We were apprehensive when we saw the dreaded words, "Under New Management" but we decided to give it a chance, as the online menu had a good variety. Service: clearly she was very new, couldn't hear her name as she was so quiet. Likely just because she was new/nervous. We've all been there. Also clearly unfamiliar with the menu, but no big deal, that will come with time. Hubs asked another patron how the pizza was, he said "dry, ask for extra sauce." Hubs and I shared an appetizer (stuffed mushroom caps) which took a long time to arrive. They were fine but not great. Entrees of Oven-roasted Lamb, and Calamari Dinner. Portions were large, dishes were fine but not great. Greek potatoes had no flavour to speak of, so I asked for and received some lemon, which I squeezed onto my potatoes. I've ordered numerous meals, both pizza and pasta, from Aaron's, and each time I've been nothing but satisfied. This last time around I ordered a "Chicken Alfredo" pizza. This was ordered and delivered via UberEats. The pizza arrived, as expected, from the courier and we brought it inside to have for dinner. The pizza was hot, the cheese was melty, the sauce and ingredients were fresh and mushroom pieces were quality. Nothing tasted bland or boring, but rather tasty fire, so we went back for more. The combination of salty cheese, with creamy, buttery alfredo sauce, topped with some quality mushroom pieces and chicken chunks? And salty bacon bites? This was a great menu option packed with flavour and flair. In past I've ordered their "works", with shrimp and pepperoni and veg, and it's been fire too. I've also had one or two of their pasta dinners. This time around was my diner guests first time having from Aaron's, and they noted it down for ordering themselves for next pizza night dinner. The only thing I don't enjoy truly is the price; compared to other establishments it's a bit high, but they have a wide selection of options including fried zucchini, pastas, pizza, chicken tenders, and more, with quality ingredients, that taste certifiably homemade, so I suppose it's somewhat justified. On one of the recent heat waves of season (and coincidentally Mother's Day), my husband and I decided to use a local coupon and try out Aaron's Restaurant, located just off the main strip in the Cloverdale neighbourhood of Surrey. It was late in the day for lunch, so we parked right in front of the restaurant and saw a group of women enjoying lunch and the warm weather. We opted to sit inside and enjoy the AC. The interior of the restaurant is a small split level establishment, and looked newly renovated. There was a very cool jet black fake rock façade we sat beside. It looked like there was only one waitress serving the entire restaurant. She apologized for the delay in taking our orders, but my husband and I understood. I suspect everyone in the restaurant understood; even the large party of ladies outside helped out by stacking and bringing in their own dishes. My husband had the Calamari Dinner and I ordered the Lamb Souvlaki. It was the standard combo components you would expect: potatoes, rice, Greek salad, bread and (sadly) only one skewer of lamb souvlaki. I wanted more because the lamb was tasty and soft. I'm not sure what kind of recipe the kitchen used for the potatoes and the rice; it seemed like the spices carried a little more of a Middle Eastern flair, versus the potatoes I have eaten at other Greek restaurants. Not bad by any stretch, just a little different. My husband had the same component, with calamari instead. I tried a bite of the calamari. Not bad, but to me it felt like there was more of the fried crust than the squid "meat" in the ring. Verdict: I liked the décor, atmosphere and friendly service. Good solid portions and food, but be prepared it could taste slightly different than other Greek restaurants you may have frequented. Food well let just say my wife was sick after eating here. Don't waste your time, money and/or risk getting food poisoning. Sorry but truth. They don't know what kind of restaurant they want to be Pizza, Pasta, Italian, Greek, Indian. Pick one then reduce your menu and make good food. We ordered the tropical Hawaiian pizza and the sauce was flavourful and they were generous with the cheese. The bacon on top could have been cooked a bit more but I'd be worried it would make the crust even drier than it already was, the crust texture was a bit less doughy and more crumby and wasn't my favourite part of the pizza. read more

