Got a smog check here. They were very quick, professional, and did not try to upcharge me like some other places did. I'll definitely be coming here in the future. read more

Not sure why I get so anxious when I receive my "car registration" notification and payment due in the mail. I own a 25 yo Ford Thunderbird convertible. So, when I read that I have to get a smog check. It gives me pause. Thoughts of "what if I fail"? start gloominating in my head. I digress ... I saw Husain yesterday ( this neighborhood GEM is literally around the corner from our home)...I told him I would be there first thing Monday morning. AND, I was there first thing this morning. I saw another customer pull in to park on the street and we began to chat amicably. A lovely fellow and a nearby neighbor. Anyway, by 9:15a Husain arrived and began to set everything up. Hutz plutz and "ta da", the test was finished and I PASSED... woo hoo. His prices are so fair! And lower than most nearby places... And it was a lovely experience! I highly recommend this small business and our community is so lucky to have him here. And there are great food choices close by... I love my community and neighborhood!!! read more

Went in first day didnt pass smog. Told me to come back after driving 30 miles at 55mph. Never said it couldn't make a stop in between. I come back on second day and they just put the scanner on it and they refused to tell me exactly what happened. Old guy yelled and me and told me to leave. Very hostile. Will not be going back and reporting to BBB. read more

This A-hole crook took my money knowing that my car was going to fail. BEWARE. All he wants is $55 and he will fail your car. He doesn't check the car first just takes your money and is very rude. Then he fails your car. An honest SMOG expert would tell you straight up and not charge you to fail it. Wish u could give negative stars. read more

Diego is the Best! Great experience. Diego was fast and very easy to work with. Two cars in and out within 20 mins.

I was running errands in my neighborhood over the weekend. One of those errands was needing to get an oil change. I wanted to find something close by and found this place. I'm sure they take appointments. I didn't have one, but it was really easy for me to drop in and get my oil changed. Maybe I got lucky and they weren't busy, but these guys seem to be super friendly and honest. I came in for an oil change and that's all I got. No upsell no nothing else. The price I paid was super fair as well. I totally recommend these guys. read more

Thank you fellow Yelpers for helping me find Swift Smog! The reviews don't lie - this place is affordable, friendly, and reliable, and I would totally return/recommend. It may not look like much on the outside but I drove away happy, knowing I didn't just get ripped off. I came here for an oil change + smog check and while it took a little longer than originally quoted ("35min" but took a bit over an hour - totally reasonable) there's a shopping center a very walkable 0.4 miles down the street and I was able to get a little grocery shopping done in the meantime. When I returned, my car was done. They also filled up my tires, topped off all my fluids, and checked to make sure everything looked alright under the hood. In the end, the smog was $65 and an oil change with regular oil was only $40!! I couldn't be be more satisfied and my car is already much happier. read more

Fast service and friendly customer service. I was anle to get my smog check done in 20 min. I have been here a couple of times and the smog checks are a decent price read more

I didn't have a good experience. My car is pre-1999 so they have to put it on the rollers to do the test. It was easily 20 minutes before they got the machine working. I witnessed a lot of fussing with their equipment, the tech playing with the air compressor to try to raise or lower the rollers, etc. During the test their equipment stopped responding and they had to reset the whole apparatus entirely. The tech stalled my car once (it's a manual transmission), they asked me to stand on this metal plate when doing a weight check because their computer was reading wrong (?), they had trouble holding the speed for the 15mph test and had to restart THAT portion of the test at least twice before getting it... *sigh* it was not good. In the end my car didn't pass. It's my belief their testing equipment is on its last legs or not well maintained. Frequently something 'wouldn't respond' during the hour long ordeal so the fact I failed a Communication With OBD2 Port Check didn't surprise me. Keep in mind my car passed emissions, passed the visual inspection and even passed the onboard pre-SMOG/EGR stuff that requires you to drive around a bunch. Clearly there's enough communication with the OBD2 port to do all that! lol ;) I left disappointed. I was offered the customary free re-test within a month, but my mind was made up and I wouldn't return. I went on Yelp the next morning and found a place with even better reviews that was open on July 4th!! I went to the new place, they took my car, they drove it onto the rollers, they directed me to a nice waiting room, and about 20 minutes later with no conversation or drama they gave me the paperwork for a successful, completed SMOG test. What a contrast to my afternoon with Swift Smog. read more

Took my car in a for a smog check. Hassan is more than amenable to your smog needs and will go as far as to you warn you if there is potentiality that the car might fail to save you money. Great customer service, fast in and out smog check! highly recommended! read more

Came here for the first time. Great customer service. Hassan was very apologetic about the unusual wait time and super busy shop, which he said was because the two cars in front of me wanted an oil change and smog check. He came to update me on the wait times a second time in case I wanted to return the next day, but I chose to stay since I really wanted to get it out of the way. I sat in my car and then in the outdoor canopied tent while they checked my smog for a few minutes. Would definitely return again next time. Very thorough service. With a tiny shop, they hustle moving the different cars out/around... Gotta reward their hard work and great work ethic. Pleasant, nice, friendly, and personable! read more

my smog check was very quick. my smog check was $65 which is the standard going rate for smogs in this neighborhood. very good customer service! read more

Stopped by to get my smog test done on my Toyota Corolla. Hassan was friendly and efficient (15 minutes!) Excellent service. Honest and very friendly guys. Will definitely be returning with my other vehicles.

