The battery in my iPhone was dead. According to the folks at Apple, the only solution was to send my phone in (all stores were closed due to the pandemic) and they'd replace the battery and return it, which would render my without a phone for 3-5 days (or longer). My solution was to drop my phone off at Cellular Expo, where the battery was replaced and returned to me in 45 minutes. And, at the same cost that Apple would've charged. WISH IT COULD BE NEGATIVE STARS! I went to this shabby little place because I was desperate to repair the rollerball on my Blackberry. I paid a hefty $50 for the repair only, not a new ball or any new parts. I was told it would have been more if they had to "crack" the phone to remove the ball. In any case, within 2 weeks of the "repair," the rollerball stopped working. I went back in today. The manager was extremely rude to me and told me he would only do an additional repair at no cost if I had my receipt from 2 weeks earlier. Apparently, they have a 30 day policy for subsequent repairs if the same problem arises in that time, BUT you need the original receipt. At the store, I was never told to keep the receipt for 30 days or their policy. The receipt indicated nothing of the sort. There are no signs at the store indicating this policy either. Needless to say, I never thought I needed to keep this benign receipt, so I didn't have it anymore. I nicely asked if they could look me up in their records to ascertain the date of the original repair, and explained that I had no idea about this receipt/repair policy. The manager barked at me that it would be easier (for him) if I called my credit card company so he knew what date I had initially paid. Well, I had paid cash. At that point, they wanted to charge me another $50 to do the same repair. I was very upset. The people there were unnecessarily rude and don't want to help their customers. It was my first time there, and I will certainly never return. By the way, I hobbled in with a cast after having had recent foot surgery, and the manager still insisted that l should somehow determine the date of the initial repair. Meanwhile, my husband waited in the car for me because I can't drive at the moment, and the rude manager wouldn't lift a finger to check his records for my name when he obviously had the ability to do so! Don't listen to any of the one-star reviews on here. They're written by bratty, entitled people who can't wrap their heads around concepts like patience and damaged-beyond-repair. The two screens of my android HTC had both cracked and the phone went pitch-black - but I could hear that I was receiving calls/texts. Solomon said he would have to order the parts. It took a week to fix, because the parts didn't come in right away when he ordered them. Completely understandable. Now my phone is back and working just fine. So happy I didn't have to pay more for a new phone AND lose all my contacts/photos. read more

DO NOT DO BIZ WITH THIS PLACE!!! The owner Solomon loves to waste time. I brought my old iPhone 5 in to sell purely as a way to purge and get rid of old belongings, not overly concerned about the selling price. The phone did have some physical screen damage but I figured they would give me a deal considering they specialize in screen replacements. The cost to fix the screen to them is nominal allowing for potential profit still from the item. When looking online the resell ranged from $75-150 depending on condition etc. I had already reset the factory settings but was struggling to delete my iCloud from the device. The owner or buyer (or both), Solomon, said essentially that if I could figure it out he'd give me $25. I said fine because again I wasn't seeking the money I was more so seeking to get rid of the phone since I have the latest and greatest iPhone 7. Even though my iCloud clearly displayed my photo it was as if he was treating me like a scammer. Leaving me to my own devices to figure out why for some reason it wouldn't accept my iCloud password on the old hardware to sign out, even though it was accepting the password on my new and current device which uses the same iCloud account. He left me at the counter with zero pointers or suggestions and muttered something to the effect of maybe he wouldn't take it even though he had already made an offer pending the iCloud deletion. The situation forced me to think on my feet so I then asked if he had wifi. He said yes almost reluctantly and then came over to type in his store wifi password himself, implying a lack of trust. As if I were going to be hanging outside of his building stealing his wifi or something, the nerve! I should have just walked out then but once he logged into wifi it seemed as though the phone was trying to now process the iCloud password. However it kept cycling in and out of wifi and the battery was low. Something told me I should simply plug it in to a charger but he made it seem like I was inconveniencing him by being there even though he had no other customers in store and wasn't really actively helping me. I even said to him at one point "it is okay if I stand here and keep trying right?" To which he then realized his level of unprofessional dismissiveness and said "of course!" It made me not want to try the plugging it in option even though I had def thought of it. He provided no suggestions or ideas of how to resolve the issue to make my phone "sellable". I told him I would go to the Apple Store and comeback and he said fine. Upon going to the Apple Store the employee there immediately knew what the issue was and my phone was restored to factory settings with my iCloud no longer associated. Want to guess what they did? They plugged it into a charger. It instantaneously accepted the password and performed the hard erase! You would think someone who has owned this biz for over two decades (his own claim to fame) would know that this was necessary. I returned to his store ready to sell my phone for the nominal price offered and happy to put this errand to bed since it took a decent portion of my day to accomplish. I told him about the Apple Store and how quickly they resolved the issue and sort of indicated to him that now he will know for future customers--I could tell he didn't like that but ultimately only my time was wasted not his. He then tried to log into his wifi network which worked two hours prior no problem and also a different network at the Apple Store. After a couple failed wifi connect attempts he looks up and says "I pass"... too which I replied are you serious!? Not only had he already made the offer with the stipulations I had fulfilled but he has seen it work on his wifi network before and obviously at the Apple Store it worked or I wouldn't have been able to accomplish the iCloud reset. He nonchalantly said he would pass with a dismissive look on his face again. I sat there at his counter again trying to troubleshoot (do his job for him). I then noticed that it even says on the connect screen that issues with wifi may be alleviated by signing into iTunes. I told him this and he really didn't care. He had already made up his mind that wasting a chunk of my day for nothing was the right move. I was highly upset and tried to show him what the device explicitly said about wifi connect but he didn't want to see or hear it. I told him his service was HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL and he simply didn't get it. I ended up selling my device to the eco-ATM cash for electronics machine across the street in the westside pavilion food court where not only did I get better and faster service from a digital robot, I even got more money for my item than his original non-committal offer. Of course my phone had no trouble connecting to ECO-ATM wifi probably because it's more powerful ...DO NOT GO TO THIS BIZ. Save yourself some time, energy, money and stress!
