One person operation in the 6th floor of the old Tribune building. Biggest hassle is getting up to the sixth floor office. Nice lady help me out. Best price in town, saved $20 plus not going to the brown box store, just enough for lunch! read more

Efficient, polite, professional - all good! I called and there was no one else at the time so I was able to just walk in and be done in less than 10 minutes read more

Very professional and very kind. Always on time and their prices are great. Allscan is very clean and the staff is very friendly

Admittedly bitter. They do not accommodate advanced appointments. Walk-in only, first-come-first-served. They open at 10am. I went at 11:30. Was told there were already people ahead of me and that technician would be taking lunch 12:30-1:30. Open until 4pm. I returned just before 3pm. "Sorry, live scan is closed for the day." read more

This is an excellent business woman! It was easy to recognize she works confidently because knows what she's doing. I strongly recommend her for seamless, quick, professional, clean, affordable & pleasant service! Thank you Ma'am read more

Highest rate in the area! Wanted to charge $91 for a finer-print service. I hung up right away. Do not come here!

Really fast and professional service. I don't wait at all. I walk in at 11 am and got the job done in 5 minutes.

It was fast. The first time I was there, no wait time. I went back to the bank for cash because there's a discount that way. See, I was told that the doj and fbi fees would total 49. total 66. I waited for one person ahead after I got the money. Just seventeen bucks. The cheapest in the bay. Friendly person. read more

I only came here because my usual spot was closed. 1) LOCATION: parking sucks, you have to park in the garage and go up to the 9th floor or a Regis building. Forget about easy and efficient. 2) wait time! I've been here for over 30 min waiting. I've got many livescans done and it's never been this long of a wait! They take about 20 min per person. It's usually super fast! I really don't know what can possibly take so long! I'll never use this spot again! read more

Great location to go for drop-in fingerprinting in Downtown Oakland. Ms. Kelley is very kind and professional. I was in and out in 30 minutes and my results were back by the next day. I highly recommend and already have referred a friend! read more

I was told that I needed to ultize this establishment for a live scan background check. I was lost since they have signs posting for you to take a detour, when I called to verify this the lady that answered was rude and kept telling me "We are at 505 14th St" Finally rode the elevator ride and turn right as soon as I got off. Young middle eastern/African gal in the front who was not welcoming or friendly (bad for 1st point of contact) Told me to have a seat and someone will be with me. Pay a little and avoid the hassle and go somewhere else. read more

Allscan Live Scan - Tell me if that sign doesn't confuse you. - Fingerprinting Near Me - Oakland, California

These other low reviews must've just had a bad day because this was a great experience. I didn't catch her name but the person that offers the service is super sweet and patient. It was the cheapest spot I've found and definitely worth it. Just avoid parking in the parking garage, they'll rob you for only a little time spent. You're better off parking on 14th street or nearby. read more

Very nice place. Ambiance is nice while you wait. Runs smoothly with the helpful receptionists at the front. You can send your form electronically if you need to. read more

In the past few years, I have gone to Sparkle numerous times for my fingerprints. Her quality of service has been consistent in her professionalism and knowledge. One of the reasons that I go to Sparkle for her services is that she was the first live scan professional to not mark my fingerprints. I have ezcema, an extremely common skin condition. There are these cracks on my fingertips due to the condition. In the past, I have had my fingerprints denied, professionals mocking my fingers and me as a person, professionals giving me a hard time saying that its my fault. Sparkle was the first person to not do this, in which I am now a loyal customer. She is fast, diligent and unbiased in her approach to her customers. I highly recommend Sparkle's services. Keep in mind, that per CA's law, you are required to bring your CA ID or an approved form of identification. read more

I have had a couple of live scans performed over the years, and this place definitely has the lowest price in the area. Sparkle, the live scan operator, was friendly and helpful. I was in and out in 25 minutes and that only was because Sparkle was already helping another customer when I arrived. I want to offer some tips for a positive experience. Bring your driver license/ID card and at least two copies of your live scan form and make sure you fill them out beforehand. The operator will keep one copy for their records and the second copy will be returned to you to provide your agency/employer. If you want an original copy for your own records, you should bring a third copy. Bring cash. The charge for credit/debit cards is a couple dollars higher. If you plan on going in the afternoon, call ahead to see when they close because I walked-in around 3pm and she planned on closing at 4pm that day. Parking can be a little tricky. There is on-street metered parking. Garages are also available, but pricey. read more

