It's a beautiful hotel. However, the soap dispensers in the shower did not work. I don't know if they were empty, or broken. I suspect empty because the tissue box in the bathroom was also empty. The mirror in the bathroom was also streaked and dirty. See photo. The shower lever that toggles between it being a shower and a bath faucet is stuck in the opposition, so that only a shower can be taken. I reported some of these issues to the front desk so they could address them. My sense is that whoever is cleaning the rooms isn't using a checklist. That's the norm at hotels I've stayed at before. The front desk staff is very helpful and professional, and very nice. read more

This is one of my favorite Marriott locations. We stopped in since they allow dogs (for a cleanup fee). We wanted to visit the outlets but we didn't want to leave the dog home. The staff provided our pet with snacks. The room we had was on the ground level with a door to the outside which made walking the dog easy. I was bit afraid to rent a pet friendly room would smell like dog but not a hint. They do an amazing job keeping the room fresh. I'll be back! read more

It's within few min drive to costco, skyzone trampoline park and McDonald's. 10 min to main strip Lincoln Hwy. pro: -we stayed there for 4 days and it was quiet in the hallway. No kids running or yelling in hallway. - free Wifi and free self parking. - not crowded unlike the ones on Lincoln Hwy. nice and quiet. - pool is small but seems like well maintained. Open til 11 pm. Hot whirlpool on the side. - Bistro opens certain time including offer of Starbucks coffee. - breakfast buffet available $14.95 adult and $9.99 kids - very friendly front desk staff and housekeeping staff - 24 hours fitness room - pretty backyard with fire pit. Fire pit was actually lit up at night - cable tv including showtime - no problem with shower. Shampoo/ conditioner and body wash available in pump bottles attached to wall. - microwave and mini fridge and coffee maker on each room. No freezer section. Con: - no complimentary breakfast or coffee at lobby - pool is small. - both beds were very soft, you sink in when you lie down. Too soft. - no cloth line in bathroom. - no safe Overall, it's nice and quiet but within 10 min drive to all the shopping and activities at Lincoln Highway. My kids enjoyed skyzone too. Stayed here a couple of nights for a little R&R. It is in a super location if you want to see the Lancaster area. It's a short drive to all the major attractions. It also has easy access to the interstate highways. It has plenty of free parking. Daniel at the front desk was very helpful in selecting places to eat and things to see. He also was great at checking in, I arrived at the hotel at 8AM and he got me a room . This hotel was converted to100% solar. It has a small fitness center, but has a nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. The room has a nice refrigerator and microwave. The biggest complaint I have is with the in room coffee. The machine is outdated and makes horrible Coffee . On top of that , they only provide dark roast. The other issue is the powered creamers, and the lack of a tea option in your room. All said, if I come back to the area, I would stay here and hope by then they upgrade their coffee machine. read more

Check in was a breeze , nice rooms but the breakfast that is advertised is not included and ridiculously priced. An orange juice is $4 Bacon egg and cheese $7 Even cheap hotels give breakfast with the stay and it doesn't cost . I've never stayed at a place where you have to pay additional money for breakfast. We stayed here as we were in town for a wedding. After we arrived back from the reception, we decided to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The bartender had stepped away for about 10 minutes right before we arrived at about 8 PM. Keisha (sp?) at the front desk was gracious enough to help us out. Her attitude and personality were wonderful. She was friendly and kept checking to make sure we were ok. She also made us buffalo wings. So pleasant to engage with. This place is THE best hotel in Lancaster. I've stayed at many hotels all over the country and this one is comparable, if not surpasses, hotels for twice the money. It was recently renovated and it shows. I keep saying that it has a perfect balance of crisp and cozy. The staff is incredibly accommodating and the hotels features are top notch. The indoor hot tub and pool are excellent and in great condition, the bistro bar has a pretty decent selection of food and an excellent selection of drinks. Each room has streaming services built right into the TV in addition to standard television. I can't stress how great a hotel this is. read more

