We loved the TKK in the South Shore MA and were glad to see an option that wasn't as far for us. We are a family of 4 with two adults and two young elementary age children. The 8 piece family meal with three sides and biscuits was the right amount of food for us. We ate and ordered on site. There was a little bit of wait but it seemed as if the chicken was being freshly fried as it was steeping hot! We also added a drink(it was a dollar off if part of the family meal). We got original chicken(so it wouldn't be too spicy), mashed potatoes covered in beef gravy(very flavorful!), curly fries, and charred corn. I think next time I'll grab a cole slaw as the food starts to get a little heavy(I guess though, I walked in expecting it to be!) The drink menu was a little overwhelming and kind of hard to figure out which drinks had no caffeine for the kids. I think for the next time I'll look ahead to the menu to get a better idea. I'm kind of bummed the duo with TKK Fried Chicken and Kung Fu Tea missed the mark for me. I've never tried TKK before but I noticed they've been popping up all over. Both can be ordered at the same cashier. The interior is spacious, great for social distancing when waiting for food. And no dine-in option yet. Spicy Chicken Drum & Wing- I'll admit, it is crispy, the meat is juicy and tender. Spicy level was okay. However, the seasoning they used with the spice wasn't good. They are sitting right below KFC in my book, which isn't saying much since I'm not a fan of chains. Kwa Kwa Bao- Fried chicken skin, sticky rice, shiitake mushroom, sauteed pork. The way this was described sounded good, it's chicken skin stuffed with goodies but again, it had a strange seasoning that made this taste horrible. Overall Service: Besides not being able to hear the cashier as I mention in my Kung Fu Tea review, I noticed at one point the food service worker was up in front goofing off, catching a spider or dust in the air and throwing it around as staff runs off like giddy little kids. I was super excited when we randomly spotted the TKK sign! I've wanted to try this part of Kung Fu Tea for a long time but there are none close by and the few times I've seen one in Boston and NYC the line has just been too much to handle (I really dislike chaotic lines). This location is so nice! I loved the decor and they have such pleasant staff. We ordered a variety to see what we liked. Fried cheese curds, a honey milk tea and then the meal that had the regular spice piece of Korean chicken and something called Kwa Kwa Bao which looked like a baked potato but contained chicken and rice. The wait time wasn't bad as they were fairly busy and everyone was ordering chicken. I saw them making fresh batches of everything as you could see into the kitchen which made me happy - not getting a bao left under a heat lamp for twenty minutes but instead freshly made. The food was awesome! I even loved the honey mustard and I am so not a mustard person. The fried cheese curds were the star for me. I don't think I shared with the other human or the dog. Mine, all mine. The Kwa Kwa Bao was interesting. I loved the texture and the rice and chicken had a very nice flavor. The chicken was good too - just a little spicy (as expected) as we went with original (you could get mild or spicier). A bit messy but obviously that's also to be expected and they gave us a ton of napkins. We enjoyed this so much we've already planned to return next Saturday! read more

I used to like this place. I wouldn't recommend going after 7. We called in an order and I paid when I arrived. We asked for the sauce on the side and I was charged for it (fine). The cashier "meh" to talk to and had AirPods in her ears. After waiting quite a long time for our food someone else finally realized I was waiting for something annnnd my food had been sitting there waiting. It was hastily tossed in a bag and I never received the sauce I paid for. What. The. Heck. I would not have written this review if I had received my sauce. Dude, I love fried chicken. When my wife said a fried chicken place was going into the ratty old strip mall near my house, I was all, "Hell yeah!" We happened to be driving by on our way to get burritos when we noticed the lights were finally on in TKK. So we made a quick detour, and sure enough they were open. The guy out front said it was their soft opening. I didn't know that this is actually a chain restaurant until I googled it, but walking in the place seems super nice and polished. It definitely looks like a chain, but in a good way. We decided we would eat there. I'm not really one for bubble tea, but their menu is half tea, half chicken. I ordered a grapefruit yogurt thing, and a 3 piece spicy chicken, their crispy cheese curds, and the curly fries. My wife got a 3 piece with the charred corn. There were hits and misses, but WAY more hits. Misses first. For instance, I think only one of my chicken pieces was spicy, and the other two mild, because one of the pieces was significantly spicier than the other two. Was pretty unimpressed with the spice on my first two pieces, then *WHAM* socked in the mouth with heat. It still could have been a tad spicier for me, but it was still super flavorful. One of the pieces was also kinda soggy by the time I got it. Additionally, the cheese curds didn't spend quite enough time in the fryer. They were pale as hell, and not quite what I was hoping for. Hits. The chicken is full blown awesome. Most unique around. The grapefruit yogurt