Fantastic service from this shop! I've used them for smog the past few years, but Hassan also did my break job and today he replaced my battery. The price for the battery with installation, was literally $100 less than the battery alone from multiple local and on-line retailers, so I was very happy with that! He was also able to do the job within a few minutes of my arrival.. Thanks again! --Gary read more

Not fancy but efficient. This is bare bones. No onsite parking to wait your turn. But personable owner with a proper Computer set up Good price out the door. He told me I would need my license plate number and last 5 of the vin#. When I went online I was able to make the payment in 5 minutes. Well worth the drive to Culver City. read more

Took my Infiniti G35 here last weekend to get my smog check (test center only). I have a modified intake filter, which is Carb Legal, but my Carb sticker was on my old hood (switch from an accident). Not only did Hassan talk me through the process to obtain a new Carb sticker, but with information on the part number and where I purchased the equipment, he was able to look up and verify that my part was indeed street legal. Got my Carb sticker in the mail and the next day brought it back and was able to pass my smog test no problem. Great work and I will definitely be back! read more

Always exceptional service and our go to place for SMOG. They get you in and out very quickly too!

Hassan is such a great person. He is very welcoming and reliable. Literally in and out for like 5 mins for the smog check for my BMW X1. His price is very reasonable, and greeted customers with professional service and great vibe. I would highly recommend everyone come in here for smog check. You cannot go wrong with Hassan. Thank you Hassan, for making the process so easy and professional. I will come back and recommend to my friends. Go Hassan! read more

I highly recommend this place! I called several shops in my area and Swift offered the best pricing and walk-in service. I also checked for available discounts online and was able to save some money. I arrived around 4:00 pm on a weekday and only had to wait a few minutes for my turn. Hassan greeted me right away and was so friendly and polite. I give top marks for his superb customer service. I took a 10-minute stroll through the neighborhood and my car had passed the test by the time I returned. Quick and easy! read more

I was looking for a STAR Smog Center near my work and came upon Swift Smog (through a LivingSocial deal). I showed up arounf lunchtime and after maybe a 10 minute wsit, got my car smogged in no time. Hassaan (the owner) was a very nice young man, fast, friendly and efficient. And his price couldn't be beat. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'll be back in 2 years for my next smog check! read more

Easy, transparent and affordable would recommend. My partner took our Subaru for a smog check and his experience was so easy that he is making me write this review. Hassan got the job done, no nonsense, in and out in 15 minutes. Paid with cash app, job done. :) read more

Cheapest smog test station for sure. I called around to so many locations in Santa Monica that were $70-90 and found Swift Smog while i was in the area. The owner is also incredibly nice and upfront The only con was that they can only test one vehicle at a time and the little corner lot they are located at is very small. There isn't a lot of street parking available so if you have to wait, you might have to double park or circle back. Tip: Call ahead to schedule. read more

Hassan is awesome. I called first thing in the morning to get in. I felt bad because I ended up getting to him 2 hours later than I wanted, he was so cool about it though. Said he already ordered the part and it was there and ready so it worked out perfect. Was in and out. Great guy!!!! You must go supper him!!!! read more

An outstanding father and son business that I have been going to for years now. Hassan and his Dad are kind and caring local business that will take care of you in no time. In the era of major corporate businesses, it's more important now than ever to choose family businesses. Fortunately, Hassan has one of the best. You should go book with him now. I've been to a good number of different smogging stations during my time and never write reviews but I was so impressed with this spot and the workers here I had to post this. $50 (without discounts, promotions, or yelp check-in etc) in and out probably in about 15mins absolutely no hassle. Hands down the most painless smogging experience I ever had. The Hassan and the other younger gentlemen here were super friendly and polite. I would highly recommend this spot. Thanks! read more

Everyone here is super friendly, service is quick, honest guys who don't try to upswell you on stuff you don't need.

Came in today for a smog check without my paperwork (DMV sent to my old address). I thought I might have a problem based off of what my mechanic said but I was in and out in about 15 min with no problems and I passed! Quick, efficient and super nice guy. Would give 10 stars if I could! read more

Great, honest and reliable service! I've had my car worked on several times and they have always done a great job.

This Family owned business is one of the best, reasonably priced smog shops I found so far on the Westside. I would not have passed smog because my van sat for a while, and they told me to drive it a few days - without charging me! I could have gone elsewhere, and they took that chance. They were also busy but squeezed me in anyhow. Really nice guys. read more
