Highly recommended, professional Apple service that is a lot more flexible and accommodating than the Official Apple Stores. I have a 2021 Macbook Pro that was missing a single key, I took it to the Apple Store on 3rd street Promenade first. Because the mounting tabs were damaged they told me it needed the entire keyboard replaced with the entire top case (apparently it comes as a whole assembly). Apple Store wanted me to leave my laptop there for 5-7 business days (!!!). When I questioned why so long, they said they're very busy. Then I asked if I could just bring in the laptop when it's my turn and leave it for only one day, they said that's not possible as they didn't work that way. Well, as my primary and only work computer I cannot be without it for that long, but they didn't care (btw I have AppleCare+, but it didn't make a difference). Long story short, I took the laptop to Mac911 and they told me they'd order the replacement part and I could just bring in the laptop for one day to get the work done once the part arrives. Sure enough, I dropped it off a Saturday morning and by closing time it was ready for me. What the Apple Store wasn't willing to do they did it without any hassle. A+, thank you Felix! read more

Took my MacBook Pro to Mac 911 a week ago. Freak accident, water seeped in from my outer leather case. My fault. A screenwriter and comedy writer with my whole career in that machine. I wasn't positive all my data had been saved to the cloud. I also wasn't sure how to do a definitive check on it. Not only did Mac 911 NOT show me how to check, they charged me $175 to crack it open and do a diagnostic and charged me $407 to recover my data on an external hard drive. I'm thankful they were able to recover it, but everyone I've spoken to has told me I WAY overpaid. They wanted to charge me $1800 to send it out and fix it. "It's a 2019 anyway, it didn't have much time left," I was told. They knew I was broke and panicked and it feels like they saw me coming. Feel totally taken advantage of, and, frankly, Don has all the warmth and personality of dried brush on the side of a dirt road. He seems rather indifferent about the importance of one's machine. HE's a machine. Mac 911 would be my last choice for problems with your Mac product. They're great if you're rich. They bled me dry. Sure wish my computer stayed dry. read more

You'll need 911 if you take your business here! I came in to replace my cellphone batteries. Felix didn't have any IPhone batteries in stock. What kind of tech repair shop does't have iPhone batteries? He ordered them and said he would need to work on my phone for 3-4 hours when the new batteries arrived. After waiting a week for the new batteries, I texted Felix and said I would try to bring my phone back either later that day or the following day. Turns out, my baby grandson got sick that afternoon, so I stayed home to take care of him. When I tried to bring my phone in the next day, Felix texted that he had already shipped the batteries back. He said it was "Apple policy." That's a lie. Apple has no such policy. Luckily, I happened to be in the Westfield Mall and saw a kiosk called Broken We Can Fix It. And viola! My phone was fixed in 20 mins on the spot. I also found out Geek Squad at Best Buy keeps batteries in stock for all kinds of IPhones, and they only require 30-40 mins to install. If the real 911 was this bad, we'll all be in big trouble! read more

Very unhelpful experience today. I've been in many times having someone at the front attempting to help me with usually small questions about my computer. Today, I went in asking for help trying to simply post a photo on Facebook with my iPhone just to be met by a dismissive man, possibly the owner, who simply said, sorry, we don't help with things like that. Disappointing, thought I could rely on them. I don't recommend this place. So much for a small neighborhood experience. read more

Foremost, Apple's Own "Genius" bar or solutions or whatever they want to call themselves was absolutely of no help whatsoever.... Matter fact they DIDN'T really want to help unless you had made a big purchase recently ..... And even if you did they were going to make you jump through hoops ..... Anyways I called up Mac911 ....Gentleman by the name of Felix answered all necessary questions and went out his way to make recommendations .... The "Other" Repair Stores would All Basically say: Uh Sorry You just going to have to Bring it in ...... Apple Company , the Other Service pairs all lack pure simple HONEST Customer Service ...... MAC911 is the place for me ....Thanks Felix ... And Thank You Greg for referring me ! You can count on them! read more

