We now have the most improved yard in the neighborhood, thanks to True Nature! From our first meeting, my husband and I knew we were in good hands. Roberto was punctual to our appointment, took his time listening to our requests, and provided his suggestions as a 35-year veteran of the landscaping industry. While his estimate was higher than others we received, we chose True Nature because not only were we eager to work with Roberto, we were also very impressed with True Nature's perfect record of 5-star yelp reviews from customers who have used their services. They are also licensed and insured, which gave us peace of mind had things not gone as planned. A contract was drawn up, and work started without delay. In addition to replacing our side gate and attached fence, we asked for turf to replace the rocks in our yard and to have the other side of the driveway cemented (see pictures). Roberto suggested the addition of a walkway and instead of cementing, to move our existing rocks to the other side of the driveway. We are so glad we took his recommendation. His design is certainly better--more appealing and memorable. He absolutely delivered on his promise of a beautiful, low-maintenance, and drought-resistant yard. It took about a week and a half for the work to be completed. True Nature ticked every box: great communication, excellent customer service, and outstanding quality of work. True Nature's crew are some of the nicest, hardest-working folks we've had the pleasure of meeting. Very dependable, great attitude, and they cleaned up after every work day. These guys take pride in their work, and it shows. We would have been completely satisfied and happy had things ended there. But no, True Nature went well above and beyond the scope of work detailed in the contract. So although their estimate was higher than others, they also did A LOT of unexpected work. This included fixing up the perimeter of the lawn: pulling out unwanted plants, trimming the ones left, laying down landscape fabric and adding rocks all around. When our turf of choice wouldn't be available for another four weeks, Roberto upgraded us to a more premium turf at no extra charge. He had his crew extend our drains closer to the sidewalk when my husband voiced a concern about them not working properly. The problem, Roberto identified, was a leak in our old sprinkler system that he later capped. When all is said and done, we feel like we got more than what we paid for--which is very rare nowadays. We've never worked with a more generous company! They really took care of us like family. We can't wait to have them come back to tackle our backyard. Thank you again, Roberto and team! This is a five-star review. I recently hired True Nature Landscape (TNL) to pour concrete (no color, no stamp, broom finish) in our front yard, expanding our patio and adding a sidewalk. We first met Roberto (Rob) after he finished a job in our neighborhood and offered to show us the work he and his team did. We were impressed by the design and quality of work, but even more so in his approach. He was very personable and was generous about his knowledge and expertise by giving us some advice on vetting different landscaping companies when we were ready to get our own landscaping project done. Roughly a year after we met Rob, we were finally ready to get our own backyard done. He left such a great impression on us that he was the first one we reached out to for a quote. He came out to meet us the same day we reached out. His presentation was great and we just had a good feeling about him and about what he shared with us regarding his company, details on how they do things. He sent us a detailed quote, fully itemized, presented in a professional manner (we've seen quotes before that were one page, handwritten and not so professional). Long story short, we decided on Rob and True Nature Landscape without seeking out other quotes or bids. From what we've seen from neighbors in terms of cost and quality in comparison to what we were quoted, Rob wasn't the cheapest to be honest. But we knew we were comfortable in paying a premium knowing that we are getting the best quality in materials and service, plus peace of mind with knowing we were signing up with a company that is truly and fully licensed, insured and offered some guarantees that no one else in the industry offered. Not only did Rob think about us his clients, but also our neighbors to make sure that we're being a good neighbor in the process. Rob did everything he said that he and his crew would do.. and a whole lot more! He delivered on his word that not only will they do a quality job that we would be happy with, but he went way way way above and beyond to surprise us with additional items we didn't even ask for! There were some hiccups during the project, and Rob was not only quick to react to make sure things continue to progress. They had laid drip irrigation, planted plants and laid new sod down. There was no access to the irrigation controller that was attached to the home (HOA controlled). Weather was extremely hot so he knew the plants and grass would be in jeopardy if not watered properly and sufficiently. He set up a temporary sprinkler system and came every day to check on the plants and grass to make sure they were sufficiently watered and thriving through the hot weather. We eventually had to purchase a new irrigation controller since we couldn't access the one on the home. He didn't have to do all that, but he did! And he did it willingly with a smile. We bought a new build and the backyard was nothing but dirt. Called True Nature Landscape after finding their number on the CSLB website. Roberto was able to come out to our new house and we told him what we had in mind. He made multiple suggestions to really help bring the backyard together as well as a few suggestions as well to help with keeping costs low. He sent the estimate over to us later that evening and he had everything broken down, and with explanations on what they're going to do. I don't like talking to underlings or being "handed off" to a "representative". Roberto is the owner and is responsible for everything. You get to talk to the big boss and he's really responsive! For real.... like minutes later you get an answer. That's something that needs to be flagged because most businesses don't do that. What do you want to know? What's important to you? - Quality of workmanship? YES! without a doubt, this place is awesome. Whatever job you want them to do, they'll make it look awesome. That's not even a question. NOTE: You'll pay for it. This is NOT the cheapest place on the block, but you'll get what you paid for and more. Long lasting CRAFTMANSHIP! I see my neighbor's yards getting worked on and they are a joke compared to mine, which looks like it was taken out of a magazine. -----6 sac concrete! OMG! Roberto can't stop pointing to the contract if his life depended on it. Want to change something small? wait... not even... Did a small request come to mind like "don't make too much noise while baby is asleep?" ... sorry... Contract says that they need to make the noise! basically... everything revolves around the letter of the law (the contact). If something deviates from it... it'll be hell to pay.... but after Roberto fulfills his obligations, he deviates from his contract and does MORE anyway... thus confusing the S*** out of his customers. Anyway..... it's a quirk to work around, but if you're able to cope, you'll be happy you did. Just read the contact because Roberto will keep pointing to it as if it was the end-all-be-all of existence... until it doesn't suite him and he does MORE (again... weird... but it's nice.) - White guy? No! Roberto is one of the few non-white contractors in the area. It's not a race-thing... but it's worth mentioning. Is he Mexican? NO!!!! He's not white either. He's ETHNIC MAN! *cue music*. AMAZING SERVICE AND EXPERTISE FROM START TO FINISH. Roberto is your man!!! We are first time new home owners and had NO experience with contractors. It was overwhelming and intimidating at first since we didn't know where to start. Our backyard was completely dirt since our we had a new build construction home. We had our son's birthday coming up and wanted add concrete to utilize the space in our backyard to host the party... but only had a 3 week time frame. We were very wary of scams and did not want to take a chance with an unlicensed individual. I called 4-5 contractors to ask for quotes. He sat down with us and gave us advice on what to be cautious about (even told us that some "contractors" will pose to be licensed and will show you a stolen number on their business card! So you always want to ask for a "pocket license" and validate it online.) Roberto was not pushy and was all ears. He gave us multiple estimates so we could compare prices of different materials. The contract listed everything down to a T and clearly broke down each material and costs of the project. He was flexible and made our satisfaction a priority. He uses 6 SACKS of concrete per square cubic yard. For the base rock, he does not skimp out. He uses a specialize gravel material at least 2 inches thick (not recycled concrete) and rebar. This ensures the concrete will crack or sag. He will make sure that the plan follows city codes and regulations. Be aware that he will not the cheapest option! However, you get what you pay for! The company does offer financing. During the construction, Roberto and his entire crew were professional and respectful of our property. They even went to our neighbors, introduced themselves and gave notice that they will be doing construction. They set up cones around all their equipment for safety. We were estimated 5 days of construction to finish the project, but rain delayed completion. Regardless, Roberto kept to his promise to have the project done by my son's birthday.. even finished a few days early. I am obviously very thankful to have chosen to work with Roberto. We are so happy with the whole process and that it went smoothly. The concrete is beautiful. Seriously, he has a passion for landscaping. He went to school for it and credentials to prove it. This man has a natural talent and knows what his is doing. If you have no idea how to design your backyard, it won't turn out boring as he does have an artistic flare to his designs. Our concrete looks like it came from a magazine. We received so any compliments at the party! After the project he checked in to see if everything was still going well. We did talk about other possible additions to the backyard and an irrigation system. He will offer the best quality materials and cost effective solutions. We cannot find any more good words for him. We saw True Nature Landscaping work done in our neighborhood and liked what we saw, so we gave them a call! Roberto was out within 24 hours. We chatted about what we would like to see in a new front yard landscape. He drew up a plan, along with a quote, within a few days.
