Good communication, somewhat smooth move process, tricky payment…read more This my first time using movers, so bear with me. To detail, my move took 4 hrs vs 2hrs. Mr. Griffin was very understanding that I wanted to protect my things. I just did not realize that this request would double my move total time for a 1 bdrm, even with dual elevators in my bldg. I didn't realize that time was the sacrifice for care in moving. Secondly, payment was tricky. I didn't think to ask. Tbh, I was so happy to find reasonable movers, I didn't confirm. I would recommend Zelle or Cash, from my experience. Stay away from CashApp. Overall, I was happy with the move. They were very helpful in placing the heavier items for me, too. At least now I know what things to cover for my next move. Happy Moving...

Here is a professional, polished version of your statement while preserving your concerns and…read moredetails: I have hired professional movers several times over the past seven years, and this was by far my worst experience. The crew worked extremely slowly, which appeared to unnecessarily increase the total time billed at an hourly rate. They were also poorly prepared for the move, arriving with only one dolly and lacking the necessary tools to properly disassemble my furniture. As a result, I had to arrange additional help, and the move significantly exceeded my two-hour move-out time slot. This delay forced us to find alternative ways to access my apartment and transport my belongings. Despite arriving at 10:00 AM, the movers did not begin disassembling my bed until 1:45 PM. Additionally, the owner chose to send a truck that was far too small for my move, even though I had reviewed the full inventory of my apartment with him twice in advance. I ultimately had to use my own heavy-duty wagon to assist with moving items downstairs in an effort to keep the process moving. There was also a clear lack of care in handling my belongings. Items such as a glass mirror and a fabric headboard were not properly wrapped, and I had to personally intervene to ensure they were protected. Due to limited space in the truck, I was forced to transport some items in my own vehicle. We did not arrive at the new apartment until nearly 4:00 PM. At that point, the owner complained to me about "working for free," which was highly inappropriate given that I was paying for the service. I then had to address multiple false statements and contradictions regarding the charges. The owner initially attempted to charge just under $1200 for the move and presented a "discounted" rate of $980, which I did not accept. I ultimately paid just over $800 for a two bedroom apartment and 5 mile move that took nine hours, which I still feel was excessive considering the poor service and damages incurred. My furniture was improperly assembled, scratched, and dirty, and items were crammed into an undersized truck. In one instance, screws were driven into the back of my dresser, causing visible damage and holes. Hardware was not properly secured or labeled; instead, screws were kept loosely in the movers' pockets rather than being bagged and attached to the corresponding furniture. I have included photos from the move. Notably, the truck provided--described by the owner as being in good condition--had a hole covered with duct tape and a cracked windshield. Overall, this company is poorly managed and highly unprofessional. I strongly recommend against using their services. If possible, I would have rated this experience zero stars. I failed to mention that he made disparaging commas about his own staff, specifically their inability to load the truck properly and how 1 like to do more of one thing than the other. He said one person with a lawyer and one person with a simpler which was causing the slowdown. He claims to train all of his staff, but at negative things to say about them. After nine hours, he neglected to even offer them any food or beverages. Not to mention this was only a two bedroom apartment move.

They sub the work out to small groups of people with trucks. will quote your job and when they show up, whatever they can't fit in the truck.. they just don't take. No discount for making me have to take the items even though they said they would take all my things. Even worse over the phone they said they would break down and rebuild all my items that needed it(even though I said I'd do it for some money off... she said it was included in the price so even if I did it, it would still cost the same.. ok I let them do it) now when we're inside the room, they tell me they never rebuild things due to liability purposes. Whatever, I've never heard that but ok. I went to build my babies crib... and I find out WHY they couldn't "rebuild it" they pulled 80% of the screws out with force, instead of using the right tool. Imagine trying to put it back together? Impossible. They ruined a $1000 crib. I call them to have them come and fix it, as it was in the same place they left it, lady (I think it's Laurie?) The two men did a great job handling our items and making sure that they got to their destinations. They were very professional, patient, and helpful. We paid about $600 for the service & we were very pleased with the price because movers are usually more than that. The items were placed in their correct areas and everything came in their condition it was before the move (so far, that I've seen). The movers were very friendly and had great communication. My husband did help with some items because he's particular about things but he didn't mind. I'd also like to note for everyone to remember that movers are still people and not machines. They deserve respect and care as well. I asked them if they wanted food (primarily my husband) and he offered to them as well and they took a break (off the clock) and then they were done shortly after that. I'd definitely suggest this company for moving. I love family companies so I'll always work to support.

I want to share my dreadful experience with CCE Express, a moving company owned by Tony, with…read morepotential customers. In my opinion, this company is dishonest and unprofessional, which made my moving experience profoundly frustrating. Tony presented himself as a hardworking family man, accompanied by his young sons, which made me believe that I was supporting a respectable, small family business. However, the trust I placed in him was misplaced. Despite moving just three blocks, from 8th and Juniper to 5th and Juniper, the experience was a nightmare. The team Tony brought was inexperienced and careless, which resulted in the breakage and damage of belongings worth thousands of dollars. It was not just the monetary loss, but also the sentimental value of these items that added to the distress. Moreover, the team was inefficient and took significantly longer than promised, showing a lack of motivation and professionalism. This inefficiency was frustrating and resulted in additional stress and inconvenience. Adding to the dishonesty, Tony claimed to own two trucks, including one large enough for my entire apartment. However, he showed up with a rented U-Haul truck, which was completely unprepared for the task at hand. In conclusion, I regret choosing CCE Express for my move, and I urge anyone considering this company to rethink their choice. In my opinion, CCE Express, under Tony's management, lacks integrity, professionalism, and basic competence. Tony promised to fix/replace all of the broken/damaged items. The move was August 31st. It is now November 14th and not a single item has been fixed or replaced. For anyone who wishes to discuss this further or seek more information about my experience, please feel free to reach out to me personally. I also added just a FEW of the photos of damage to this review.
