The experience that Brian brought to the table helped us intelligently plan for the job. He asked us good questions about supplies and what our vision for the bathroom was. During the job, Brian and the guys were available on phone, and let us know their eta for arrival and their plan for work to be done each day. Clean. At every step of the process, the guys doing the work were friendly, professional and clean. They laid down plastic and paper before the demolition and vacuumed and cleaned before they left every night. Fast. When they were on site, they were working. The guys doing work had pride in their work and were family men - you could tell that they wanted to do the best job they could and then get home to their families. When the job was done we had to really get close to find any issue with workmanship. We found just a couple of small spots in the grout that needed filling, and Brian fixed it before signing off on the job. We were picky! What we had done: 1974 ranch bathroom redo - replace floor with tile, replace tub, replace vanity, replace toilet, replace tile around shower. Time from start to finish: 4 days Price was very fair. I feel that the money spent was well worth the expertise and workmanship that I received.

We scheduled a service for several days later with an 11 am to noon window. Steve indicated the serviceman would call 30 minutes before arrival. The morning of the service, I sent Steve a text at 10 am to confirm the service and received a positive response. I took off from work and arrived at our home at 11 am. Having heard nothing, I sent a follow-up text at 11:40 am, but Steve did not respond. At 11:50 am I called Steve and he apologized for the delay. He indicated his serviceman, Chris, would call me. Chris called at 11:55 am and indicated he was approx. 25 minutes away. I texted Chris the address and gate code. At 12:30 pm, I called Chris again to check on his status and he indicated he was approx. 20 minutes away. When I questioned his timing, Chris became angry, cancelled my service call, and hung up on me. We will not use or do not recommend Garage Door Dude.

I said wow and that it was only $400 to install but ok and I was sent a canned text message to my phone to send 4 pictures, measurements, and contact info. I sent them everything but didn't hear back until the next day and it was the same canned text verbiage back but they added the email address. So I sent the same thing again to the email address, 6 pictures, measurements and contact info. Crickets and tumble weeds for two days again. So I resent the email and a couple of days later finally the next day, Then finally, I get the same canned message telling me to email them 4 pictures, measurements and contact info. Now I am getting worried that all my training as a CSR at AT&T's U-verse department has gone by the way side. However, I still needed my door fixed and besides they had installed it when I first got it and I knew that they would surely stand by their install. However, they never told me what they weren't getting, me I could not tell what was the problem because it all went through without bouncing back and they would only answer in canned responses and not tell me what I might have forgotten or didn't go through my message. So after checking everything out, all looked well and it had been a week now without a front door, I sent it again. A couple of days later, i get another canned message to send them 4 pictures, measurements and contact info. So I sent it two more times from different email addresses thinking that maybe it's Google's fault. After not hearing again from them, I went back to texting them and explaining that I had not a clue as to what they weren't getting from my emails but that I knew that they were receiving them because I got the same canned messages back twice out of the six time that I sent it to them but they never took the time to tell me what was missing the pictures? measurements? Contact info? or what? So I finally get a personalized message with the following excuses, Excuse one: He texted back that they were on an emergency install. Excuse two: he texted me back to say that they get 40 text messages a day and they just get lost. Excuse three: finally a personalized email comes back saying that he was playing catch up after a family emergency but it would be $500. I don't know if he really had three different excuses but I got three after two weeks of not having a front door. I almost answered his email back to say that I was so very sorry about his family emergency and hope that everything was alright. But a friend stopped me and asked why was I apologizing, I didn't do anything wrong and like she said, at this point it did sounded like a scam. I was willing to pay the $500 estimate for a job that he said he never saw my emails because he lost my text messages, and/or was too busy to acknowledge my emails to explain what was missing because of an emergency install and/or the family emergency. Stick to one excuse and it might have been more believable. So there you have it folks, plenty of excuses and no door after two weeks made me decide that if it was a communication problem before the work started, I figure it was not going to get any better after the work started. So I called Doors Svc of Houston and they had the front door fixed by noon the next day and fixed my patio door handle while they were there too. I got two doors repaired for $300 less than The Door Guys were to fix just the one door.

He had some issues with the older style windows, so it took about three times longer than he had expected. But he got them replaced and they look fantastic. There were also two smaller windows I was not aware of in the front of the house which he took care of also.
