Our waitress was pleasant and prompt throughout our dinner. On our first visit my co-diner ordered the fried scallops, and thought they were very tasty. So, on this visit we ordered: * 2 - Fried Scallop Baskets (one with regular fries, the other with sweet potato fries) * Chicken Wings Side with BBQ Sauce Our order arrived quite quickly, and I immediately sampled a sweet potato fry. Tasty! Hot, crispy, and nicely cooked. The same could be said for the regular fries. It's unfortunate so many restaurants are French fried challenged, with fries that are served too cool and limp. Kudos to Juicy Seafood for great fries. The scallops were also tasty, with or without the bread crumbs (which come off very easily). They were fresh tasting, very hot and very juicy. However, the chicken wings were not good, they were overcooked, overloaded with sauce and difficult to eat. I wouldn't recommend those. Overall, we were happy with our dinner and would be delighted to return.

The pork ribs were yummy. No sauce needed! The beef brisket was very lean and tasty. I did add some sauce to that, which was also good. The beef rib (special of the day) was huge and flavorful. My girlfriend took most of it home after she got full. The sides were all good. At first I thought a vegetarian could make a meal of the sides, but then I realized the German potato salad had bacon in it. I also had the cucumber salad. We also had the mac' n' cheese, and coleslaw. Aside from the delicious meats is the amazing corn bread. Eating pretty much any New England cornbread is like trying to swallow a fist full of sand. Theirs was like a moist cake! No butter needed. It's the real thing!

I consider myself somewhat of a pit master when it comes to brisket, so my standards are high. After eating here, all hope of finding anything better has pretty much disappeared. This is, hands down, the best brisket I've ever had. The texture was absolutely perfect, and the bark was unreal. I honestly wanted to ask the pitmaster to reveal the secrets behind it. The collard greens were another standout. I actually asked if they were good before ordering because great collards are hard to find. The best I'd had before were in Fort Myers back in March, and nothing since had come close--until now. These were another easy 10/10 and, once again, the best I've had. The sausage was very good, but it's almost unfair to compare anything to that incredible brisket. The cowboy beans were also delicious. The hush puppies just weren't my personal favorite, but when everything else is this exceptional, that's a minor detail. The corn bread was also incredible, almost didn't get to try it before I finished writing this! So run, don't walk, to Purple Pig BBQ. I'll absolutely be making a special trip back just to eat here again. Outstanding job, Purple Pig BBQ!

It's the kind of place where you immediately feel relaxed but still excited for the meal ahead. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. As for the food, I ordered the quarter pound lobster roll, and it was absolutely outstanding. The lobster was fresh, tender, and generously portioned, with flavors that were rich yet beautifully balanced. Every bite was satisfying. Overall, this restaurant delivers on all fronts: atmosphere, service, and quality. I'd happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal!

We've always had really pleasant waitstaff each time too. Now that we live farther away we will struggle to find a dish that measures up to the seafood sautee. We couldn't help but order that dish almost every time we visited, it's so good. The apps are great too, my favorite is the goat cheese crostini -- the flavor combinations were so unique and delicious. My fiancé always enjoyed the oysters. Their bisque soup specials are great too, super creamy and flavorful. The cocktails had wonderful flavor, and our waiters always gave solid advice on what white wines would pair well with our seafood orders. Anytime we are back in the area we will have to prioritize a stop at The Sole, I miss that sautee!

Upon walking inside, you'll immediately feel like you've gone back in time. It gives off a very classic, old-fashioned diner feel, with booth seating and red stools along the counter. Important to note that this place is cash only. Lobster and other seafoods are advertised as their specialty both online and within the restaurant. I never had a lobster roll before, and unfortunately, this place made me think lobster rolls were mediocre and overrated (and then I had my life changed by lobster rolls from other places). FOOD: Lobster Roll (6 oz.) (2.75/5) - I opted for mine to be served warm with butter. It came with a side of slaw and very generous portion of onion rings and fries. The lobster roll itself was lukewarm and the melted butter came on the side in a small plastic cup. (I was expecting for the butter to be more incorporated.) The lobster sat on a small bed of cut lettuce. The lettuce wasn't of the freshest quality as some pieces tasted strangely bitter. The lobster was a tad rubbery, and everything was overall bland to me. I found myself reaching for the salt shaker more than would have wanted to. SERVICE: I believe a new hire was getting trained during my visit, so it was a bit clumsy. However, I found it rather charming. They are all very warm people, and you can tell that this is a family owned establishment, which is why I really wanted to like this place. TLDR// Unfortunately, did not have the greatest first lobster roll experience here. Hopefully, I went on an off day or I was better off ordering something else.
