My family was very friendly with not only a former US Attorney General, but the man who created the Bureau of Automotive Repair and who was in charge of the Consumer Protection/Consumer Fraud unit for the state of California as a Special Assistant Attorney General. Included in our family is a local former Deputy City Attorney. I am not wont to complain about businesses in general because of the time, burden and expense entailed in doing so, but the outrageously dishonest, unscrupulous and apparently downright criminal behavior of this enterprise needs to be brought to your attention. You should not refer business to it any longer via your website. It needs to be investigated by the local D.A. or C.A. and, perhaps, the State, and shut down should it persist in its business practices. This is to complain about AA SMOG TEST ONLY CENTER located at 10885 Venice Blvd. Unit A in Los Angeles, California with telephone (310) 839-4500 visited today on referral from your website with coupon linked thereto. The Owner/Manager of the enterprise at this location, Mr. Manuel Hernandez and his personnel, including but not limited to "Caesar," deliberately and intentionally caused significant damage to my vehicle in the course of purportedly doing a smog check. The foregoing conduct is illegal. You cannot do this to customers. You cannot take money for a test ... and 'mess' with their car. 'Add-on' repairs are illegal. They owe me for the damages proximately caused by their conduct, which include, but are not limited to the cost of repairs to correct the damage, for my time and for legal expenses should they become necessary to impose liability. I had my smog check done at AA SMOG they were very nice and quick good costermer service they are honest about there price on yelp i payed $40 when i mention that i had just called to say i had seen a special of $31.75 + 8.25 for the certification im very happy with this place im more then sure ill recommend this shop... This is my second time to AA Smog on Venice Blvd, in Palms (west LA). And once again, great service. There were about 4 cars ahead of me, so my wait was about an hour.
