Quick and easy and they take walk-ins! I needed fingerprints done for a teaching assignment and they were very helpful!

Experience was quick and easy! The person running the live scan was very courteous and a pleasure to deal with. I had two live scan's done and it was about $60 more than expected, so probably not the cheapest option but overall positive experience. Would probably use again. read more

I have a new teaching job and had to come by here to get my live scan. I'm so glad that I did. I went in, gave them my paperwork and they gave me my scan. I was the only one there when I arrived, but as I left, there were a couple of other people. One was being serviced and the other one was waiting or her term. There were two people working there, one in the front and one in the back room. I didn't have to pay for this scan, the company gave me paperwork, but I would come here because of the lack of hassle. I easily found parking and was in and out in 10 minutes or so. I was glad that my company recommended them to me. read more

Mamadou was really kind. It was quick and easy! The location was easy to find and I like that they sell.swlf defense tools.

Did a walk in appointment to get a live scan background check for a family member who was unable to do this successfully at several USPS locations. The personnel here were extremely helpful, they figured out the problem (excessive perspiration on fingers) and worked to fix this. They were also great at explaining the different confusing background check procedures. Despite the somewhat sketchy neighborhood (across from the Oakland PD Headquarters) I would definitely come back here again. Great job guys! read more

I believe his name is Mamadou (Apologies if I'm wrong), he was very professional and the service was quick. I would return here for all relevant services bc of the team's prompt work. read more

Quick service without appointment. Checked in Yelp to get a discount. Will come to get live scan here again.

I let my guard license expire then I decided to do security again, so I have to start the process all over again and I'm looking in places for Vallejo to do this and all of a sudden I remembered LPG because that's where I first got licensed to their website found a class I was looking on Wednesday found a class for Thursday paid the fee which was 230 which included my application fee my life scan, and the training courses I need Were use of force and power to arrest. The class was explained very simply. It's a easy process and they told us it would take two weeks to six weeks to get a license. Well mines only took one day. I did the class on Thursday. I checked I was checking my email on Saturday and boom my license was there so they did a great job and helping me into getting my license again I would definitely, advise anybody who's considering doing security guard to use this company? read more

I came here for my guard card the process was extremely simple and the staff was courteous and quick. The class was entertaining with Jim as our teacher. Highly recommend the instructor and this place for your card guard. read more

I needed a background check to coach a soccer team. I didn't have all the info that I needed, but both staff members were incredibly nice and helpful; my ignorance was not a problem. The process took about 15 minutes without any issues. Highly recommended! read more

Quick and easy live scan service. I have to get these done often and LPG was definitely the most seamless process. No wait and very professional. Most competitive pricing around (compared to $72-$85 quoted at other places). To send mine to DOJ and FBI it was $69 -$5 off for Yelp check-in! It costs less if you don't need to send yours into the FBI. read more

LPG Live Scan - Fingerprinting Near Me - Oakland, California

Efficient experience and friendly staff. Fingerprinting took less than 10 minutes. Good value.

All ok. Fast and efficient easy scheduling clean facility. Good price all okay no problem

I came here for ink fingerprints. The process was fast and easy. The man at the front desk even made sure that all my paperwork was in order and that my envelope was properly signed and secured with tape. I was stressed out about having to submit the fingerprint card as opposed to a Live Scan and LPG put my mind at ease and were very nice and professional! read more

Super fast and efficient. Came in without an appointment. Great customer service. Lots of parking in front. I highly recommend them.

The sign up process is a breeze and the email, text, and phone reminders are a godsend for a busy person like me who easily forgets things unless it's on my calendar. The Baton instructor was Phil Chachere and he was able to share his wealth of knowledge and experience with us in a way that was both highly informative and fun. He prepared us for the test and thanks to him I scored 100%. The hands on training left me feeling prepared to defend against any threat with confidence! This was my first training with LPG and I'm looking forward to the next one! read more

They're super rude brushed us off as if we were the problem, they wanted us to change stuff on our application when everything was self explanatory. And whoever the boss is likes to hide behind his door and bark orders to his minion. I would never spend 1 red cent at this establishment. read more

The staff was courteous and quick when I got my fingerprints done. It was easily under 15 minutes. I parked down the block but it looked like you might be able to just park in front. Make sure to check in on Yelp to get $5 off! read more

Phil Chachere was really good at Baton training high key recommend coming here to get training there intentions are good.

I was a little nervous coming in because of the reviews i wasn't ready to wait a long time to get my fingerprints scanned. so i sent a message VIA yelp to see if i could make an appointment and Matt the owner got back to me saying they weren't every busy and but if i wanted to book an appointment i could and he sent me the link. so after spending hours in the clinic a few blocks away i ran down to get my live scan and it literally took 5 min. I was so happy. Matt did my live scan and he was very nice. He told me to relax and he did all the work while scanning and it made things so fast he go them all done without having to re-do any fingers. (some people expect you to know what to do then get mad when they have to re-do them.) but matt knows how to get them done quick and effortlessly. read more

As a licensed armed guard, I was skeptical about the effectiveness of the impact of batons but today at LPG in Oakland, I was surprised with the instructor Mr. Phil Chachere's skills as a retired police officer (great man). Mr. Phil shared memories from his law enforcement experience, which were relevant to baton training & movements while teaching you the best skills he has. I really recommend LPG and Mr. Phil. I walked out of LPG class with confidence, because I learned baton skills and details of the law in California about how to use, secure, and defend myself with a baton. LPG is equipped with all you need during training and provide you with the baton. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY A BATON PRIOR TO TRAINING because you can learn a variety of options after class. I highly recommend LPG for your security guard pieces of training. They are professional, neat, affordable, and very organized in process of transferring the required skills for your certificate. LPG is my place for Handcuffing & Pepper Spray and other training I might be assigned to get. Thank you. read more

Found this convenient location after a quick Google search for live scan near me. The whole process was quick and painless (got in and out within 30 minutes with no appointment), just don't forget your request form. Compared to the other live scans I have gotten elsewhere, the gentlemen who helped me with my fingerprints was more gentle. In terms of price, LPG provides the most competitive price ($69 to have it sent to DOJ/FBI). Bonus: $5 off with Yelp check-in! (so $64 total!) I have heard from my friends that they were quoted $70-90. Definitely worth to make a visit here if you need a live scan. read more

I work for a large non-profit arts organization in SF. We used LPG to Live Scan our teaching artists. Matt LPG was punctual, efficient and extremely courteous. Would highly recommend to any organization that needs Live Scanning done. read more

Great service - before, during, and after my live scan. They made my bad day better. I really suggest people go here for their scans.

Unfortunately the lines are way too long to get in there to get a Live Scan. It's hard to find, and there's construction going on. Once there, it's a nice space but the 1hr wait before they can start the process is the killer. Decided to go downstairs to the UPS Store and was in and out in 30 minutes total. read more

Literally no parking nearby! Finally found parking paid for it with meter and to find out the person left closed for lunch

Fast, professional, no-bs, most affordable fingerprinting service. At this point, I really just hope the scanned fingerprints go through. Will update the review in a few weeks. read more

I have used LPG Live Scan twice now for running our company's prints through the DOJ and FBI for employees and volunteers. Matt and his team are fantastic and flexible. Both times we needed them to come to our site and Matt responded quickly, especially the second time when I had very little notice. He was courteous and incredibly knowledgeable about this complicated system of finger printing, and we will definitely continue to us LPG Live Scan in the future! read more