I placed an order to be delivered from NYC for my friend's Dad birthday and her sister just passed away a few days earlier. I called several restaurants and none of them accepted my order as I don't live in Canada even after I told them my situation...I just wanted to do something nice for my friend as she and her family are going thru this tough time. Karan was the hero! He took the order, made everything possible, and made sure the food got to my friend's place on time! This small act of kindness means the world to us! Besides- this is my friend family's favorite restaurant. They told me the "cheeseburger pizza" was delicious and a must order! OK. So i have had take out from here several times. In the beginning it was fine. Although the pasta dishes are gloppy and bland. It has just gotten worse. Ordered the mushroom caps. Literally 6 teeny tiny canned mushrooms coverded in burnt sauce ( and when I say burnt.... It was black and stuck to the bottom on the tin). = $5.... Seriously what chef looks at that burnt mess and was like "yup, send it out"... They couldn't answer a simple question about a menu item and gave me the wrong order another time. And finally I placed an order last time well before thier advertised closing time. But I guess they wanted to go home early.... This local restaurant has great take out and eat in food!! Their portions are large, but not too large. They don't skimp on cheese when it comes to pizza and pasta, and the staff is friendly and knowlegeable. The owners are great and are always working in the restaurant. This was our first trip to Aaron's and we'll definitely be back. We made a last minute reservation on a Friday night, and were given the last table in the place (the staff's own table). The restaurant was packed. We had the stuffed mushroom appie. Lots of flavour, lots of cheese. We ordered the Penne with Grilled Chorizo Sausage, Baked Meat Canneloni and the Italian Lasagna. All 3 dishes came hot, large and cheesy. We were extremely full and happy after our meals. The staff was wonderful and the service was great. We'll be back. read more

This was the first place my boyfriend took me when I came out here and we've gone back so many times over the last two years. Food is always great! Their penne with grilled chicken is my favorite, but the souvlaki is really good, too. Not a fan of their pizza, but I don't like Greek pizza in general. My boyfriend's family loves it, though. Ordered delivery the other night and the only good I can say is that the delivery guy was nice and friendly. Otherwise I do not recommend this place, which is so disappointing because the food use to be good. My husband and I both ordered the chicken souvlaki which comes with Greek salad, pita and tzatziki. The Greek salad had way too much dressing and was oddly too sweet. The pita was good but the tzatziki was overpowered with garlic. The chicken souvlaki however was the worst. The chicken had gristle, which made me gag. The rice was so over done it was mushy, and I didn't even try the potato because of the chicken and rice being inedible. Disappointed this time. My schnitzel wasn't very good at all. Sauce was way to runny. Schnitzel was way over cooked. Greek salad not good at all. Very slow at getting our food with not many people in there. Have to say though the 3 people I was with all really enjoyed their dinners so 3 out of 4 isn't that bad. read more

Went there last night , had the Spicy Seafood Penne . It was the best pasta dish i've had in a long time . Being pregnant can make me more picky than usual, so that says something for me . My wife and I went there for the first time last night. The atmosphere was nice and not too loud, even with lots of people there. Our waitress was very personable and really made the experience more enjoyable. She was very busy serving several tables yet still managed to keep us from feeling neglected. The food was really good. We started with an appetizer of bacon wrapped scallops on a bed of rice covered in hollandaise sauce. Delicious. I was impressed that the appetizers didn't cost almost as much as a meal like other restaurants and was a nice portion not so big as to fill me up before for the main course. All the meal prices were quite reasonable. I had the Pork Schnitzel with a cream sauce on spaghetti while my wife had the Cannelloni. We were both very happy with our meal. This place used to be so good but it has gone downhill. Aaron's was our go to family restaurant when I was growing up. The Fuddle Duddle pizza was my usual order but now I will not be returning. After last nights experience it is defiantly my last. The service was awful from the moment order pick up order was placed ( two different people tried to take our order at once and waiting and asking repeatedly how long it would take and what the total was). When I went to pick it up the waitress (one in particular) walked right in front of me and even thought she looked directly at me she went right passed me and ignored me. Not a hello, hi, I'll be right with you. Nothing. The food is barely edible. I guess if it was the end of the world and that's all that was left to sustain life I guess I could choke it down.....barely. Firstly the baked ravioli was not even full in the container. There was NO seasoning to either the ravioli or the sauce, not even salt. The sauce had a gluey texture as if they thickened the sauce with corn starch or something. At first I was annoyed that the pasta order didn't even include garlic bread, I mean who doesn't include a few measly slices of garlic bread, but after tasting the food I'm glad they didn't. It would just be more food to throw in the compost. Horrible aftertaste. The Hawaiian pizza was about as tasty as a thick slice of cardboard. Again I'm not sure if these people are afraid of seasonings but slat should be safe for them to use. The cheese was browned on the outer edge of the pizza but pale in the centre which made it look like a large bullseye target. Seriously the frozen pizza in the freezer is far superior!