I stayed here from 11/24/23 until 11/27/23 Staff was excellent, room was clean, hotel was clean, and while there was some litter around the hotel outside, for the most part it looked nice and clean. The bed was comfortable, I wish I had a bath tub. The hotel is solar powered so the lights flickered a few times but never went out. The pool and hot tub were nice, areas were clean and had plenty of towels, my only issue was the chlorine was SO strong that after not even being in the hot tub for hour my eyes were burning, as were my nose and throat, and my throat continued to burn long after I got out that night, after I showered that night, and into the next morning. If I were to stay here again I would not use the pool or hot tub again, which are two major selling points for me, without checking how the strong the chlorine is before I get it to either. The restaurant in the lobby was okay, the food options were boring and I was given an old menu, what I wanted from the menu I was given was only available in the morning. The menu had it on there at night. I used grubhub more. The buffet for breakfast lacked variety, the same thing every day, plain bagels, muffins, fruit and yogurt, apple and orange juice, scrambled eggs, home fries and sausage, no bacon - not even once. They only had Starbucks coffee. If you are a Dunkin Donuts person, sorry, they have one very close by. They also did not have many do not disturb signs, you may want to consider bringing your own as I almost didn't get one. Other than those items, not a bad stay. read more

We checked into Marriot Courtyard Lancaster and were appalled at the service. They didn't leave us enough linens or toiletries. The pullout was not made nor was there sheets or extra pillows. When we called to ask we were questioned and given an attitude. The place was gross. We went down to the hot tub and there was dirt at the bottom. The bubbles were brown. There were no clean towels the place was a mess. We just checked out only an hour later and were given even more of an attitude when we told her she rolled her eyes at us. This is unacceptable. The hotel was disgusting and the employees were rude and nasty and I was 100 percent dissatisfied. We did NOT stay here. We left and went to a much better hotel read more

So if you are looking for a decent place to stay in Lancaster then this will be, imho, satisfactory but not great. The good: 1. It is in Lancaster. 2. It is a reputable brand. 3. It has tasty food options at the Bistro in the lobby. 4. It has a "digital key" option for contact-less check ins and outs. 5. The staff that I encountered (few) were very friendly. 6. On my one night, I heard not one sound...no doors slamming, no people talking, no ice machines, no outside noises. I was truly grateful for that. The less good: 1. The room was not what I requested. I asked for the top floor (5th), away from the elevator and ice machines. I got the fourth floor, one room down from those (It didn't matter after all but if the place were packed and I hadn't been so tired, I might have asked for another room). 2. The room was a bit dated...worn carpet, some mold in the corner of the shower door, an old, low-flow toilet. 3. There were no readily accesible outlets by the bed unless you wanted to move furniture. 4. A small issue...the coffee provided in the room (I know, I'm probably the one one who uses it), was four packets of decaf only. (note: they sell Starbucks coffee in the lobby). 5. My room wasn't super clean: Aside from the aforementioned, the surface behind the TV, which is part of the desk, was exceedingly dusty and hadn't been cleaned in a while and there were a couple of popcorn kernels and some popcorn under the desk along the wall. Someone drew a smiley face in the "grime" around the eye hole on the door...The eyehole was the nose. Housekeeping isn't doing the best job. I'm not a big crank so my summary is, as expected: It's an okay place to overnight, with some areas in need of improvement. I especially like the Bistro for simple but fresh fare. I made arrangements with the hotel a year ago to host an "after-party" for my wedding. This hotel was chosen because it was the only local hotel with a bar. My husband and I spoke with Noah and Trish on MULTIPLE occasions, letting them know our plans and to confirm that the bar will remain open when we return from our reception. This was even confirmed again by both us the week before our wedding. Noah told me that per PA law, the bar will need to be closed by 2 AM but there is a note in our account to stay open. This was the week before my wedding. My husband and I paid for a bus transport for our guest to and from the hotel. Our guests arrived on the bus around 11:00 PM. My husband and I arrived around 11:45 PM. We went to our room to change, then came back to the bar a few minutes after 12:00 AM at which point the bartender told me last call. I told him this is not correct, we had arrangements to stay open. He told me that no one told him that and he was closed. I received an email from Noah a few days later and I told him how angry and upset we were by this and Noah tells me "Per a note left for our general manager from our bartender that night, there were wedding guests that starting drinking liquor and wine out of the bottle around 11PM and only 5 drinks were ordered from him because of this. Our bartender and our company can get into legal trouble if guests are drinking alcohol not purchased from the bar while the bar is open. I did mention that the bar can legally stay open until 2AM but ultimately the bartender has the discretion to close whenever they need to and in this case with wedding guests drinking non purchased drinks, he decided to close the bar early. " This is a lie. The alcohol that was left over from our wedding was in my possession, AT THE VENUE. My mother and mother-in-law were sitting in the lobby and no one had outside alcohol nor was approached about outside alcohol. The bartender made no mention of this, he told me he wasn't told to stay open. There was another event that evening. There is no way of knowing if these guests were even with us. I wasn't physically in the building until 11:45 PM. We were faulted over something that didn't have anything to do with us. We gave this hotel thousands of dollars of business that night and to be treated this way over something we weren't even there for is beyond ridiculous. We will never stay here again. read more

