So I stooped over the counter finally and asked him if he could help me. He was very gruff and asked what I wanted I told him I needed a key for my mailbox. He asked me to show me what he needed. I didn't know if he wanted me to come around the counter because he wasn't getting up. It didn't seem appropriate to go on the other side of the counter, so I stayed where I was and didn't know if he was being funny or what his issue was. And then I showed him the different parts to the box that I need and he said I would need a whole new lock to put into the box. So he gets up and gets the package of the set that I need. It shows a price on the package, but he said that's not the right price. I asked him so what is the right price and it was about a dollar more so. I said that's fine. I just wanted to get what I needed and leave at that point. Because he wasn't very pleasant at all. I told him I could pay with my debit card. So he had the machine in front of him and told me to tap my card which I did. Then I was surprised when he asked me for my pin number . Thank goodness, I wasn't intimidated and gave it to him. Instead, I leaned over Covered the number number area with my hand and put in my code myself. I just thought it was so odd and rude of him to ask me for my pin . I'll never go back there again. He seemed very bothered to have me in his shop, was so reluctant to get up from his stool, and it was very awkward when he asked me for my pin number.

I will never use anyone else so I really hope he doesn't win the lottery anytime soon. He itemizes and estimates well and clearly. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes before it's my turn, and the process of key-copying is also pretty fast. The last time I came, I copied 7 keys, which took less than 10 minutes. He was so kind and genuinely cared about my situation; my car was broken into, stolen, then abandoned nearby. No broken windows either. They did it electronically, reprogramming my key fob in the process, and punching my lock in so I couldn't bypass it with my key. Apparently they're showing people how to do it on social media especially (the American-owned) TikTok and they won't take the videos down. They left all of my windows down and I couldn't turn on my car to put them back up again. I called around told my story and everytime I was quoted outrageous pricing after telling them what happened, which car I drove, and of course being a woman. It's really disgusting how some men treat women when it comes to cars & if they think you're desperate for help; they were trying to charge me car note prices to reprogram a simple car fob. Smh. But not Friendly Locksmith! It was affordable and fair. Roy came same day and ASAP after calling him & he reprogrammed my fob in about 10 minutes. I was able to put my windows back up and park my car back in my car port instead of on the street after having my car towed. He also helped me take my battery out of the car, because they like to repeatedly steal cars if it's easy for them (they'll have to tow it away or bring a battery with them next time ).
