I walked in and was instructed to go to the 9th floor and a secretary on the floor informed me that she will be right out. I was tended to immediately. She greeted me and took me back to the office to complete the scanning. COVID - 19 guidelines were followed and the machine was already cleaned before I scanned my fingers. I was lost since they have signs posting for you to take a detour, when I called to verify this the lady that answered was rude and kept telling me "We are at 505 14th St" Finally rode the elevator ride and turn right as soon as I got off. In the past few years, I have gone to Sparkle numerous times for my fingerprints. Her quality of service has been consistent in her professionalism and knowledge. One of the reasons that I go to Sparkle for her services is that she was the first live scan professional to not mark my fingerprints. I have ezcema, an extremely common skin condition. There are these cracks on my fingertips due to the condition. In the past, I have had my fingerprints denied, professionals mocking my fingers and me as a person, professionals giving me a hard time saying that its my fault. Sparkle was the first person to not do this, in which I am now a loyal customer. She is fast, diligent and unbiased in her approach to her customers. I highly recommend Sparkle's services. This business was not open during its posted hours, and we could not get the fingerprinting/ services that we had driven there and parked in the VERY expensive garage to get. I have had a couple of live scans performed over the years, and this place definitely has the lowest price in the area. Sparkle, the live scan operator, was friendly and helpful. I was in and out in 25 minutes and that only was because Sparkle was already helping another customer when I arrived. I want to offer some tips for a positive experience. Bring your driver license/ID card and at least two copies of your live scan form and make sure you fill them out beforehand. The operator will keep one copy for their records and the second copy will be returned to you to provide your agency/employer. If you want an original copy for your own records, you should bring a third copy. Bring cash. The charge for credit/debit cards is a couple dollars higher. If you plan on going in the afternoon, call ahead to see when they close because I walked-in around 3pm and she planned on closing at 4pm that day. Parking can be a little tricky. There is on-street metered parking. Garages are also available, but pricey. read more

Told her it would take less than 2 minutes but wanted me to wait another 20 minutes. Getting a live scan's gotta be up there with one of the most awkward social situations of all time. Imagine a stranger all up in your personal space, breathing down your neck, grabbing your hands, smooshing your fingers across a piece of glass. Imagine that they keep smooshing your fingers across the glass until they get it just right. When your prints aren't dark enough, they make you rub a stinky oil on your fingers that you smell on your hands for days. Usually the whole process is done in complete awkward silence. And if the operator's breath also smells bad, you're SOL. Not with Sparkle! That is the Live Scan operator's name here, and she is super sweet (and has incredible hygiene). She is definitely on the chatty side, but it certainly makes the aforementioned awkward motions go by that much faster. Like a good hair stylist. Plus her prices are the lowest I've paid for digital fingerprinting... $16 if paying cash, $17 with card. She accepts walk-ins. What an absolute bitch. I called twice to gather information and schedule an appointment she was rude on the phone despite me being patient and simply asking what I thought were basic questions. She told me I didn't need an appointment and could walk in at anytime, when I got there this afternoon she wasn't. After waiting for 30 minutes she finally strolled in and asked me for my paperwork. I asked what paperwork and with her condescending tone that evidently is engrained in her character she said I needed my agency to equip me with a form. When I asked her over the phone what I needed to get it done she said I need to know the type of scan that my job required, that's it. Recently found Allscan Live Scan and went to get finger printing done for a new job. I called first to make sure I did not need to make an appointment and Sparkle was very professional so I decided to go at lunch since it was close by. I arrived and went up stairs and was instantly greeted by maybe the floor receptionist who had asked what office I was there to visit. I sat for maybe not even 2 mins and sparkle came out to get me. It was a very quick process and very reasonable fee. Sparkle has a very warm and friendly personality so if your some one who still cares about great customer service, this is the right place to go. By the time I was headed over it was 4pm, but since the hours were listed for closing time at 6pm, I realized this should not be a problem. She was condescending to me and even tried acting like she didn't hear me and hung up the first time. The second time I called she continued to be condescending and said "I need more information" although usually the last 6 times I have done live scan I say it for teaching and I need it for both FBI/DOJ. Very fast and easy place to get a Live Scan fingerprint done. It's a small little office sandwiched between some bail bond places so the outside has a lot of shady characters standing around, but you'll be in and out of this place in no time. On weekdays you can just walk in and the entire process took maybe ten minutes. The lady who works here is pretty nice too. It's also one of the cheapest places to get a Live Scan done. Their rolling fee (the fee that all places charge on top of the DOJ and FBI fees) is lower than other places. Note that if you pay by credit card, it costs $2 more. This is hands down the best place to get your fingerprints done. And I've had to get fingerprinted A LOT (I work in education). Sparkle is so professional, and yet also extremely friendly and makes easy, effortless conversation that makes the whole thing feel super pleasant.
