I've been wanting a place like this in Henderson, so I was excited to find Legacy Woodworking. The…read moreshop is huge and has access to just about every tool you could want, including a CNC machine. Ken is awesome. He's incredibly knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and always willing to answer questions or help without making you feel intimidated. They offer open shop hours on certain days where you can come in and rent time by the hour. Whether you're just getting started or you've been woodworking for years, they offer classes and have everything you need to learn and build. I'm really happy it's so close to home and can't wait to keep working on my current project and many more to come. Highly recommend checking it out if you've ever wanted to get into woodworking.

When a furniture maker (like me) recommends a cabinet design/build shop like Legacy - you know it's…read morea honest review. Ken and Eric have not only have helped me with many larger projects that I couldn't complete on my own, but they also are the only place I recommend for high quality work. Just a word about me - I've been working in this industry for 40+ years, I've taught woodworking for 30+ years. I'm on the cusp of retirement, so these days, I take on much smaller jobs. I send most of my clients with larger projects to Legacy, and honestly, they're just about the only company I trust to do the job properly, with respect for your home. They pay keen attention to your needs, and will advise you with their years of expertise. Sure, there are a lot of cabinet shops in town, but there are also a lot of companies doing shoddy work, or worse - disappearing with your deposit. Legacy is NOT that kind of company. I saw one bad review - and that just doesn't make sense. Not a single person I've sent there has anything but stellar comments about the work they produce, whether it's freestanding furniture for a home, built-ins that require tricky installation, or commercial pieces for restaurants, offices, salons and more. They answer their phone, or will get back to you when they're free. Their pricing is very fair and transparent, and better yet - they're just the type of company that you trust coming into your home. (You don't want to hear my nightmare story about hiring a serviceman to clean my sooty fireplace... I'd sooner hire the devil before I'd use that company again.) People who leave a bad review on Yelp, when all the other comments are positive, make me wonder if they're the one with the issue, not the company. As a small business owner, it's frustrating to have a hundred happy clients, yet that one bad review is the one that gets all the attention. If you're looking for great work and a company that you can trust - I do believe Legacy is the company to contact.

I was told by Uttermost that I would have to buy a new mirror! I thought I was going to have to "junk" the expensive mirror that I'd really gotten attached to at the end of our dining room. Rudolf and Bruno took about five minutes looking at the mirror, its backing and frame. I could see the wheels turning in their heads to find a solution, and find a solution they did! Hallelujah! I thought it would require welding but they came up with another creative and super sturdy option. I was very happy with their professionalism, friendliness, efficiency and pricing and would not hesitate to call on them again for almost any other house project.

My friend is celebrating her birthday in Vegas. Like others she has had a rough year. I contacted…read morethis business because I wanted to surprise her. I loved the ease of the transaction. Once I initiated contact through Yelp, I was sent a text message. I explained that I wanted 10 balloons in different variations of pink(particularly hot pink since that is her favorite color) and six pink cupcakes (photos attached). I also specifically said that I wanted the items delivered at 6:30 PM. We agreed, and I was quoted delivery, gratuity ($50), and $52 for the cupcakes and balloons, for a total of $102. I actually don't have a problem with the delivery or gratuity charge. I'm paying for convenience and execution--and those charges were transparent. Execution is where the process fell short. (1) The delivery person called my friend at 11AM. Huh? That wasn't part of the plan and ruined the surprise element. That's not why I shared her number. (2) The items were left on the doorstep at 4 PM; we agreed to 6:30 PM?!! (3) I was never sent a confirmation. (4) I finally had to (tackily) ask my friend if she received the items and asked if she would send me photos (because now I was suspicious). The cupcakes are cute, but do not look like they could've cost $3.67 each ($22 total). The balloons did not have hot pink at all, and I'm pretty sure they came from the dollar store, so $11 with tax, not $30. I would've still paid the delivery and gratuity, just don't upcharge me. I was working from trust, and I'm deeply disappointed. If/when you use this service, either make sure you know exactly how much your item costs or ask for an itemized receipt before you use this service. I was hoping to lean on their familiarity with the area--you shouldn't. Additionally, just know that you won't get a confirmation of delivery of your items and the items may not be delivered as agreed. ****UPDATE**** Please see the owner's response below. I appreciate the detailed response (albeit after my review, otherwise, I would not have known anyone of this from the business) and only wish all of this would have been communicated to me (prior and during)--the change in delivery time, the itemized cost, including where the items were purchased from. Had I received any of the info written in the owner's response I wouldn't have been surprised, and would've known what I paid for. Instead, I got that info from my friend, the recipient. I even waited two days after before writing my review. No confirmation. You can see in my initial review that I NEVER say, "don't do business with this company," only to verify the aforementioned. I'll reiterate the ease of the transaction was great; the process would've been improved with providing the now listed details below (including where the the items came from and cost, and change of delivery time). An actual receipt for the items I paid for, but trusted the business to purchase would've been even better. This wouldn't be necessary if I knew where I was buying from and the cost prior. Calling so the receiver is not alarmed makes sense, but I still don't understand renegotiating the time I originally set; still it's a small detail and if it worked for everyone, great! I have updated my rating.

Nevada State Recycle made unloading a couple of old PCs so quick, easy, and painless!…read more I have a couple of old PCs that I had been carrying with me for many years. You used to be able to drop these off at Best Buy for free, but apparently a few years ago they decided to start charging $29.95 per piece. Yikes. $60 to "donate" a couple of old PCs. Wth?? That's when I finally started doing some searches and found this place! Check out their website for specifics as far what they accept and what they don't accept. It's pretty straightforward. There are a few items that do have a charge but its only a few items and everything is clearly laid out. I called to confirm because that felt a little "too good to be true" lol The guy on the phone was friendly and helpful and basically told me I could drop it off between sometime during normal business hours and you can even arrange to drop off on Saturday (by appointment). Anyways, I threw the monitors in the car and drove down to the place. I just pulled near the end of the dock and was greeted by who I assume was the guy I spoke to on the phone. This guy helped me unload the 2 PCs and was very nice and friendly. He explained that they drill holes through the hard drive and all that and that they don't refurb the drives at all.