Brought in my trusty MacBook Pro M1 after spilling water on it - I first took it to the Apple Store, but they told me the only option was to have them ship it off to a service center somewhere. I drove to Mac 911, stopped in, and they were able to get me up and running perfectly again the very same day. My go-to for Mac emergencies now - highly recommended! read more

So your MacBook Pro of 4 years refuses to start after some battery charging issues, and you cannot find an appointment with a genius at Apple, who do I turn to, Mac 911. Super easy to get an appointment. I turn in my laptop and they said within a day they will diagnose and confirm the issue. I get a call within 24 hours, that the issue is a fault IO logic board, they have it in stock, and can do it for a very reasonable price, within an hour! I was dreading paying a ton since they charge $145/hour for diagnostics if you do not have Apple Care+, but it all worked out with very reasonable labor charge and a very very cheap part that's officially from Apple, that also comes with a 90 day warranty. Ali was great and very responsive. We approved the estimate and got everything done on text. Pickup was easy, no lines, no wait. If you have an issue with your Mac, you may be better off avoiding the lines and parking issues (park for free on 3rd street and walk) or get easy metered parking in front of shop. I am pleasantly surprised and will recommend them for any out of warranty or within warranty Mac issues! read more

Giant thanks to Felix and the crew at Mac 911 - My Macbook Pro crashed on a Friday and they had it fixed and had it back to me by the following Tuesday. It has a new logic board and is working great! Thanks guys! read more

Super nice. Super efficient. Busted MacBook Air keyboard on Wednesday repaired and returned by Friday!

Went in having issue with my MacBook Pro laptop battery. Was given service and a solution very quickly. Great staff and great work.

I'm not one to generally write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so here as I was so impressed by Felix and his commitment to troubleshoot and find the core issue for why my laptop crashed and could not restart. He's a great communicator and does excellent work. Mac 911 (and Felix specifically) was a lifesaver! read more

This will be a "No-Brainer". Woke up this AM to discover my MacBookPro would not charge, tried three different adaptors, nada. Hopped online ordered a new adaptor, and paid the vig to have it delivered. An hour or so later with new adaptor in hand and all plugged in...still nada. Called Mac911, told them the issues, they said bring it in, we'll diagnose your Mac, and if it's a simple issue and we have the parts we should be able to fix it in a day. Took the BBB over to Main Street was assisted right away. Hw took my MacBook and new adaptor tried it and once again..nada. He then tried my new adapter with his usb-c to usb-c cord and VOILA, my MacBookPro came back to life. He suggested I get a new cord, I laughed...(like an idiot) and told him I had three brand new usb-c cords at home. Asked what I owed him and Mac911 has been around for years, and I'm sure glad they're there. Saved my life as this is the beginning of my "Silly Season" at work. THANK YOU Mac911 for great service. read more

Fantastic service! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! I was having trouble with my 4+ year old iPhone XS Max and called Apple Care & found out that my battery was at 77%! Evidently it's never supposed to go below 80% or your phone could just stop working. I can;t afford to let that happen... could anyone?? I'm sure most people would just buy a new phone but I have zero funds so found out I could buy a new battery and have it installed for about 1/10th the cost of a new phone. I used money from my GiveSendGo campaign to purchase the new battery. The Apple Care rep told me I could go to the 3rd Street Promenade Apple Store to deal with this and I said absolutely not cuz there's too much crime there; I've already been a victim of crime at the hands of a drug addicted violent monster and don't want to be anywhere near these dangerous whacked out zombies roaming our streets ---- that our horrendous City Council actually allows and encourages to persist! The Apple Care rep told me about Mac 911, an Apple authorized store, and that worked out perfectly for me. Felix took care of everything as promised at the price promised. My phone is very happy and so am I. :) And can I just say I will be loyal to Apple as long as they keep up their excellent customer service and products. They are absolutely excellent!!! read more

My pup knocked over my computer and cracked the screen. Came in, zero wait and they gave me a quote - it was high but that's life - and in the end, they fixed my computer no problem. The screen also took a bit longer than expected to come in (they had to order it from Apple) but they called me with updates so I was never in the dark. Overall, was a bit easier than going to the big Mac store and much closer to my house so I'll be back if I ever have any other issues. read more