My fiancé and I stayed here last weekend while in Lancaster for a wedding, and I must say I was impressed. It was the block-booked hotel for the wedding guests, so I didn't even look at the website when I booked -- I just called the hotel number on the wedding website. That said, I was just expecting your run of the mill Courtyard. And yes, in many aspects it's a standard Courtyard Marriott, but in some ways, it beats other Courtyard's I've visited. For one, our room was way nicer than expected. We had a standard room with a king bed, couch, and desk but it felt spacious and allowed us to have friends gather in the room before events. Sometimes you feel like you're in a small box in a standard room at a hotel, but this was certainly not one of those times. Two, the lobby was completely welcoming, and even had a fire going the whole time (I'm sure it was an electric fireplace, but who cares! The heat was super cozy). The bar is super small, and located right in the lobby, so our group camped out down there both nights during our visit after the wedding festivities. Speaking of the bar, I felt bad for the poor bartender who was tasked with serving all of us, simply because it didn't seem like they were super prepared for such a large group. But props to him for doing a great job! And on night two, after the actual wedding reception, he had a few additional colleagues helping him out. And finally, the staff was just fantastic. The folks at the front desk were super friendly, helpful, and welcoming, just as you'd hope the first folks with whom you interact at a hotel would be. The housekeeping staff was also so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed (i.e. extra towels in the bathroom, etc). It really just seemed like the staff enjoyed their jobs, and that always makes for a much better overall experience for guests. Oh, and one more note: the location! Now I know this isn't exactly about the hotel itself, but the location was super convenient to downtown Lancaster, to the outlets, and to the church and wedding reception. Granted we took a bus to the wedding events, but it was a very centralized location regardless. We were very comfortable the entire trip and I would recommend anyone to this hotel. We had booked the Courtyard for our Memorial Day weekend wedding a little over a year before our date. We had spoken at length with their events coordinator, who was lovely and prompt responding via email. We got a block at an excellent rate for a holiday weekend and were assured the first floor suite which has access to a patio that leads into the (beautiful) courtyard. Particularly excited about this amenity, we decided to forgo an after party at a local spot or bar and instead do it at the hotel. They assured us that if our guests weren't too rowdy or trying to sneak in their own alcohol, that their bar would stay open late and we could essentially have our after party there. They even would handle the delivery of tons of pizzas for our guests. We were ecstatic, and booked. When we got to the Courtyard for the weekend of our wedding, we encountered a small hiccup. The suite we were promised was already booked by another guest who had been there for some time. We expressed our disappointment, and the courtyard did everything in their power to make it right (eventually even getting us in to the original suite they promised us AND a wedding gift!). They were kind and thoughtful, executed a BEAUTIFUL after party (that saved us a ton of money), and were genuinely concerned that this event was as stress free for us as possible. No it is not the Ritz Carlton or the Four Seasons ... but it is about the best that you can get when you are in Lancaster, Pa ... home of the Pennsylvania Dutch and the Amish. The Courtyard Marriott was recently built and everything is still very new. There is a lovely lobby that houses many tables and sitting areas for you and your group to enjoy. They always have coffee and fresh cookies for the guests. When we had five kids visiting us here ... the cookies came in handy. I am here on the hotel computer writing this. It is great that they have an office area with computers to use anytime for free. I like that. You can use their wireless service for free too. I think every hotel can offer this service and it makes your stay so much better. We were able to print our boarding passes the night before we leave and that is very helpful. We flew to Pennsylvania to spend time with the family for my daughter's birthday celebration. I certainly think is a great idea to get a hotel so you have your own space when visiting family. It is a nice place with a great location. We liked the (very small indoor) pool and hot tub. The hotel serves a decent breakfast with a make-it-yourself waffle bar and eggs to order. I think the staff is very friendly and they really try their hardest to make you comfortable. They do a great job. Megan certainly makes a great "pale" cosmo with Grey Goose, fresh lime and just a little cranberry. That came in handy after a birthday party with eight little ones. I would usually give a hotel like this 3 stars ... but since they are about the best you could get in the area ... and they did give us some free drinks upon our arrival from California ... I think they deserve a little extra. The Lancaster attractions are nearby and the outlet centers are just 3 miles down the highway 30. Overall, I think it is a good find and I get Marriott points for my stay. read more

