded to my inquiry immediately. Came out to give us a fair quote and was able to start the job two weeks after. My boyfriend and I worked during the day and were unable to be home while the work was being completed but JR was able to communicate with us via text/phone every step of the way. He removed all of our dead plants/weeds, placed down new sod/rocks/plants, repaired our sprinkler system, completely cleaned up our front yard and back yard and hauled away all of our junk. I didn't even see him once during the job and he has completely transformed our yard in 3 days.