They are very honest and do not perform unnecessary repairs. Their prices are very reasonable and the turnaround time is much better than Apple Store. Highly recommend this place. read more

Excellent service and such remarkable customer service. Very rare these days. They shipped my MAC to Apple for a battery replacement and ordered a new charger for me. It was ready in 4 days. Support this small business! read more

Where to Start? 2019 MacBook Pro died after a security update thanks to my company's IT department! Came here on recommendation by the Apple store on 3rd St. in Santa Monica, after they couldn't revive the Machine & said to see these guys to investigate getting my data off the hard drive first. Well Ali did it all ! First he communicated about things - text messaged me on updates - got my data off my hard drive, annnnd was able to resurrect the Mac via an update to the T2 security chipset! Amazing outcome & great service! read more

This place is the real deal. Fixed my lap top as promised within 24 hrs for $95! Felix was great, best experience I've had servicing any apple device . Skip the long waits at the apple store and head over to these guys. read more

It's not often that i give 1 star reviews but this one was too easy to give. I made an appointment online via Apple to get my iPhone screen fixed as the front is cracked. I made an appointment at 12:20 which i arrived on time. With no greeting or hello, i told the guy i had an appointment and issue. Took about 10 minutes for the him to tell me that they can't fix my phone because they don't have any more screens and it will take 2-3 days. If that was the case, why did you allow me to set an appointment via Apples website. You can obviously tell the guy didn't care and I wasn't going to waste anymore of my time as I just went down the street. Extremely bad experience and will not recommended. read more

Mac 911 is a fantastic business. I've been getting my laptops serviced here for decades. Even if a fair amount of time goes by between visits, Ali always remembers me. He is extremely knowledgeable, service is quick, he responds to emails right away, and he is honest. Having Mac911 around gives me one less thing to stress about when computer issues arise. read more

A pauper, a prince, a poet, an underdog, a hero, an artist, a lover, a fighter, a healer of wounds. They said it couldn't be done (they being the Apple store), but they don't know Ali. Swiftly and semi-confidently, Ali took my most beloved Macbook Pro into triage. He explained all my options and what was likely, texting me updates and detailed options about how to save my precious baby as fast as possible because he too knows how dire it is to be Macbook-less during midterms. What happened next? A classic underpromise overdeliver. He gave me all the options on how to proceed and whether or not we should order new parts or try some hail mary solutions. Up to a week he said, he'll try he said. TRY LESS THAN 24 HOURS! Got her back to me with time to spare. Essay: turned in. Coding project: submitted. My Papa's Pizzeria high score: saved. Ali was clear, quick, capable, and is obviously my new best friend. Water damage fears him. A god amongst men. read more

This is one of those types of places you hate to go because it means something broke, you're gonna have to spend money and you're in a vulnerable position where they know more than you do and you may get hosed.... Not so with Mac 911. A month or so ago, I started to get alerts my battery on my 2012 MacBook air was dying and needed to be replaced. Because my laptop has been obsoleted by Apple Store they pointed me to Mac911 who took care of the problem in about 45 minutes for what I consider to be a very reasonable price (same or similar to apple store). Immediately saw improvements to my computers speed, and battery lifecycle. Recently something started to happen where the battery would indicate full charge but then the laptop would just shut down unless sit was plugged in. Yesterday I called mac 911 and was told they'd need it for a few days to figure out what was wrong with it. So today, I went back in and was prepped to be without my laptop for a few days. When I got there the guy took a look at the computer, ran a diagnostic, opened up my mac swapped out the battery with a new one - apologized for getting a defective one and sent me on my way all within 15 minutes. While they may not be the greatest over the phone (sounding all doom and gloom with no personality) I think they are great in person. Quick. Attentive. And I truly appreciated not getting some crazy runaround to buy a new battery again or pay for diagnostics or some such crap Ive had pulled at other types of businesses. Hope I never have a computer take a dump on me, but if I do and its off warranty, Mac911 has my business. read more