When you say you're going to be there... you should be there. This business was not open during its posted hours, and we could not get the fingerprinting/ services that we had driven there and parked in the VERY expensive garage to get. While we tried to find someone else, another party came in for the same background check services. Very disappointing for all of us, and there is no way to contact this business by phone. read more

Easy process! This is inside a tall building called Regus that is across the street from Oakland Town Hall. I walked in and was instructed to go to the 9th floor and a secretary on the floor informed me that she will be right out. I was tended to immediately. She greeted me and took me back to the office to complete the scanning. COVID - 19 guidelines were followed and the machine was already cleaned before I scanned my fingers. The prices was quick and easy. Probably took 10 minutes, we were having a good conversation and that probably added to the time so it was less than that. Thank you! I would come again! read more

I waited 20 minutes, although first come first serve, she wanted to skip past me because her computer wasn't up to date and I needed to resend my document for her to print. Told her it would take less than 2 minutes but wanted me to wait another 20 minutes. Not fair and was the opposite of "first come first serve", not the best interaction after working all night, poor consideration for clientele. read more

Getting a live scan's gotta be up there with one of the most awkward social situations of all time. Imagine a stranger all up in your personal space, breathing down your neck, grabbing your hands, smooshing your fingers across a piece of glass. Imagine that they keep smooshing your fingers across the glass until they get it just right. When your prints aren't dark enough, they make you rub a stinky oil on your fingers that you smell on your hands for days. Usually the whole process is done in complete awkward silence. And if the operator's breath also smells bad, you're SOL. Not with Sparkle! That is the Live Scan operator's name here, and she is super sweet (and has incredible hygiene). She is definitely on the chatty side, but it certainly makes the aforementioned awkward motions go by that much faster. Like a good hair stylist. Plus her prices are the lowest I've paid for digital fingerprinting... $16 if paying cash, $17 with card. She accepts walk-ins. If you're about to start a new job in the Downtown Oakland area which needs to make sure you're not a convicted felon, look no further than All Scan Live Scan! read more

The lady was really helpful and got the job done. She was really patient with me since she couldn't do the finger prints her self so to covid she gave very clear instructions and had placement cards to help and everything was sanitize and clean when I walked in. read more

What an absolute bitch. I called twice to gather information and schedule an appointment she was rude on the phone despite me being patient and simply asking what I thought were basic questions. She told me I didn't need an appointment and could walk in at anytime, when I got there this afternoon she wasn't. After waiting for 30 minutes she finally strolled in and asked me for my paperwork. I asked what paperwork and with her condescending tone that evidently is engrained in her character she said I needed my agency to equip me with a form. When I asked her over the phone what I needed to get it done she said I need to know the type of scan that my job required, that's it. Needless to say I won't be coming back to her when I have the necessary paperwork considering how intolerable she is to deal with and her complete and total lack of decency and professionalism. read more

Stopped by here for a second time on Friday. The first time was when I renewed my teaching credential. Both times, the process was straightforward, the customer service was superior, and the fingerprinting itself was painless. I highly recommend this place for your FBI/DOJ verification needs. read more

I love this place their prices were reasonable and I was in and out fast. Make an appointment it'll go faster the day before I got my prints done I came up there and it was a hr wait a group of teachers and a few people ahead of me. Thank you guys it was great and fast. read more

Sparkle is very amazing. Front desk ladies were very friendly! Sparkle was very friendly very easy to talk to and great energy! I would definitely come to her again in the future if I need any addition service. She does many different services to offer! I was in and out in 10 min and she even walked me to the front to make sure I was able to find my way back to the elevators. HER PRICES ARE VERY AFFORDABLE! She was very welcoming! read more

Efficient and professional. Clean and comfortable office. Was able to sit during paperwork instead of standing in a line and filing paperwork at a counter. Friendly. read more

Recently found Allscan Live Scan and went to get finger printing done for a new job. I called first to make sure I did not need to make an appointment and Sparkle was very professional so I decided to go at lunch since it was close by. I arrived and went up stairs and was instantly greeted by maybe the floor receptionist who had asked what office I was there to visit. I sat for maybe not even 2 mins and sparkle came out to get me. It was a very quick process and very reasonable fee. Sparkle has a very warm and friendly personality so if your some one who still cares about great customer service, this is the right place to go. She made me feel very comfortable and had such a great energy, I was sad I would probably never have a reason to visit again. read more

I didn't catch her name, but the woman who took my fingerprints today was AWESOME. Super professional and efficient, explained everything and then some. Parking can be a challenge, but it's close to 12th Street BART and any City Center bus line, so I'd recommend public transit if that's an option for you. Don't waste your time going anywhere else! read more