My bf and I stayed here for an overnight getaway and shopping trip. I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Lobby/Front Desk: Check in was easy, there was a small incidental charge ($30 maybe). The front desk agents were very pleasant. Free Wi-Fi is included but if you plan on using high bandwidth, you have to pay. I was good with the free Wi-Fi. They provided us with bottles of water, which is always appreciated. Facilites:There is pool, gym, bar, and parking is free. Everything was spotless and well maintained. Room: The room was nice! Everything was updated and roomy. I enjoyed the soft décor. The room had a coffee maker and mini fridge. The bed was comfortable. I enjoyed my sleep. Food: I was happy there was a Starbucks on site. Coffee yes. Food no. The food was pricey and you're in Lancaster. Home of farm fresh meals. You could do better. The food choices do not take away from the hotel because the facilities are great. And if you're in a rush, you can grab some cereal or fruit. I would 100% stay here again. If anything, it was the employees that made my stay. They were always pleasant. read more

Had a room block at the Courtyard Lancaster for our wedding in December, and it was really easy to set up and work with this hotel. Once we had several reservations made we were able to secure the shuttle to take our guests to and from the hotels to the venue (Riverdale Manor) for free. They also did a separate shuttle for the bridal party. We reserved a king suite so that the bride and bridesmaids could get ready and it worked out perfectly. The room was surprisingly nice for a courtyard - the entire hotel looks like it was recently renovated. We also spent the night before and the night after the wedding at the lobby bar. Not many others were in the hotel that evening so we basically took up the entire lobby and had a great time mingling with our guests. They even set up a shuttle between the hotels to get people that were staying at the hampton inn back home after a few drinks. Only thing I'd improve would be a quicker response time from the sales person, but otherwise a nice experience. read more

Only stay here when traveling on business because the nearby Hampton is more $ per night. There is nowhere in this hotel to get a free cup of coffee, big deal for a serious coffee drinker. The breakfast buffet is about 12$, same layout as Hampton's free breakfast. The coffee included in the 12$ buffet is horrible. There is the option of the "cafe" breakfast, if you don't mind paying 4$ for a cup of Starbucks coffee and even more for a bowl of oatmeal. Staff is very friendly and professional, grounds and hotel are well kept, rooms are nice as spacious, beds are not as comfortable as most Hampton bedding. read more

