Brought in 3 laptops to sell, basically, offered me 500 dollars for about 1700 dollars worth of stuff. On top of that, they scratched my perfect condition Lenovo I was going to trade in. I'm going to be talking to the manager, and will update this as soon as i speak to him.

Choose these folks for your data recovery needs! I had two WD (called Western Digital when they…read moredrives were made) HDDs that I needed data from. I was unable to recover data from them in different ways. Disc one was an external drive that would not power on. I tried removing it from its external enclosure and powering it from another, more different enclosure to no avail. The system was indeed down. Disc two was an internal drive that used to be my C drive- my boot drive. I removed it from an old computer after it stopped booting and put it into an external enclosure. Several different computers (Mac & PC) would recognize it sporadically, though none could access the data on it- error codes always came up. Before I removed it, from the old computer, I tried booting from an optical disc and other assorted methods, many other assorted methods... I believe I was very thorough in my efforts. I sent both in and received near 100% recovery. They said it was 100% from one and 99.9% from the other but I am unable to find that .1%. I got all of this for just barely above the $300 price in their name (each, not total). So for about $600 total (including new discs on which my recovered data was transferred and return shipping) I got this incredible service. The total price I paid for both discs at 300DDR is less than I was quoted at several other places for one disc. At each step they were great communicators, from their receipt of the discs to my receipt of the recovered data. I hope I never need their services again but should, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I highly recommend them.

And worse it was the one that held all my photos over the last couple of years. I'm an engineer by trade and with other files, I might have tried to rescue them myself. For these important photos, however, I decided to go with the professionals. I did a bunch of research trying to find the best data recovery service to use and $300 Data Recovery turned out on top. The employees here are very professional and responsive. I submitted my chances form at 7:30PM on a Saturday and they got back to me within an hour. I was not expecting a response over the weekend. They gave very clear instructions on how to package and send off my SSD. I dropped it off at UPS the next day and by Wednesday, they confirmed they received the device and added me to the queue. Apparently there weren't too many people in line before me so I received a positive response the very next day. 100% of sectors recovered! A couple of days later they were completely done and after I confirmed they recovered my files (they send a master list of all files) and I paid ($300 fee + $105 recovery transfer drive + $25 shipping), they shipped my drive back. Total time from my first contact to receiving my data back: 16 days, and this was including Thanksgiving in between. I am very satisfied with the service I got from $300 Data Recovery. Hopefully I never run into drive trouble again (it certainly made me backup my files more frequently), but if I ever need help, I'll definitely contact them again. Now I can finally post all my Yelp reviews from November and December that I was missing photos for...

The damage I did to the drive required Five Star's clean-room service, and they quoted a flat rate to me in advance. The effort of recovering the data ended up being very challenging and took longer than any of us expected, but at the end Five Star was able to recover over 99% of the files--and I'm happy to say, the 1% of files were not important to me, so the 99% they recovered covered everything I needed. Despite that significant extra work, they invoiced me only for the original quoted amount. I'm happy with the results but also the professionalism. When I first reached out to Five Star, they got back to me at the start of the next business day and, after answering a few follow-up questions, I had a quote and scheduled to drop off my drive the same day. Vahan and Elen were particularly helpful and professional the entire way through. It was really a pleasure to work with them and I can't recommend Five Star enough!

Truly grateful for their prompt service and big shouts to Vahan for explaining how external hard drives work and the FSD recovery process. They fixed that last year in a weekend. The repair went so well I returned for a battery replacement. I'm a solo entrepreneur, so I run my business on my laptop.. If you have a serious, really serious (!) computer repair problem, Kaya at MACWEST can solve it,…read morewhen others can't. Believe me when I say that! And he's VERY reasonable. My story. My old 2000 MAC shorted and blew up (smoking, smelling bad) and destroying 12,500 music notation files (I'm a music prof and author of academic books). Heart-breaking! I bought a used 2000 MAC at Ebay and took it to an established computer repair place in LA hoping they could find a way to install MAC OS 9.2, Microsoft Office 2001, Acrobat 5, Mosaic 1.58 (music notation program) and recover all the files. After a frustrating month (they tried diligently), they told me they couldn't solve it. Because ...it was very old computer stuff, and so many issues. Old floppies, etc, etc. They couldn't make it work. They suggested I take it to Kaya at MACWEST because he had "more tools." I took my Ebay computer to Kaya and left it with him for several days, hoping against hope. He recognized all the issues, did an incredible amount of research, installed all the programs, AND recovered ALL 12,500 files, AND got them into their pristine location (with the complete subfolders structure). Absolutely Amazing! He phoned me several days later informing me what he had achieved, the solution, and the processes he had employed. I began to realize the enormous effort and care he had undertaken for me. So happy, I could barely believe it as I had begun to give up all hope. For the next hour, I was literally pacing around the house in excitement. I could not sit down. Slept little that night. When I came in for the next day pick up, Kaya quoted me a VERY modest price, so modest I felt it was grossly unfair to him. I paid him more than double what he quoted. And I could have tripled it and have felt completly satisfied. When you find a person like Kaya, your relationship with that person becomes important. It helps you to believe again in the human race. I say, without reservation and having learned from actual experience, when you have a serious computer problem, GO TO KAYA at MACWEST! You won't be disappointed.

Wow, first to review!…read more OK, so last week my hard drive completely crashed - zero, zip, nothing - BLACK screen. No worries, I thought, I have an outside hard drive - all is well and everything is saved. WRONG - my Outlook files, containing years of valuable client contacts and my QuickBooks files, for some reason, had not automatically updated. Facing the very real possibility of having to redo all of my financials for the last 6 months and completely losing all of my contacts and important business-related, was a total nightmare - and the more research I did into data-recovery companies around LA, the less I trusted them - and the price quotes were unreal! MURDER!!! Everything from $360 minimum to $3500 for what I knew for my hard drive should be a relatively simple process. And along came PC Quick Digital Services and Mr. Carlos Manlio. He was helpful, he was professional, he came to my house to review the hard drive and within hours he had it back to me, was able to move my old hard drive information to my new hard drive in no time and all for a very fair agreed upon price. Carlos is honest, trustworthy, prides himself on customer service and did a phenomenal job. I count my lucky stars that I found him as he saved me countless hours, money and stress. If ANYTHING goes wrong with your computer, call PC Quick - they will save you!!!
