Great experience. We did the farm tour it was very fun and educational. Moses are guide explained everything and was very informative.

Fantastic! We opted for the tour that was about an hour long that took us to a farm. Levi was our tour guide. he was amazing telling us about his family both past and present. He was knowledgeable as well. Our horses Zeke and Ted were fantastic. They peed, farted and pooped in the whole hour we were with them... ha! The buggy is covered but, the elements can still get you. So sunscreen and light clothing in summer and layer up fall-Winter. They do have "plastic" drapes to bring down if it is cold or raining. I highly recommend taking this your. It is something to do and it gives you a mini perspective on the Amish lifestyle and also what it is like as a car zooms past you on the road. Slow down.

Great way to learn about the Amish lifestyle while taking a relaxing ride. We did the hour long tour to the covered bridge. John was our tour guide. He was informative and eager to answer questions about Amish lifestyle. Highly recommend!

I have had two different experiences with AAA Buggy Rides, and both were excellent! On both occasions, I was lucky to have Verna (ex-Amish) as my driver, and she is absolutely the best; friendly, eager to answer questions about the Amish, and informative! When I first relocated to Lancaster, PA from the west coast, my best friend and I went for a 30-minute buggy ride with our kiddos. It was raining, so we were the only passengers, and thankfully, the buggies had plastic coverings so that we wouldn't get cold and wet. Verna answered all of our questions and even cleared up some common misconceptions about the Amish lifestyle. It was a very nice ride along some Amish farms and communities. The second ride, my son and I took his grandma during the summer on a buggy ride that included an Amish farm tour. Verna was again our driver, and we had a nice ride to a local dairy farm that contracts with Horizon Organic milk. We got to pet and meet dairy cows, cuddle some sweet family dogs/puppies, feed baby goats, and buy from the family's little gift stand. AAA Buggy Rides is a family-owned business, and they employ both ex-Amish and Amish folks to drive their buggies and give tours. Every single person I have interacted with seemed genuinely sweet and very accommodating, eager to educate the "English" about the Amish lifestyle. The prices for the rides/tours are very reasonable for the experience, and the horses are very obviously loved. I will definitely bring back all of my west coast friends/family visiting, and I would highly recommend this particular buggy company to locals as well!

I went on the covered bridge ride, and it was a nice, calm, and scenic experience. The route included the back roads of farmlands, riding by one-room Amish schools, and going under a covered bridge. It was really neat seeing soybean and corn fields up close and feeling the breeze from passing cars.

Our family had an amazing time with AAA Buggy Rides. Reuben was absolutely incredible as our guide and was so gracious with all of our questions. If we could rate higher we would- 10/10 recommend!

Decided to go on a buggy ride while visiting the Amish Country and this was conveniently located in Kitchen Kettle Village. We stopped at the visitors center before heading to town and this was one of the places they recommend. They even provided us a coupon for $3.00 off each ride. After looking over the rides offered we went with the 55 minute 5 mile covered bridge route. The cost is $19pp before coupon. We purchased the tickets and were told to return at 3:30pm when the next ride would depart. The carriage held 13 of us including the driver and was enclosed with plastic panels to keep out the cold. Also had comfy cushions on the seat. We had a nice ride around the area except for the crazy people driving passing illegally on the left crossing the double solid lines and the others speeding by on the right shoulder of the road... I'm amazed it didn't startle the horses and possibly injure someone. Some people clearly have no common sense. Anyway besides that the driver was nice and talked about the community and Amish lifestyle and answered any questions that came up. We passed through a covered bridge and he explained some of the history of the bridges as well. After the ride ended we got to get some pictures taken with the horses which was nice. All in all it was a nice experience and worth the money.

My friends and I had a great time on our AAA Buggy Ride! We happened upon their stand in Kitchen Kettle Village and after hanging out with the horses for a while we knew we had to book a ride. This is an experience in Amish Country that really shouldn't be missed. Our wonderful driver who I think was named Jacob but I could just be making that up was absolutely lovely. He was very informative and willing to answer all of our questions no matter how ridiculous. I think Jacob has heard it all! The scenery is beautiful but learning more about this way of life was the highlight of our little tour. This buggy ride is highly recommended to anyone looking to learn a little bit more about this way of life!

I had the best time riding in an Amish horse and buggy. AAA Buggy Rides offers several types of buggy rides through Amish country. I choose the 5 miles ride that takes about an hour. It takes you through beautiful Amish farms and you learn all about the Amish life style. It's a very peaceful ride and only costs $20. Well worth a try. It's great for the entire family. Check it out if you have time.

We took a tour while in town for a couple of days and had a lovely experience with our tour guide…read moreBrian. We had scheduled a tour for 11:00am and arrived promptly at 10:15am in time for the training. Brian was very attentive and assisted both of us with care. We had a relatively small tour circle, as Pennsylvania was expecting a rain storm. We got seated to the scooters right away and we're in a scoot coupe. We paid a total of $226 for a 3 hr coupe tour - which stands a bit pricey. This included the tour, $20 coverage for the coupe, and taxes. Pre coverage & taxes it is about $189. I believe the price of the single scooter stood at about $89 without coverage + taxes. Honestly a bit pricey, but worth to pay every now and then. We began the day by going over the controls of the coupe, which very were easy to follow. Then we took a test drive and went onto the road. Throughout the tour we had made about 4 stops, where we visited Amish farms, and got to sample some treats. We were able to purchase soft pretzels, ice cream, and popcorn. During the stops Brian was very diligent in making sure everyone was comfortable and had enough time to fully enjoy the farms. He was very genuine and sparked up lots of good conversations. During the drive, Brian took initiative in creating both a safe & lively experience. We went all around the fields of the Amish county, and even through some forest areas. The coupes were so-so to drive. The wheel was a bit hard to maneuver, as it slipped from the hands and was hard to keep straight when accelerating. However, it was nice to feel the breeze and the coupe was able to go very fast no problem. Overall we didn't see as much Amish life and animals as we wanted to, but we still got a fair share and got the idea. However, the experience of the tour was significantly enhanced due to Brian's positivity. When scheduling a tour, ask if Brian will be present. If the answer is yes, you will have a great experience!

Lovely perfect ride. Do the Mountain View's tour! And don't leave without buying some Amish cheese.read more

Then I found Turkey Hill Ice cream Experience only 30min away from Lancaster, and decided to visit. We bought the double scoop experience (comes with ice cream test lab) and obviously that was the highlight of the place! The test lab is about 45min experience and the whole thing with self-guided tour takes about 1hr 30min to 2 hours depending how crowded it is. The visit was fun and of course my 5-year-old daughter had a great time eating tons of ice cream!

Admission prices are reasonable, and who doesnt love unlimited samples of iced tea, and lemonade, icecream on a hot day. Vistors have a choice between one scoop, two scoop, or three scoop attraction. I choose one scoop; hilights of my visit- learning history of Turkey Hill, process of icecream being made, creating a virtual icecream flavor, watching the production , live from interactive camera in one of the exhibits. Be sure to take the few moments, to watch the introduction video. My favorite ice cream sample flavors were Graham Slam & Blueberry Lemon Pound Cake. An attraction must, well visiting Lancaster, PA. My recommendation would be too sell a few more flavors that you offer , with unlimited tastings. My favorite was orange icedtea.
