My mechanic had suspected my 22-year-old Japnese minivan might not pass a smog test. Unfortunately the parts needed were no longer available from the dealer, and would estimated to be very expensive if any after market parts could even suffice. Chose to go get a smog test here because it was close to my home and the deadline to renew registration was fast approaching. Dreaded the test results - would my vehicle need to be retired? How much would it cost to buy something newer? It seemed there were other customers when i arrived at around 10am on a Friday morning, but Ali was able to fit my vehicle in right away. He did a careful and thorough check, explaining the process. And the good news?! It passed! Thank you K&K! read more

Great Experience! quick and easy! been coming here for years and wouldn't go anywhere else! Great pricing and convenient hours! thank you!

Fast, well priced and convenient--especially considering I didn't call ahead and it was 5p. Thanks!

Took my GMC pick up there. He look at it for 5 minutes and told me it wouldn't smog. Then charged me over $90.00.....yup 90 bucks for 5 minutes to tell me it wouldn't smog. I was from out of town visiting relatives. Smog tech in our town doesn't charge if it won't smog. To smog a car takes maybe 20 minutes......no smog takes 5. Be careful of this guy. Shop around.....they are not all the same read more

Fadi is amazing Took the liberty to pre-check few things before the smog just to make sure there would be no surprises and end up failing my old Jeep Was in and out in a light speed read more

He's always quick and polite. When my car didn't pass, he gave friendly advice on how to fix the issue the right and legal way then return for a retest. Very much appreciated. read more

I have been going here for probably close to 20 years, and wouldn't think of going anywhere else! It's nice to go every other year, and always seeing Mr Yassine and having him remember me. I am always seen promptly, but would happily wait if need be. read more

This was so easy for me. I would definitely recommend going here for a complete reliable smog test. Very happy to have found this place.

I needed a smog certificate for the first time on my 2018 car and took it here. The serviceman was so nice, so efficient and quick. It was a great experience and I couldn't recommend this business more. Drive in and drive out in less than 20 minutes. read more

"Disappointing experience. I've lived in this area for over 30 years and have owned several businesses myself, and I know good service when I see it. This shop was unprofessional and the communication was poor. Save your time and go somewhere else." read more

Quick turn around. All went as expected. DMV received certification. Great experience!

Went in for a smog check - super fast, friendly and efficient. Good experience!! I will definitely return in the future.

Prompt, efficient, outstanding service. Extremely friendly and cordial. The owner is running a terrific business

Excellent service. Owner was very cordial and efficient. I will return here in future.

I don't think I've ever written a negative review, but the owner here was over-the-top rude. I called to ask about a smog check and I showed up within 10 minutes. The guy said it was $80 and before I could even react, he said "well let me close up because I'd rather go home than wait for you to decide." And then he proceeded to close up the shop and drove away. Worst customer service. I would have done it, but have never gotten a smog check for more than $50, so I hesitated for a split second and apparently that was too much for him to handle. Would not recommend. read more

K & K Smog - Closed up the shop before I could even give him an answer on whether or not I would do a smog check here. - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Venice, California

Friendly, easy, timely service. Smog certificate complete and sent to DMV. Good experience!

I've been coming here for at least 10 years and have brought half a dozen different vehicles. This place is the best. I always see the same man (ALi) so I think it is owner operated. Very quick, no games, easy to work with. I've brought everything from heavy duty pickups to high performance sports cars - always great service. Highly recommend. read more

This man, Ali, is supposed to be a professional. He ran the smog test when the "engine light" was showing on the dash. He did not tell me to first take it to the mechanic. I did not understand but he knew it would fail and that would make me come back a second time, at more expense to me, to have the car pass the smog test. This is trickery and shows a greedy and manipulative attitude. Ali then tried to convince me with "tech speak" as to how he was obliged to do this. I had called BAR and they said it was NOT obligatory to run it the first time. I saw through his explanation immediately and know a con when I experience one. He tried to baffle me with science. I will never go back to this company. read more

Great little place. Super friendly and accommodating!! Ran over to get a smog test and was done in 20 minutes for a great price! Highly recommend! read more

Wow, i have been to this place for all my smog checks over the last 18 yrs i lived in this area. Never had a problem. The man is a bit of a pig with food hanging from his mouth as he spoke to me but i looked away and dealt with it. He was incredibly rude and after i told him so continued trying to man 'splain a form that i could read. I wanted nothing more than to get out of there. I will get smog checks near work from now on. Thought others should know. read more

