Got a smog test here for the first time because my previous shop closed and this place did a quick and smooth check! The owner is the kindest! He got me in and out within 10-15 minutes (this was with waiting for another car before me). Super quick & efficient! I made an appointment online the morning of and there were plenty of times to choose from. HIGHLY RECOMMEND making an appointment ahead of time. When I arrived, another women drove up without an appointment and she had to wait behind me & another women with an appointment. The owner goes by appointment first & then first come, first serve. The total cost of the Smog check was $88. Pretty expensive but equivalent to other locations on the west side, I'd say. The owner did ask if I had my renewal slip that I got in the mail to help speed up the process, so bring it if you have it handy otherwise it's not a big deal if you don't have it. This is my new spot for getting smog tests. read more

One of very few smog places open on a Sunday. Quick & easy process. Highly recommend.

Stayed after 4:00pm because of the time change with daylight savings, made a suggestion for how I should drive the car to reset a sensor that had been off since the battery was swapped out, and got it all done and sent in approval to the state in less than an hour. Overall one of the best experiences I've had getting a smog cert. read more

SMOG is definitely a scam here in California. That being said you will not get scammed by this man at State Smog in Mar Vista. Very Nice owner and operator. An honest, clean shop. No gouging or bullshit or excuses. Been coming her for years and highly recommend this business and welcomed service. read more

Great service Have been coming to get cars smogged for years Always good people and quick service read more

I've never received such great car service until I came here. The owner is an honest and hardworking man. I used to always get overcharged at other places, but he fixed my car for a very reasonable price. Even when I've come around closing time, he still takes the time to look at my car and help me out. Anytime I have a car issue, this is the only place I trust. read more

I've been going to State Smog Two for years and they're hands down the best. Super friendly, honest, and always quick! I'm in and out in no time. A bonus Outdoor Grill is in the same lot, so I usually grab a bite while I wait. Makes the whole thing easy and even enjoyable. Highly recommend! read more

Beautiful and wonderful family man who owns and operates this business. Thank you for the quick service!!

Walk-in? No problem. Incredibly nice and supportive business. Ellin (sp?) was wonderful. They offer $10 off on their site & it was honored just showing it to him on my iPhone. Clean waiting area with seating including a massage chair. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Very happy to recommend & wish I could give more stars! read more

Upfront, no hidden fees, professional, friendly, reasonable fees :) Thanks, Guys! read more

When I think of Smog Check places, I don't think "warm and friendly". These guys are. Not sure if it's a family operation, but it feels like it. Professional service for one of those "what a hassle" errands you have to run. read more

I had great service at State Smog Two. Bezu is not only competent on what he does, he also has great customer service skills. I am very happy with the service provided to me and will go back for sure! Shirley read more

We just went to this place for an emergency smog test and couldn't be happier. Bezu bent over backwards to accommodate us. (They are also more well-priced than others.) The service was outstanding, and they have longer hours of operation. This was a much different experience than I've had at some of the other smog places. I will only be gonig here from now on. read more

BEWARE!! Worst service I've ever received. Perhaps I should have ensured the owner was present while David Agam performed my smog check on a Thursday afternoon. Not only did he BREAK the gas door release button to my vehicle, he took my car keys away and refused to give them back until I paid for the "services". This individual is RUDE and has no customer service skills whatsoever. I had to call the POLICE in an effort for this individual to rectify the DAMAGE, but like the "man" that he is he closed the shop and left almost an hour early to avoid any confrontation with the police. I called the following business day to speak with the owner, but since David was the only one answering the phone he mockingly told me the owner was out for the day... shocking! The reason I even gave a rating is because I HAD to. By far THE worst experience I've had in servicing my car. read more

I take my car here for smog yearly and I can't leave a good enough review to give them justice. Bezu is nice, professional and time efficient. I usually just walk up with no appointment and it's handled fairly quickly. 100% recommend read more

Great service and they're open on Sundays. My smog check was quick so I didn't have to wait long at all.

Great service and efficient. I highly recommend State Smog Two for all your cars. He was fast and professional.

This is the most convenient and fastest smog check station! The gentleman who runs it is always extremely friendly and he does his absolute best to get people in out and as quickly as possible. There's also a great car wash spot (Handy J) that they are partnered with that's pretty much attached. Also, a big bonus for me, the waiting room is comfortable, clean and quiet which I appreciate so I can just read my book while checking this off of my to-do list. read more

Open seven days a week! What a concept!!! A service people can't do during the week is open on the weekend... Bezu the owner was there when i arrived. Greeted me with a smile and was genuinely happy for my business. Got me in and out really quick, and a free car wash on top of it. A+ Experience. I'll be back next time i need a smog check. read more

Such friendly, efficient, informative service provider. Highly recommend State Smog Two!

definitely should have listened to the reviews. made an appointment online -!: when I showed up the guy working responded with "I don't take appointments, I don't know what you're talking about". then complained that my car was out of state and how I'm making his job harder. I felt as if I had to babysit him, every time I looked in the shop he was doing something else. I completely regret coming here and I'll never come back again. the only redeeming factor is the fact that outdoor grill is right next door. read more

Above and beyond. I went to this location Address: 12630 Washington Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90066. The guy there was so nice. They don't do repairs but he looked at why my vehicle didn't pass and told me what to tell me mechanic. He even got under my vehicle to make sure what he was telling me was accurate. I was blown away at the service. Completely satisfied. read more

State Smog Two - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Needed a smog check to renew my car registration. Found this place on ca.gov site. Drove down there and got there by 8:30 am. They open at 9 (oops idea) but someone working at the garage next door called the smog guy and he was on his way. He arrived about 5 mins later and smog checked my car. It was quick, painless, and easy. I also got a free VIP car wash next door. I would definitely come back again. read more

If you want a tech who consistently talks over you and discredits you when you do the work he recommends you to do then this is your guy. I'd take my money elsewhere where they don't interrupt you. I'm sure the whole conversation would be different if I had a dick between my legs. read more

Didn't ultimately get a smog check here. I walked up, no one else in line. The gentlemen behind the counter quoted me a high price ($60+) and I was surprised, given how much higher it is from other smog service centers nearby. I tried negotiating, but he had a strong take it or leave it attitude. Easy decision, I left. read more

I gave two stars because I don't like the older guy who did my car because I find him to be discourteous and unpleasant. Perhaps he's feeling unhappy with his salary and gave me an attitude. Otherwise, he does a very quick service and gave my car a passing grade. Smog inspection cost $58. He was referred to by Ricky from Marina Tires along Washington Blvd 90066. read more