drink tasted like a grapefruit creamsicle, if that makes sense. Its amazing. Curly fries are...I mean, they're curly fries. They taste good. The sauces are crazy good. They taste like what they say they are. Honey garlic? Ton of garlic and some honey. Mango habanero? Mango and habanero, although not quite so spicy as I hoped. This place isn't really even open until tomorrow. I'm gonna come back in a week or so, once the details are ironed out, because holy hell is the food delicious, and it's nothing like any of the fried chicken you'll get around here. We got the 4 piece spicy wings and 2 piece spicy chicken combo with cheese curds.Placed our order at 1:58 and Got our food at pick up time 2:19..which was about 22 mins. We also got honey garlic sauce and I enjoyed it. Our food was ready when I walked in and piping hot when we opened it to eat in the car. The 4 piece spicy chicken was yummy, crunchy, and I really liked the spicy oil tossed on the wings. The 2 piece chicken was good. Spicy marinade and tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. We loved the cheese curds.Must get! Staff was friendly. I don't know maybe they straightened up after reading some of these reviews.lols Price is definitely a little higher because of their quality and method but we liked it. Their chicken is super amazing, especially the spicy flavor. Really crispy on the outside and tender/juicy on the inside. However, they take forever to make the chicken. It's always at least a good 30-40 minute wait and it seems they are never prepared with the chicken. Maybe thats why it always tastes so good though? We have always ordered drinks here, so no surprise there. I get my boba tea fix from here or Gong Cha. Milk Tea - my go to 5/5. I always get no topping with less ice and 30 sugar. Pretty standard, and can't go wrong. Rose Milk Tea - tried it once with 50 sugar based on cashier recommendation. Wasn't a huge fan 3/5. Thought the rose flavoring was too strong. I'll try 30 sugar next time. Cappuccino - hubby gets it, so can't comment much. Said he likes how there's a bit of spice? to it. Matches the fall season (I'm guessing it has a cinnamon taste to it). Coffee - hubby's go to. We ordered food here for the first time. A bit on the pricier end considering it is fast-food chicken, but food was decent. Nothing out of the ordinary. Pretty on par with Chick-fil-A and Cane's, but better than popeyes or MacDonald's. Ordered chicken and tender combos with corn and slaw. They were all decent, not overly flavored or bland. This review is just for the bubble tea and atmosphere, I haven't had the food here. But I have had bubble tea here 3 days in a row because I can't stay away! This place has the best boba I've ever had, they must be steeped in honey or something and are absolute perfection. The other day I came and did some work with the WiFi and convenient power outlets. I was looking forward to trying out TKK chicken and Kung Fu Tea. Got there and the place was very clean, but empty. Thought I would be able to get my food quickly. WRONG! Ordered my food and drinks. Drinks were done in 5 minutes, but the chicken took forever, maybe 30 minutes. They even charged me a quarter for dipping sauce, what's up with that? Geesh they should give the first one out for free. Anyways got my order without an apology for the long wait and headed back home. When I took out the bucket of chicken, the bottom had some oil droplets and stained my shirt. To top that off, they didn't include my mashed potatoes. I was livid. Horribly long wait time!! Me and my friend ordered a 3 piece chicken combo and we were the only ones in the restaurant. I understand they have online orders but it was still so unacceptably long for them to get our orders done! It literally took 25 minutes and they didn't have anywhere to sit so we were just standing there waiting. The milk tea was good and quick but if you're planning to get food make sure to order ahead of time. I can't even imagine if this place were to have a mid day rush, I feel like this place will fail miserably if they don't get their wait time down. Have been to TKK/Kung Fu Tea several times and have always left happy. Their tea is delicious and the chickens unique flavor is wonderful. Okay. Let's start off with the ordering process. Painfully long and still didn't get the order right. Had to repeat multiple times. Now, after an extremely long wait (mind you there was no one else ordering) the order was finally ready. It was a to-go order. We ordered two combo orders, one 3 piece chicken w/biscuit and coleslaw and the other a kwa kwa bao and 1 piece chicken and curly fries. Let me first say that everything was barely warm. The curly fries were fairly tasteless and cool. I'm sure they are from frozen. The coleslaw was totally tasteless. No flavor at all. The biscuit...who likes a cool biscuit? Not me and no butter either. The Kwa Kwa Bao was interesting and alright although not hot. Now on to the star...the chicken! What shall I say? How about...NOT GOOD. Or perhaps HORRIBLE! One of the pieces was non-descript but turned out to be I think a breast. Oh before I forget..all the pieces were small for the big price. The chicken had an odd taste and appearance and was very dry. I really had to force myself to eat it but could not finish. I would say gross pretty much covers it. Will never be back. Expensive and totally not worth it. Too bad because we need more good chicken places but for now KFC is still the best in the area. read more
