The store I work for had a broken lock that needed to be fixed. We called AAA Locksmith to see if they would be able to come fix it. When we started talking about payment (because we work for a corporation), they told us we were too broke if we needed to bill it to our company and that we probably could not afford them anyway. I called AAA Locksmith to come to home and fix the lock on front door and two other dead-bolts that are keyed the same. After the work was done the locksmith gave me back two keys, I asked where was the third, he said he only had two, I said three, one for each door... We have key in each inside dead-bolt for safety. This when went on for some time with him; finely he reached into his pocket and produced the third key... And said "my bad" and I replied "yes your bad for calling me a liar". Incredibly expensive. I've been locked out of my house once before so I know I got ripped off by this company. $180 for opening a single lock is ludicrous. I was in a hurry to get back to work so I allowed them to proceed. This experience alone would warrant them 3 stars but I knocked off one star for the delay in service. I was quoted 20mins arrival time but it ended up being close to 50mins. I knocked off another star because my expectations overall were not met. I called a locksmith company close to my house that popped up on Google with glowing 5 star reviews (Abbott Locksmith) but ended up getting swindled from what might be a sister company. My tip: avoid both companies and call someone else! read more

I was actually referred to this place by the guy who was working the key copying kiosk at Home Depot since the key that I wanted to be copied was a patented/custom key. At first, the employee at AAA Locksmith was pretty determined, but gave up in trying to find a copy of my key to cut the grooves/notches in. So, he said he would order the stock and I should come back next week. I told him that it would funny he would find the copy after I left and within seconds of that joke he found the copy of my key hanging behind the cutter. The employee was friendly and confident of his work. Tip: if paying by credit card, there is a $10 minimum. If I needed any key to be copied, this would be my go-to place. read more

We wanted a Smart Lock installed on our front door. They had to modify the door to make it work. Mike was very competent, prompt and a pleasure to deal with. I locked my keys in my call and called AAA to help me get them out. There was a discrepancy on the price so I called the manager to help sort it out. She offered me a discount but it was still no where near the price I was first offered. The manager went on a long, yelling, manic rant out religion and God. Expensive and sloppy. I was charged $20 for one copy of a routine automotive key. It took 30 seconds on the machine. I asked casually why so much and was in turn asked if I "wanted it or not?" by the manager in back. The key edges were still sharp when I got home. I had to smooth the edges. Not workmanlike. My boyfriend locked his car keys inside his car and this wonderful couple helps us in the freezing cold. Just got off work exhausted and they helped us! They came right out but the only had to drive 1/4 mile and cut a lock off. The simplest job ever for a locksmith. They charged $125. Not happy. I never dreamed they'd charge this much. I figured it would be $75 for 15 minutes work including drive time. read more

I used, or so it appears, another company that uses the name AAA Locksmith a couple of months ago to reprogram a FOB for a car and it caused the original FOB to no longer work. I called the number I have and received no answer. At 11:45 AM on June 6, 2016, I called this number to inquire if they were the ones who did the work and was treated like dirt. I was told "there is another company called AAA Lock and Bolt, maybe you used them, we don't do that kind of work". I said "on your web site it says that you do" and the lady said "Maybe you did not hear me, there is another company called AAA Lock and Bolt and we don't do mobile FOB service, good luck" - click........... Well, I guess I will not be calling this company back - ever! read more

I normally am not the guy to say "Disregard the low reviews" but...yeah, disregard the low reviews. After trying several different locksmith companies/dealerships in the area that were charging me exorbitant sums or flat-out lying to me about what they were charging, I was about to give up and resign myself to ubering every day to work when I found AAA Locksmith. The lady that answered the phone took me by surprise because she didn't waste time AT ALL, I told her what make and model my car was and I hadn't even finished saying that when she had a rate for me and an estimated time of arrival for the locksmith. Not only was the rate fair (extremely fair, compared to other companies that were just about asking me for my first-born son and a kidney), but Leon (the locksmith) was super friendly and he treated me with the utmost professionalism and respect. You can't ask for better customer service than that. It's never fun to be in a situation where you need a locksmith. But if you happen to find yourself in one, these are the guys you want to deal with. read more