Do not go here. Incredibly rude. Does not honor coupon. Would of went elsewhere if I knew he could not be trusted. Charged 70$ for smog test even with coupon. read more

K & K Smog - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Venice, California

Unable to give a good review as despite numerous searches indicating that K & K Smog opened at 9 am on Saturday, I found they did not. I planned my day to start by getting my smog check done here but arrived at 9:05 am to find it all closed up. I tried calling the number as well and was directed to a voicemail box. So I found a smog check station that WAS open nearby. read more

Were the only ones open past 5P! Quick, easy and nice workers. Will come back again for future smog checks.

Very friendly and and accommodating. The smog info loaded up to the DMV without issue. Service was fast and efficient. I recommend this place for your smog test. read more

They were quick, efficient and friendly. Price was fair. Location was convenient. It was an easy experience

This place is just the best spot in Venice, Ali is so helpful and trustful. He found a part for a 2011 Honda CR-Z for a really good deal compare two other garages. I also did my smog check with them and they have a great discount for your second one. Definitely my place to go and recommend to everyone. They get busy easily. read more

Friendly service. Responsive and professional. Called and brought my car for smog check cert. A+

I called at 5pm on a Wednesday and he said he could do the smog check for both of our two cars without an appointment. Great news for us and since only down the street got there within 10 min. (50 minutes before he closed for evening). He saw both of our vehicles promptly and got us the form we needed for the DMV. We were both in & out and home within 30 minutes. He accepted the coupon online that saved us $30! We showed him the coupon before he started servicing our cars. This meant we did our smog check for $80 total - a savings we appreciated. Oh and great customer service too - my husband made the left turn into his shop in rush hour no problem. I however, needed to go down to Washington to turn around and make it a right turn into his shop. A guy ended up pulling in behind my husbands' car and in front of me during my turn around time - the owner asked him to back up and wait since our cars were together. That was very nice of him and for that type of service, this place is 5 stars. Definitely would recommend coming here if you need your smog check for the State of California. read more

Needed a smog check and literally just took a turn here when I saw it. Owner came out right away, got my info and I was next in line. Wait/service was only like 20 mins and cost about $85. I am happy with this experience overall read more

The most out of sorts establishment for SMOG. They are very unorganized and tel you to come back specific days, then upon arrival state the specialist isn't there that day, only to significantly waste your time. If time is precious, avoid them at all costs. read more

Yeah like getting your car smogged? No right? Living on your knees under the oppressive boot of the state, paying exorbitant registration and licensing fees, having your vehicle hooked up to sniffers directly connected to government regulators in Sacramento AND having to pay for it? Well K&K makes it cheap, quick and easy. In and out, right on the corner of Lincoln & Venice. Roll in, hook it up, pay and bounce. Didn't even have to turn my truck off. Love this place. Will be back in two years, and refer all my friends. Five shining stars! read more

After taking an extremely long time with the paper work from the DMV, stalling the van several times, we left without a smog check because our technician stated that he in fact didn't know how to operate the car. Total waste of time. Worth mentioning that he complimented all of that with a ton of attitude. Drove two minutes to Del Rey Smog and they had it done in 10 minutes! read more

Lovely experience at K&K. I spent 3 hours at a DMV appointment this morning trying to register my car from Illinois to California only to be told that I needed a smog testing (even though I swear to you I called the DMV and was told by some degenerate that I didn't need it since my car was a 2018 model). Anyways, I was pretty frazzles. I pulled up to K&K, they honored my coupon and the technician was so nice. It took roughly 10 minutes, super fast, super easy. And now I am smog passed ! Back to the DMV I go! Highly recommend! read more

Smog check took ten minutes. The guy took the coupon without me printing, or having it on my phone. It was $59.75 with the certificate. Better price than the other guys in this area. read more

guy failed my car car because he didn't decide to look through the aftermarket parts list all the way... I come back and this other guy gives me the run around and essentially gives me no service because he doesn't really work there or something. Came here again at 830, which is when they open, and no one is here. Had to wait for another 45 minutes which is beyond me as to why they even advertise being open at 830. All in all, very disappointed and I will never be coming back here again. Smog experiences are never great but man this place is the epitome of terrible service. read more
