Although it was a Sunday night and a little slow, the restaurant and bar remained open, and I was able to wind down from the long haul with a couple good martinis and an interesting dill brined chicken sandwich that was tender, succulent and very tasty. The martinis were excellent, and I had a wonderful experience chatting with staff from the front desk and the bar. Nothing is perfect, but I'm giving five stars anyway because these poor reviews are not at all indicative of my experience and are more than likely from indignant, critical, detracting people who have an axe to grind. While the hotel was a newer construction, the luggage carts, fixtures, vending machines, and fitness equipment were older and damaged. The common bathrooms very obviously did NOT get cleaned during our two night stay. Housekeeping knocked on the door at 9am both mornings despite having the "do not disturb" sign displayed. Fitness center left much to be desired. I'm giving a 3/5 because I feel like we got what we paid for. There aren't many hotels in the area and frankly, I've stayed at far worse. I will warn that if you are looking at this hotel has been walking distance to the Renaissance fair, you cannot walk across the yard to the Renaissance fair gates, as it looks like on Google Maps. There is highway 76 separating the two. You'd have to walk along Lebanon rd, which is very high traffic. It did take us less than 5min from the time we got in the car at the hotel until we were parked at the fair.

We stayed in the Courtney Room which was on the second floor. It was a small room but it was perfect for us! It was right off a shared living room but lucky for us, no one was in that room! When we arrived "home" later in the evening, there were some fresh homemade chocolate chip cookies waiting for us! We really enjoyed them and even took some up to the room for later! The next morning we woke to find coffee in the living room at 7am. The coffee from Whiff Roasters was to die for! Breakfast was served later in the dining room and it was delicious! There's nothing that annoys me more than B&B operators who feel they have to be so nice and helpful that they smother you. The Lititz House wasn't like this at all. John and Heidi, the owners, made us feel like we were visiting friends, but were very professional and competent at the same time. Not an easy trick to pull off. The rooms were cozy, with bathrooms for all. Keeping in mind this is a 100 year old house, the retrofitting is mostly seamless. A couple of the bathrooms were on the small side, but no smaller than your own house. Breakfast was excellent, and the coffee and juices are a standout. (I know that sounds silly, but they were fantastic)

There was a desk and TV as well. We were in a bit of a time crunch - staying for a wedding with the shuttle and check-in times colliding - and Bridget was able to check us in early! While she couldn't promise early access (I assume this is standard), it was clear that the staff went above and beyond to ensure we could check in and make the shuttle. Everyone was friendly. I thought we were missing towels (despite staring directly at them) and the front desk brought them up within 2 minutes of me calling. My mistake!! But they were so attentive and helpful. Breakfast from 6-10 - your basic suspects - is a nice perk. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend if they needed a room for the night.

The hotel is under renovation, so instead of the lazy contractors cleaning up after themselves, they inconvenience the hotel guests by locking all the doors and elevators to all the other entrances, so you are forced to use the one and only in the lobby and being put in the last room at the end of the hallway, it's a 1/4 mile walk. Fuck you and I am making sure with my travel coordinators that I never come back to this property.

The larger studio with 2 Queen Beds & pull out sofa is very spacious with 4 adults but can accommodate 5. There is a partitioned room /work space from the sleeping area, but no door. There are also two TVs. The other tv is located in the work space/separate sitting area with a pull out sofa, coffee table, & a pull out work table & office chair. There are numerous outlets, however some of the sockets were "loose" the plugs wouldn't stay secure in the outlet. But fortunately we remedied this by using other available outlets near the floor lamps. I was relieved when my friend & I pulled out the sofa bed, because sometimes you never know what kind of "surprise" you might find. The sofa bed was really clean & looked relatively new. My friend reported that the bed was a bit stiff but was fine. The AC unit worked like a charm! I do like the full sized shampoo/conditioner & body wash. It's very convenient. A hair dryer is provided for convenience. I do make it a point to search for hotels with a microwave & mini fridge. It's super helpful for road trips for your bottled water or beverages to keep cold & store leftovers. Water pressure was good, as well as the temperature. The only thing that was disappointing was the every other day housekeeping. Although this is mentioned in their website. There is a CVS within walking distance down the block, and an Exxon a block away on the other side of the hotel. The post office across the street is an Annex, so if you need to mail something off, there is a post office near the Hershey Story Museum, behind the Starbucks area. Although places are within walking distance, the streets are not ,that lead to the restaurants. There is no sidewalk until you reach a far way down. Overall, this is a good choice for a hotel if you want to be "centrally" located to Lancaster & other activities outside Downtown Hershey. It's in an unassuming area that seems out of place, but it's convenient, clean, spacious, includes breakfast, parking is included, has a microwave & mini fridge so it ticks off all the boxes for me. Plus the staff were kind & friendly & the hotel looked fresh & beautiful. The indoor pool is small & only 4 feet deep I believe, so if a pool is a deal breaker, this might be a no go for you. Ps if you want a surface to eat on because you don't feel like dining out & you order take away, you can roll that office table between the two beds & use it as a dining table.

The room felt dark-with decor in particular. Breakfast every morning. Had your typical breakfast- waffle maker waffles, cereal, bagels, eggs, a breakfast meat, yogurt, fruit, juices. They also had coffee that was out 24/7. Has a small indoor pool and a nice exercise room. Hershey Park during summer months have concerts that you can hear from the sound from your room. So if you go to bed early this may be an important factor. Rooms didn't really have a refresh. I was lucky if trash was taken out and we got new towels without asking. Not a bed made once. I miss those days of coming back to a nicely made bed. I guess those days are long gone? Also, the week we were there lots of kids which were running around the lobby like it was a playground. Overall my stay was okay. I might book here again if I was in the area but I would also consider a different spot as well.

The hotel was patient, understanding, and accommodating with our 13 year old boys being boys and the parents sitting by the pool enjoying some beverages. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Not the most comfortable beds or rooms, but certainly not the worst either. Everything worked as it should. The reason the hotel gets three stars instead of four is because, due to the tournament, the hotel required a two night stay and the rate was a little high. If the rate were more reasonable, the hotel would have gotten four stars.
