They offer DMV services. I had recently purchased a car through a private party sale. AAA completed the title transfer for me in a matter of minutes. I was able to pay the taxes and fees using a credit card. I even got a map on my way out. What a smooth and pleasant transaction. Thank you, AAA! read more

Horrible service!! On my lunch break I went to register my car I get a agent named yogita who at first was extremely nice she wanted me to switch ovee my car insurance... everything seemed so good she called me like 6 times a day to get me to come back in the office. When I finally did no terms were disclosed on the policy just the amount due for 12 months and what it covers, nothing was explained regarding a 7 dollar a month statement fee and payment processing fee, ae I read the terms of the policy alot of things stood out that made me close the policy within minutes of signing the contract. They manager came in being nice trying to find unethical ways to avoid the fee such as paying 2 times in one month. They indicated that my money was going to be refunded within 1-3 business days I call customer service and they said about 2-3 weeks and on top of that I get hit with another $40 cancelation fee being deducted from all the money they took from me!! I spoke to the manager once assuring I would get my money by the weekend now she wont answer my calls and is dodging. Horrible manager doesnt care about the clients who pay her salary I wouldn't recommend AAA service at this location everyone is on there high horse over there. read more

It was easy to park, the hours were convenient, it was quiet in there and I was in and out for my DMV renewal of a long-expired registration in under 15 minutes!!!!!!! I tried to call the office to see if they provided disabled placquards. You can't even get a real person on the phone. All they want to do is give you a quote for a new policy and they transfer you to "new policy" line. It would be VERY helpful if they had an option for "other" so that you could at least ask one single question. I am VERY disappointed as I think AAA is a very good group, for the most part. Had the worst experience here. Went in to make some changes to our membership which was unresolved over the phone. The agent seemed hesitant to help us. As I questioned her of what was already done over the phone, she had no choice but to acknowledge it but still went to the manager to complicate things. Go see Brenda! Over the years, I have visited AAA offices all over the east bay and it wasn't til recently I found excellent customer service at this Montclair office. I usually do all my business at the Monterey office, but I work in the east bay, so I needed to register my vehicle. I walk into this office, I'm in a huge rush. My mind is racing, I need to get in and out and on the road. Brenda Glover welcomed me to the office. She made sure all my business needs were taken care of. The way she spoke, she was not trying to sell me more policies, but made me aware of my options. You can just tell, that Brenda really cares for the members that walk through that door. No sales pitches. I was out of there with my tags in minutes. My short conversation with Brenda somehow calmed me down too. I walked out of there blown away by the service. Went in to renew my tags but was told that this was not possible because the car is in my spouse's name. I called a different AAA and was told this is not, in fact, true. The employee I was interacting with was definitely unhelpful and exuded an "I don't want to be here" vibe. Every little thing was a huge effort on her part. How many 1 star reviews will this place pile up before something is done? This falls on management. Weak. This is the first time in all these years that we've ever called on AAA to do anything for us. Why am I paying this money? read more

I was recently hit by someone carrying AAA. Their claim agent, Pam, was rude and accusatory during the investigation and also accused me of lying. Despite the fact that their insured admitted to backing up into me they claim that I did not try hard enough to evade him in heavy traffic and was therefore also at fault. They took 6 weeks to come to this conclusion. read more