I had the misfortune of calling this company as they were pretty close to my location. Their locksmith Danny Darek came to fix a broken thumb latch on my clients Baldwin Lock. The first question I asked him was instead of repairing this can we get a new repair kit for this and his answer was that there is no repair kit available you will need to replace the whole lock which costs nearly $400.00. So I believed him and let him repair it. They were first charging me $240 ($85 trip charge and $155 repair cost) but when I refused to pay that exorbitant price he forgave me the Trip charge and charged me $155.00 which is pretty high for a 45 minutes job. The repair lasted for one week and I was again left with the option to repair or replace the whole lock. I called Baldwin and they immediately told me that the repair kit is available and that I should be able to find it at Bering's Hardware on Westheimer. I went there and bought the replacement kit for $19.99 which contained all working parts and I did the replacement myself in about an hour. They boast of being in business for 30 years and their locksmith claimed he had 6 years experience and he did not know that Baldwin makes replacement kits? Hard to believe I found out just by calling Baldwin. read more

Went by to get some keys made today because I was told by my boss that our office key had to be duplicated at this specific location for security reasons...as in other places were not allowed to duplicate our key. No problem right...so I asked the gentleman there for six copies and also if these were really security keys that could only be made here. I asked why couldn't another place like Home Depot do them and he replied that they were incompetent and couldn't do it cause the keys probably wouldn't work afterward...same if I had them done at Walmart. He told me that locksmithing is really like art and that it took a special skill to do it. So I replied with my understanding that re-keying a lock or something seems like it would be difficult but to just duplicate a key using a machine doesn't seem like it would be too hard to which he asked me what I did for a living. I told him I was a project manager and he said that he could probably do my job which I chuckled and agreed just to be nice. Immediately following that he simply informed that I couldn't do his job and told me my total. Thanks Richard for that remark...or whatever your name is. But the keys did work when I got back to the office so I guess I got my money's worth. I would recommend this place for getting keys made but don't comment on the difficulty of having it done or you might be made to feel like an idiot. read more

Okay, so I need two locks worked on at my warehouse. So I call these clowns and they say sure sure we send somebody in one hour. Locksmith shows up with an attitude and says he won't do the job because we are breaking some sort of federal law about locks. Hmm, okay then. My warehouse manager calls me to warn me of his attitude. I wait in my office for the locksmith to call me back so I can hear it all first hand. The locksmith explains the details to me but not in a calm professional way of "This is whats wrong and this is how to fix it". It was a more "How could you do this you F*ing Moron" msg he was giving me. This is a new building for us as we just moved in and I explained that I know we have a problem thats why I called him to help us fix it. So he says that in order to meet federal code, the only thing we can have on these doors are deadbolts and that the latches need to come off. I start to ask him to explain since [deadbolts only] means that if the door was unlocked it would literally blow in the wind. He then accuses me of "Micky Mousing" and tells me to shove it. I understand that sometimes people just have bad days but WOW. From the moment I started talking with this person I was being ridiculed until the moment he hung up on me; and all I want is my doors to be fixed. Yes I told him I was willing to pay for him to do the work. This was never about money; he didn't want to do the work. read more

worst company ever i called these guys out back in november they lied and said we'll have someone out there around 2 well 2 came and nobody showed i called back this linda chick tells me he wont make it until 5 wow change the timw without calling so i was like whatever ill wait well 5 came no show up so now im pissed well to add to that they tell me its gonna be 120 for the key then turn around and tell me later o its gonna be 200 wtf sp the next day someone finally shows he programs my new remote where my automatic start button opens my trunk but also my trunk button opens the trunk somethings not right so i been calling and calling and all this linda chick doing is keep lying to me saying ill call yoyback in 30 mins and hangs up in my face she has done this many many many times this company is a fake and i will be send them to small claims for my money and moneg dor my time i miss work because my car won't start because the key has a chip in it read more
