Unfortunately, I have to update my former review of AAP from a 5 star to less than a 1 star. They don't care about making the customer happy and would rather argue with you for 30 minutes - than spend 10 minutes to jet a sink drain that was under warranty. Their solution to open a drain was to jack hammer our kitchen floor and tear out the granite counters and cabinets rather than hydro-jetting the line, which worked in the past. Our response to this ridiculous option was laughable - I guess every house that has drain issues has to completely rebuild the plumbing system. Talking to the office manager about this issue was a total waste of time; she apparently thought all we wanted was a free drain cleaning rather than addressing the problem. Bottom line - we won't have AAP over again and can't recommend them. read more

Called AAP in the fall of 2016 and they came out and completely replaced my water main including hand digging the trench all for a reasonable price and within a reasonable time frame. Fast forward to June 2017, I noticed a spot in my lawn that was a little soupy along that main water line, I called AAP and they sent one of their technicians out within an hour to look at the problem. He immediately said there was a leak along the water main and it was covered by their warranty from the previous work. Within 2 hours he dug up the spot fixed a bad solder connection made sure it wasn't leaking then put all the dirt and grass back like it never happened. Last night my kitchen sink became clogged and after spending about an hour using my $20 Home Depot hand auger I finally gave up and decided to call a professional since I figured I needed a machine auger to clear my sewer line. I called AAP at 8:00 a.m. the next morning and by 10:00 a.m. Ryan was at my house. He gave me a quote and in about 15-20 minutes he had cleared my sewer line. After he was done he began to clean up and while looking under the sink, he noticed some water dripping off the garbage disposal and gave me a quote (parts and labor) to have it replaced. I politely declined since that's a job I could do myself by picking one up at Home Depot. I would give AAP and Ryan 5 stars for service and he is an excellent salesman.....if I wasn't so cheap I would have had him put in a brand new garbage disposal instead of doing it myself. This company OVERCHARGES!! We called them out on Sat because our toilet would not flush even after many times plunging it. We Assumed our line was clogged. They sent a guy named Cesario out and he pulled the toilet and flushed the line only to find out the line wand fine, the toilet was the issue. He gave an estimate of $475 to replace the toilet after we just paid $145 for him to tell us we need a new toilet. We declined the $475 offer and just paid him $145 for what little he did. We bought a new toilet ourselves and called them back out to just install it. I was completely shocked that they charged $375 just to install it!!! WTF? That is an insane amount but since my Dad is a senior citizen, he didn't know any better and paid it. I was so upset when I got home and found out what they charged him. Great company! Fast response time! We had a leak. They came out on very short notice and were able to resolve our issue.

Wanted to fix up the guest bathroom a bit before we had guests coming for a long weekend. We attempted to remove old fixtures ourselves, but they were so heavily corroded and limescaled that we thought we would do more harm than good. Did a quick yelp search and found AAP, who had people staffing the phones 24/7! Called at 10:30pm and had someone scheduled for 8AM following day! I don't like that he was running late, but he had the good sense to call us and be truthful instead of keeping us wondering, which we appreciated. He performed everything we asked, and gave us some advice about how to troubleshoot some other problems for the future. We had excellent service from Carlos and his crew. We initially wanted a water heater replaced and moved (outside) and to replace the shut off valve at the house. Carlos arrived to give estimate and was very thorough in checking everything (another company had also came to give estimate and barely glanced around- other company has also never gotten back to me with the estimate). Okay back to AAP, we decided to repipe the whole house and scheduled it. They arrived on time, and these 5 guys got busy right away in getting this done. I was impressed with their efficiency - they dug out old pipe, cut through walls, crawled under home, pulled old plumbing- replaced with copper and patched, stuccoed, refilled holes all in two days. VERY pleased with results. We plan on replacing our old air conditioner next year - will definitely be calling AAP and asking for Carlos. Would definitely recommend!! read more

Very professional. The dispatcher gave me a 1 hour timeframe. They were early!!! The technician lucas did not even hesitate to go under the house even though it's 150 degrees outside. I used to work for an HVAC company and those guys raised holy hell when they had weekend calls and would dare go in an attic when it's hot. AAP did a major water main repair at my condo complex this weekend and provided stellar service. The plumber assigned to our job, Darren, was prompt, articulate and highly skilled. He came out on a Saturday afternoon after another plumber failed to help us, coordinated with a leak detection service on our behalf and then showed up again bright and early on Sunday to start work so that multiple tenants could have their water service restored as quickly as possible. The job required removing shrubs, trenching, cutting 9" concrete and working around other plumbing/electrical/natural gas. It took a full day but it was done right and easily could have taken another day had we worked with a less-skilled plumber. The best part - the price was great! I can't believe it was just plain luck, because I was with him all the time except for 5 minutes, and the toilet POSITIVELY did not have that 2nd problem BEFORE he worked on it, as I had twice demonstrated to my own satisfaction before he got there, So now I still have a toilet out of commission, and am looking at another repair bill. I've had AAP do repairs before in the past and have always felt that their pricing while a bit high was justified by their expertise. Until yesterday. I had them come out to fix a few leaky valves. I asked about their hourly rate and was told they price by the job. I had the work done knowing that they were a bit high but they were already there. They checked the pressure relief valve and found it to be defective and would not warranty the work inside due to that. It's when I asked about the cost of the PRV repair that has prompted me to write this review. I was given a price of $995 and when I asked why so much was shown a replacement part cost of $668. When I googled the part on my own, I found it for $230, was asked if is it lead free like their part, and it was. Then they lowered their repair price to $530. All credibility with this company is now lost, and I will find another plumber for my future projects. Make sure you double check part pricing on your own before trusting their cost. UPDATE: 5/13/15 12:44PMI received a call from the owner within 10 minutes of the review, who apologized for the misunderstanding, offered to do the repair for the cost of the part today, as well as threw in an additional repair of a hose spigot at no cost. This is customer service at its finest. They just left and I'm again a happy AAP costumer. read more

Sunday morning, main line stoppage smh! Every time sum1 flushed the toilet, it made its way out thru the front yard; not the way I wanted to start my day. Searched thru Yelp and came across AAP who was open. I called and customer service said theyll have sum1 out between 2-4pm (i calld after 1030am). Mike & Drake came out to my condo to check on a possible slab leak. On their initial visit, they confirmed the slab leak and started work that day. They came back the following day and re-routed my hot water line, since the leak was under my neighbor's garage. They were early each time they arrived at my house and were extremely professional, knowledgeable, never made me feel uncomfortable in asking questions and were very clean in leaving the house. After messaging with Stephanie she was disputing my post so I decided to provide more details. Tech showed up and I had other plumbers on site. Apparently they do not do "bidding wars" and said they would come back at a later date and I informed them that was my only day with access to the building. The tech was bothered and said he would not give a quote and per Stephanie she explained they have the right to choose whether or not to quote a project. That being said, he left the appointment and the company did not bid my job simply because they do not do "bidding wars" which is confusing because I didn't know a bidding war was happening but rather getting quotes on a limited schedule. If that is their policy they should state that they will not quote the job if someone is on site rather than sharing that later since they clearly aren't familiar with job walks and must not do much commercial if they are not comfortable with others onsite. read more

Our pipe was leaking under the sink so we called AAP. Saul came out and was extremely helpful! We have an older house and older pipes so it took a lot of time and effort.
