Great Service excellent customer service Highly recommended these Amazing Rocket Smog Thank you

I just went to this smog shop this morning to get a quote and I told the technician it was to expensive $70 And I went to my car barely getting in my car and he came out and demanded I leave his parking lot. He was so unprofessional and rude. NEVER GO this place rip OFF. I found another smog place for much cheaper Star Auto Check much cheaper and great service read more

Gentleman who runs this service is efficient, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I paid $70 which is fair for the smog check. This is the third time we have used rocket smog and are pleased with the service provided. read more

I drove in for smog check. The guy said he did not want to do old cars (1987) because it would take too long to do it. If so, state it on the website. He did not want me to make appointment neither. No customer service. I wasted my time. To avoid other people wasting their time, I am sharing my experience here. I continue to shared my unpleasant experience in car communities. read more

I needed a smog check since I was registering my car from out of state and this spot was close to the AAA I was at and had great reviews, so I figured I'd stop be. It's also across the street from the DMV so that also makes it super convenient. There was only one guy working and one person waiting when I got there. He quickly greeted me and told me it would be about 15 minutes to do my smog check. A few other customers came in while I was waiting and he was so quick and efficient. The waiting area has a water fountain and a restroom. They also have sooo many magazines if you want to read one. My car probably took less than 15 minutes and it was $50 after the $10 off help check-in offer. Great spot! Highly recommend. read more

I called for a last minute smog check and Fred was very friendly and quick to accommodate. I didn't even get the opportunity to park before he came out and said "don't worry you can leave the car here". He was done in 10 minutes. Very reasonable price considering all the local competitors charge $5-$10 more. Very pleased with my experience and will now bring all my cars here! Thank you Fred! read more

No nonsense, straightforward, quick, easy and reasonable. The best in my experience. I'd highly recommend this test center.

I've been using Rocket Smog for over 30 years, brought in many vehicles, recommended their service and was very pleased. This last time, they were very rude, did not provide the discount quoted, and acted like I should thank him for his service. I sorry the original owner sold his wonderful Culver City Business to a unthankful, impolite person. I will never return. No refund was provided. I went to another agent (next door) and the service was friendly and complete. The vehicle had 2000 miles on it since the last smog (a couple years ago) done at your shop. The money was much less important than attitude directed toward your customer, me. read more

Quick, efficient. Good price. I was lucky to have no one before me but many came just after and he was super quick and efficient.

I tried to take my 1989 VW van here at 10:30 am on a Monday. The employee working there said my van was too old. I pointed out a sign that had a rate for vans from 1976-1995. He then changed his story to it would take too long to smog my van (there were no other vehicles in the parking lot). Eventually he agreed to do the smog check, but he was super angry about it. I was uncomfortable with him, performing the service with his attitude, so I left. I would not recommend rocket smog to anyone. ***Update*** the technician was in such a huff, he did not re-latch the lid on my engine compartment. My van is a rear engine, and this is extremely dangerous. If the lid were to come off something could easily fall into the motor and cause damage or start a fire read more

My go-to place for smog check. Very fast service with reasonable price. Yelp check in for $10 discount is great.

I drive my car up and the worker completely ignored me then proceeded to wave me ahead. I parked there and waited 15 minutes before another car pulled up and he was greeted and taken before me. There are tooooo many smog places in the area to get AWFUL treatment like this. Never again! read more

I recently smogged my truck here and have been using Rocket Smog for the past several years. They've always been quick and efficient. Even on busy days. Feeling like I'm getting hustled somewhat. The DMV told me to get a smog check, that's conveniently across the street from the DMV. I get it, my car fails, the guy tells me there's an AUDI specialist that can fix the problem. Which is conveniently next door Feel like I'm being hustled. On the upside the smog test place was fast, clean, and convenient My response sent via email Hi Fred, I came in this morning and wrote the yelp review. I do feel hustled. I did some googling, please see attached picture. You drove my car from the parking lot into the slot to be tested. Did you see my check engine light on? I would imagine you did, since you started the car, drove it etc. Had I known an engine light on is an automatic fail, I wouldn't have had it tested. I would've went to the mechanic first. I think you knew my car would fail from seeing the light and still charged me. If you did notice and didn't tell me up front before testing, you hustled me, and I think that's a bad business practice and comes across as dishonest. read more

Rcoket Smog is fast and reliable. If your car does not pass the first time, they will try again at no charge. My car did pass on the first try, but I saw another customer crossing her fingers hoping the second try would get it done. The area they work in is clean and the waiting area is also clean and they have bathrooms, an imperative for me. We did not have to wait long and I think I paid about 40$ with a coupon. I will use them again. Thanks. read more

Rocket Smog - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Extremely quick and straightforward process. Thank you for the great service, will return in the future.

instead of taking responsibility you are choosing to blame me instead.. I take great pride and care of my car, I maintain it myself and wash/wax it myself.. I asked if I could drive in the car in your garage to remove the possibility of something happening to my car but you said no. I never let anyone else drive my car but was forced in this situation. I know my car very well as I am anal in taking care of it. now everyday since visiting you I feel the deep scratch and am reminded of the carelessness. I am glad I warned others with my review because you had a chance to make things right in your reply on Yelp but you chose to blame the customer instead of offering a solution. hopefully this will be a lesson to you, be more careful with other people's property and take responsibility for your mistakes. read more

Rocket Smog - deep scratch leather steering wheel - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Disappointed, "RETEST" smog scheme do not recommend. Meaning you pay TWICE WITHOUT NOTICE for the same service, so the actual value is $71.75 to $90.00. After contesting the dishonesty to Fade he gave me a $10.00 discount and asked me to check the battery fast, as he had previously detected the light on the dashboard and on the handheld, he himself drove my car to the test. And when I returned, he asked me to walk another 200miles and I warned that I would exceed my deadline at the DMV. Honestly now I understand, because the business is so empty, 25 years of business does not prove good faith, honesty or credibility I feel cheated and I want my money back to my credit card! read more