I was in and out in about 15 minutes. My particular Live Scan required was only $17, compared to the $20-$35 charged at other places in Oakland/Alameda. A reviewer said there's a $2 fee to use a credit card, so I made sure to bring cash! Her office space was neat and clean, the lady who helped me was kind and efficient. I had to park about a block away at a meter that cost me $2/hour. I will definitely come back here if I ever find myself needing her services again! read more

Very fast and easy place to get a Live Scan fingerprint done. It's a small little office sandwiched between some bail bond places so the outside has a lot of shady characters standing around, but you'll be in and out of this place in no time. On weekdays you can just walk in and the entire process took maybe ten minutes. The lady who works here is pretty nice too. It's also one of the cheapest places to get a Live Scan done. Their rolling fee (the fee that all places charge on top of the DOJ and FBI fees) is lower than other places. Note that if you pay by credit card, it costs $2 more. The total (all fees inclusive) is $65 for cash and $67 for card. read more

I attempted to get my fingerprints live-scanned here as another business's machine was broken. By the time I was headed over it was 4pm, but since the hours were listed for closing time at 6pm, I realized this should not be a problem. I show up, someone tells me the individual left at 4pm and due to the pandemic have been leaving earlier, if a business owner is going to close before what the times on every supplementary site have listed, they should have those times changed, because of this I was unable to go to any other place I could have made because I spent my time going here. read more

I was expecting a dark, shabby place for this kind of service (fingerprinting!). Instead, it was a cheerful, bright corporate office up in a glass tower. I was a walk-in during the middle of the day, but still waited just five minutes to be seen. The staff member who served as my notary and Live Scan fingerprinter was very personable and knew her stuff. She helped me to navigate the complicated rules around degree authentication and a background check for a work visa to China. read more

I don't think I have ever encountered someone more rude to me on the phone. Especially because I am very mindful of how I speak to people. She was condescending to me and even tried acting like she didn't hear me and hung up the first time. The second time I called she continued to be condescending and said "I need more information" although usually the last 6 times I have done live scan I say it for teaching and I need it for both FBI/DOJ. She continued by saying "when you call people you need to say that information so they understand you". It was so rude and horrible costumer service. She said you have a good day and hung up again. read more

Quick effective service with a smile. She's well-priced and does an efficient job of getting those fingerprints taken. She's friendly but not so talkative that things take too long. If I ever need another fingerprinting, I'd go back here! read more

I needed to get finger printed and researched prices and hours of operation in entire East Bay. This place was recommended by State of CA Office of the Attorney General website and one of the most affordable places for Live Scan services in Alameda County. I had the pleasure of meeting Sparkle Kelly who was friendly, professional and delivered services quickly. You may call for an appointment. Right off 880 freeway in downtown Oakland. Bring coins to pay for street metered parking. read more

Fast and easy! Upon walking in the office which is located near Old Oakland, Sparkle was already attending to two other patrons. They both got their fingerprints done under 10-15 minutes while I waited for my turn. When it was my turn, Sparkle quickly took care of all my paperwork and scanned my fingerprints in a prompt manner. She was very pleasant during the whole process. read more

Allscan Livescan services was great! Good customer service and very professional and patience with you. I didn't need an appointment. I was a walk in to get my fingerprints done. The guy receptionist was VERY nice, the only reason I give two stars and not less is for him. The other receptionist and the main attendant (the person that takes your fingerprints) were VERY rude, I am a DOCUMENTED immigrant, they wouldn't accept my work authorization or ssn, they treated me like I didn't know how to read, basically thrown the information papers at me, didn't take the time to explain anything, didn't look me at the eye while talking to me, seriously, the worst costumer service, cheap and all you want, fudge this place. read more

Quick, easy, convenient location, and Sparkle is amazing. If you need you need to get fingerprinted, Allscan is a no-brainer.

On the 9th floor of 505 14th st building. Needed both DOJ ($32) and FBI ($17). $66 total Iincluding the rolling fee. $2 charge for using a credit card. In and out in 15 min. Very friendly. Will be coming back here for all my future Live Scan needs. The door on the 9th floor suite closes at 5 pm so call prior if you are getting there between 5 and 6pm. read more

Yes, Sparkle is real and she's really dope too. The price for fingerprinting here is the lowest I've seen anywhere, and on top of that, the process is all good vibes if that's what you want to experience. Bring yours, and you'll be evenly matched. We discussed poetry and writing while my fingers were rolled gently and my background checked. That's a first. Thank you Sparkle! See you soon! read more