Convenient location and even more convenient for meeting clients. Lots of lobby space, a bar, and very good meeting rooms. Beds were very comfortable. Has an indoor pool and a decent little workout room that I took advantage of. Cons - Small old school TV in the room, no flat panels. Breakfast is pricey ($11) and not worth it. We just spent the weekend at the Courtyard by Marriott for the local Hempfield Soccer Tournament. The hotel has been recently renovated and is very comfortable and accommodating for large parties. The lobby area is open and inviting, providing several seating areas for getting together and enjoying a meal together. There is also a small bar area which provides an area for adults wishing to enjoy a cocktail. It's not overwhelming so as to cause families with small children to feel uncomfortable. The computer work area was also very nice and enjoyed by adults and children alike. We arrived late and took the last room, first floor down from the pool area. I'll admit I thought it was going to be a miserable weekend having such close proximity to public areas, however, the front desk staff assured me they make necessary adjustments(it was around 10pm) to provide quiet during sleeping hours. I wasn't expecting a miracle since the entire hotel was full of soccer players and their families, but they did it!! By 10:30 the floor was quiet and we had no problem settling in for the night. The housekeeping staff immediately brought a roll-away for my daughter when we arrived. We had a spill and required new bedding, it was brought to the room immediately with question ; ) Beds were relatively comfy(I like a foam topper so i cant really review a standard mattress)nice and clean bedding, large flat screen tv, wifi, plenty of outlets for charging electronics, closet with hooks!! I love hooks for kids stuff : ) microwave and mini fridge definitely made the stay easier. Bathroom was clean and spacious. In room AC/Heat worked well. The staff was very considerate of the soccer family chaos which rolled in for the weekend!! They kept an eye on the shenanigans without making us feel uncomfortable. They pleasantly made sure things were settled down by a reasonable hour without seeming annoyed by needing to "police" the multitude of children here for the weekend. There is a cafe available, we didn't have breakfast but we did order chicken quesadillas for a late night splurge and the portion size was large, tasted yummy and came with a generous supply of salsa and sourcream : ) I would definitely stay here again. read more

I have to give this company all thumbs up! I am going thru chemo treatments at the Cancer Center of Lancaster. When my Drs office found I was moving back to De, they called around to find me a cheaper hotel rate so I could continue my treatments here. The Courtyard by Marriott, is graciously giving me and my husband the night before my treatment absolutely FREE!!! (It's nice not having to get up really early to drive up here to get my Chemo). The staff recognizes me as I'm walking in and they have my key ready. They always ask how I'm doing and tell me to stay strong. When I get to my room, I find "Thinking of u cards" that are signed by the whole staff, bottles of room temp water (cause I can't do cold things as a side effect of the chemo), and other little things that show they care. I can't say enough about how this company really cares!! read more

I called to the hotel at 11am again yesterday. The staff who pick up the phone asked me the details about my incident. She said the assistant general manager is in today After I explained to her, she transferred me to the same lady's phone again. I left a voicemail. I STILL didn't hear from anyone until 7:30pm. I called again and told another lady Diana about my situtaion. I told her I want to speak to the general manager instead of the assistant general manager. Got a call at 8'nish this morning. The assistant general manager said she got my message yesterday. Yeah. I can't believe it take someone to reply a phone call for 4 damn days! It was my first and last visit there. Never again! Just okay, my 11 year old son actually pointed out three mistakes from the owners posted pictures, no gaming control in room, no balcony, and not two extra chairs as shown in the pictures. Our biggest complaint was the beds are rock hard and all of us were hurting the next day, however the staff was friendly and helpful at all times during our stay , room was clean, and that's why it gets a three star review. read more

As a loyal Marriott customer I can't complain. The newly renovated hotel was quite nice. The only cons were the loud air conditioning unit and still-present hint of cigarette smoke which still lingers despite the complete makeover. This is a great launching point for any Lancaster country excursions! Then when I pressed the guest service button at 7:41 am (all the other buttons on the phone worked so they must have deactivated the guest services button) on the phone it did not work so I had to use my cell to call the front desk for fresh towel. I was told that their staff does not arrive until 9:00am so I would have to come pick up my own towels. For $282 a night they should provide better guest services. read more