Been here twice, once because my cat took a bite out of my mac book pro display and broke it, and the other because my keyboard (butterfly) key broke off and wouldn't reattach. Both times I needed no appointment, just walked right in and was immediately greeted. They handled all the repairs and processed with apple care so I don't see why I would ever need to suffer through the 'genius' bar at the app store ever again. Thanks! read more

Apple told me it was going to be $476 just to fix one small button on my keyboard and an additional $199 to get my battery replaced. On top of that, I would have to leave my computer with them for 3-5 business days. When I called Mac 911, I told them what was wrong and informed them that my battery was fried and they replied with enthusiasm that it was perfect that both my keyboard and battery were having issues because those parts are connected and I would be getting pretty much a two for one deal. They informed me if I dropped off my computer in the next two hours I could have it back in two days. They were fast, kind, and my laptop is in perfect shape. I am so happy I chose to go to Mac 911! read more

I can't tell you how pleased I am with the service here. The Apple store failed to correctly diagnose a problem several months ago which came back just recently. The Apple Store was going to charge me over $700 for a new part and service, and I was thinking of just simply buying a new computer that would have run me over $2000. When I brought my computer in, Ali correctly diagnosed the problem in about a day and guess how much the replacement part was? $30! And it was the same issue which I had pointed out to Apple and they mistakenly said it was not that problem. I couldn't be more happy. Even if my computer is under warranty in the future, I'm bringing it here and asking for Ali. read more

I have a 2010 Macbook Pro and it was just so slow I was considering making the jump to a 2018 model. I didn't really want to pay $2,000 for a new one, so I started exploring my options. I heard a story of someone who upgraded their hard drive and it fixed a ton of issues. Long story short, I decided I'd go for the new hard drive to see if that'd save me money. I called Mac911 because I live in Santa Monica and wanted a close fix. I didn't expect much, but Allie told me about my options. I brought it in and same day it was ready! I spent $350 and got a 1TB SSD hard drive. When I got home, to my complete shock, my Macbook Pro runs like I just bought it!!! They cleaned it up too so it looks kinda new. I had an extremely pleasant experience at Mac911 and would highly recommend them to any Mac owner. Thanks Allie. read more

When the Apple Store told me they wouldn't hold the battery their ordered for my work laptop till I could go in the following week, I turned to Mac 911. The guys were very helpful and super nice. AMAZING for computer Apple Repairs, does not service iPhones. I've gone here twice for repairs under AppleCare to my MacBook Air and pro. There typically no wait compared to the Apple store and their turnaround is faster! I've had laptops go out for entire screen and logic board swaps and they came back in 2 to 3 days. Sorry it has taken me a while to write this review. These guys are great! Came back in January to fix an issue on my old MacBook Pro - had a battery issue. Would definitely bring my services back to them for my Mac needs. Thank you. read more

So much better than going to the apple store. GREAT customer service and fast turnaround.

I can't say enough good things about these guys. They were up front and clear, quickly took in my computer and diagnosed in front of me (I had a black screen that needed to be replaced), AND let me know possible turn around times for getting computer back (5-7 days). They even let me know all options if I didn't want to have screen replaced by them. I had called a few other other places that gave me runaround about diagnosing. (Unitek said it would take my computer for 10-12 days...diagnosing would take SEVEN DAYS). MAC911 hands down made my week with their professionalism AND I got my computer back in couple days!!!!!!!!!!!! I know not every computer problem can be that quick, but I am so amazed by how fast my situation turned compared to other places!! THANK YOU Mac911!!!!!° read more

My 13 month old MacBook Pro, just weeks past its warranty expiration, suddenly stopped working. I called Apple. "New logic board required," they said. $800. "Do you offer discounts during pandemics?" I asked. "Nope." I took it to Mac 911 instead. For less than $100, they looked at it, realized the firmware had somehow gotten zapped, fixed it, and returned it to me in under 24 hours. No data loss, no $800 paid to the largest corporation on Earth. I couldn't be happier. Thanks for the great service, guys! read more
