We have a few Indian restaurants in southern New Hampshire and few are as consistent as India Palace. Whenever I visit, I know that I will have a great meal. Though I am finally learning that when we visit for a meal, we should always SHARE an entree instead of having one of our own. There is lots of space with enough tables to feed multiple large groups. And the servers are always extremely helpful and proactive. I love trying new things by asking them for their recommendations. So far I have not been lead astray. And be certain to take your leftovers home with you! They're just as good, if not better the following day! And if you love spice, ask for your food for as spicy as they do it at home.

Creamy, perfect texture, medium spice level that said "hello" w/out choosing violence. The kabobs didn't look appetizing to me, and appeared tough to chew and cut, but no verbal complaints from my better half (shrug). My only disappointment: I was so busy living in the moment (and inhaling my food) that I forgot to take photos of the entrées. Not en "elite" move, IK! Consistently good Indian food!…read more I have been to a number of Indian joints in New Hampshire and Taj India is one of the ones that I have been back to multiple times. The staff are friendly, they are quick to take your order, ask if you need additional items, ASK how your meal has been, and offer dessert at the end of the meal. These may be common things expected at a restaurant, but you see this a lot less frequently these days. They are in a great location in downtown Manchester and have plenty of seating. I have have eaten in every time except one time when I had a friend bring me take-out while I was sick with COVID. The meal traveled extremely well and if I was in a bind, I'd certainly opt for take-out again. I have not experienced the lunch buffet, every time I visit, it is after buffet hours. However, I do hope to try it some time soon. I haven't been disappointed by anything lately, the biggest complaint that I had was when a Samosa had a cool core, but I do understand that some food has to be prepared in advance and I'd rather have a cool center than an overcooked exterior.

Each dish came out one at a time, 15-20 minutes apart. After each dish, I asked if the rest was coming together. They kept saying yes. By the third time, I explained what we wanted again and they again said the rest was coming out together. Nope. I told the waitress that we were disappointed with what was happening and asked if she can bring the final dishes together. She said yes. Nope. My boyfriend got the meal he ordered last, approx. 1.5 hours after we got there. It was luke warm. The food was mediocre (at best). They hardly checked on us, we kept having to ask for drinks. We just wanted to leave and it took a long time to get the check. We were there almost 2 hours in total. The chicken chilli came with sesame seeds on it. I've never seen that before and it wasn't in the listed ingredients. I have an allergy to it, my bad for not declaring it but if they are going to list the ingredients, I wish they listed all of them. I've only tipped service less than 20% in my entire life, even for bad service, on principle. I tipped 15% here and as I walked out, I felt like that was too much. Some of the worst service I've had.
