As an update to my previous post before the actual work was started, the job is now complete. Eric Bell took care of the proposal and scheduled our service. I believe it was Jose Herrera who was the supervisor on site with another gentleman. All three guys did a great job and replaced all three meter poles in one day. We needed a few electrical tasks done as we were getting our home ready to put on the market. In particular, there was a set of wall switches that were a wiring nightmare done by someone previously. I called A1 Plus Electrical and they promised an estimator would come out the next day. Jose came out just to do an estimate. In 15 minutes, we had a very reasonable estimate, and 45 minutes after that, all the work was done! Everything works great and we are ready to go on the market knowing that we are not passing on any wiring problems to the next owner. read more

I only need a water heater timer installed and they contacted me and wanted to make a big deal out of it, he said they send technician to give an estimate. It is a Sales person not a technician. I told them no, Sales people i throw out. If they are not intelligent enough to tell me how much, then i don't need or want them. Update: After a second day and several hours, the electricity in our home is working. However, we have a water well and when we turn it on, instead of it working, a light in our garage turns on. I can only give one star unfortunately. I wish I could give negative. I'm not sure what company the glowing reviews are from but we did not deal with them. I'm not sure they were even electricians. It was very scam-ish. I will have to have another real electrician come in and fix everything they didn't do correctly. read more

I was told that if the Generac standby generator was installed in that particular area close to the gas meter where we spent time talking, the cost would be $7,500 all in and running. Later, when the written estimate came, there was an additional $2,500 for electrical wiring. Lance said that his quote was if it were on the other side of the house, which we never discussed. They did not show up for an appointment that was supposed to take place between 10:00am and 1:00pm. I called and they said they'd check with the technician and then call me back. They never called back. So I had to call a second time and they said the tech was way behind and could "possibly" get to my house at 4:30pm but they didn't know for sure. Where do I even start? The WORST electrical company you could ever use. EVER. I am begging you - stay away from this company. We had them out in AUGUST to rewire for a sauna that was being installed for a client. I sent them all the specs and what was needed: 240 volt, 15 amp, Nema 6-15p outlet. I went over this multiple times and they swore they had it down. Well, it is now JANUARY and after FOUR visits to the home, they just got it right. First time they came back was because they didn't even replace the outlet for the plug like I specifically told them (that should be the easy part, right??) Justin is horrible at his job and gave me massive attitude after I put up with their bs for months. I told them multiple times something wasn't right because the sauna would not heat up. He literally told me I was wrong and their tests showed the outlet was producing 240v. WELL, after hiring another electrician to come out and check, the reader showed 122v. I then had to schedule A1 to come out YET AGAIN while the other electrician was there to prove to their face they were wrong. A1 left wires disconnected and did not wire for the correct voltage. They have not offered us a refund or even a partial refund for this 5 month headache. To make matters worse, this sauna was for a client undergoing chemotherapy and he simply wanted this sauna to help detox. A1 is heartless, and Justin is a moron. I asked many times to speak to the company owner or to whoever is above Justin, and he continuously told me he is the highest person to talk to. Ok justin, WHATEVER. YOU DO NOT OWN A1. I hope this gets seen by whoever actually owns the company. If you had heard what Justin said to me, and how many times he ignored my calls or refused to call me back when I KNEW something was not done correctly, he would be fired. Disgusting company and a waste of over $2000. The underground electrical cable from our home generator to the transfer box was damaged by an AT&T subcontractor and had to be replaced. A-1 did the job and did it very professionally and quickly. I highly recommend A-1 electrical. read more

A1 Electrical replaced the electrical breaker box system at my property. There were several issues why the work was sloppy and poorly supervised 1. Initially they failed to label the breakers and the ground wire was wrong. The city inspector failed they inspection. 2. The installation crew damaged the gutter, did not seal the roof pipe properly against water, left the telephone box hanging unsupported, and left the incoming power wires hanging. 3 When Center Point came to turn the power on, they taped the power wires up and said A1 should properly support the wires 4. After A1 came back to address the city inspectors problems, A1 had trouble getting Center Point to turn the power on and asked me to call Center Point to expedite the turn on. 5. The electrical meter that was installed reads "ERROR" . I dont know if that is a safety issue but A1 asked me to resolve it. I disagree and think A! installed it and should get it corrected. 6. I had paid a deposit with my credit card. Before they addressed the issues I have raised , they used that credit card for the final payment without my approval. I demand that they destroy any record of my credit card that they now have . read more

Had electric line cut by fence builder. Called A1 Plus Electrical. Technician looked at problem, then tried sell a lot of unnecessary repairs such as a new electric panel box etc. Then gave an estimate on his cell phone nothing in writing. I made the mistake of signing, later to find out it was a nonrefundable deposit. I called two hours later to cancel, because the fence contractor agreed to fix the problem. This is a scam operation, no work has been done and they sent a bill for the rest of their money. Please watch out for these scam artists. read more

I had A1 come out to install a non-GFCI outlet in our garage for a treadmill we just purchased. The overall work and timeliness was good, but that's where the good service ended. Their invoices state there is a 3% card fee for paying with a credit/debit card so I asked the tech if they accepted cash. He said yes, so I paid the tech the full balance due in cash. He took a picture of the cash and had me sign that the job was completed in full and to my satisfaction. A few days later, I start getting emails from A1 telling me the full balance is due for the work done. I called them and told them I paid the service tech cash and they need to follow up with him as he even took a picture of the cash to prove I paid for the service (his words that it was company policy when accepting cash). They said they would note the system and would contact the tech. Over the next 24 hours I received 5 additional emails stating my balance was due, I received text messages telling me I needed to pay my balance, and I even received a voicemail from someone in accounts payable saying my balance was still owed and I needed to pay it right away. I called them back the next day and firmly said they need to check with the service tech that performed the work as I paid him in full and he has the cash. I told them if they keep contacting me saying I need to pay a balance I already paid, I will have to report them. They were then very apologetic and informed me they would note the system it has been paid and I would no longer receive any further communication regarding the invoice. I work from home and I was on the phone with my boss when they decided to call me back 4 times from 4 separate numbers (clearly I couldn't answer, nor did I want to speak with them anymore). They finally left a voice message after the 4th attempt stating they apologize and have received the cash from the tech and they have closed out my account. They will send me an invoice reflecting it was paid in full. Shortly after I got the PIF invoice. I will never hire this company for work again, and NEVER pay cash for service work again. After I handed him the cash, I mentioned I would have paid with a card had it not been for the 3% service fee. He told me they stopped charging that months ago. I then asked if I could get my cash back and I would just pay with a card. He said it was too late as he already marked that I paid the full balance in cash. Never again. read more

This place is awful. We were rescheduled twice, the first time bc the techs truck broke down. The second time they missed the confirmed eta window due to "confusion" on their end. The tech finally showed up and told us we needed a Meg test and that 50% was needed to keep the appointment the next day. Someone eventually showed up, but it wasn't the original tech (who took our check), it was some dude who didn't speak English, had no idea what he was doing here, and had his speaker phone on the entire time. I declined service and it took over a week to get my check back. The operators/dispatch dept lied repeatedly to us. Promised call backs, ensured our check was with the accounting department. Come to find out, the tech had our check the entire time. We used Right Touch Electric instead and it turns out a Meg test wasn't needed at all. If you like being lied to and overpaying, by all means this company is perfect for you. read more

We called A1 into our business to trouble shoot an exhaust fan. During the visit very professional, showed up on time, however once they left they never showed anyone what the problem was, showed us they got the system working. The repair person told us they would contact us back and did not. I called the office twice to ask for an explanation to see if our fan was working or not. The person in the office was asking me questions she should have known or at least call the technician to get the answer, it seemed like I was asking her to go out of her way to do her job, twice! Not the customer service I want to do business with. I even mentioned to her nicely, we would not ever use them again if they did not call back by the end of the day, I did not receive a call. read more

A1 Plus Electrical came out on a Sunday due to us losing power on a Saturday night. It was 100 degrees and we needed to get the power back on. They promised us to have back up and running by 6pm Sunday night. That did not happen. It was Monday afternoon before our power was ever restored. They also cut my internet cable so I was out of internet for another day. They charged us $9.5K. I called around with other companies after the fact and every one quoted a repair of less than $5K. They will not return calls and took complete advantage of us. Do not use this company unless you want to overpay. I guess this is a lesson about buyer beware. read more

Fraudulent billing, rude phone staff... If you receive a quote and then they come and tell you that the work needed is not able to be done how does that initial preliminary quote be used as payment for services, NO WHERE NEAR the cost. We were quoted $843 for stage lighting repair. The electrician comes by and tells us that the entire stage needs to be re-wired. That's not the problem. So, we have him look at 3 lights. NO REPLACEMENTS WERE DONE. He tightens wires and that's supposed to equal $843??? Alejandra (if that's her name but she's supposed to be the manager) is generally very good but unfortunately, she failed, and they have lost a reliable, frequent customer. She told me that the work he did was equal to the paid invoice. IMPOSSIBLE!!!! I'm beginning to think that the google reviews are all bogus. They must be. On a separate incident we had an appointment 7-11am and the tech literally arrived after 1pm! UNREAL... If you want to get ripped off by all means use A-1 Plus Electrical. read more

My underground cable to my house failed. I contacted A1 Plus and Matt arrived in a few hours. He assessed the problem and said they could start work next day. Crew showed up on time and completed the job in 2 days, made sure passed inspection and returned to cover open trench. Very satisfied with there professionalism and quality of work. Started out well enough but quickly went down hill. 1 day job turned into 4 days. Once job was completed I was left with a mess. They left the trash in neighbors yard and mine so neighbor tossed it back over my fence. Left water on in back yard as well as the from yard for what looked like days. Yard was a muddy mess. Had to bring other company in to bring dirt in to yard. Could not figure out why my internet was not working so called AT&T. They found that the company had cut the line buried in the yard. AT & T reconnected but did not bury the line. Spoke to the person in charge of the job for A-1 and he promised he would send over someone to make sure it got buried. That never happened. Someone did come over and leave the water on again in the yard. I was staying in a hotel during all this work that started as a two hotel stay and quickly turned into four days. NO I would not recommend them which is sad since I actually liked the company in the beginning. read more

What a waste of time! We were given A-1 Plus Electrical name by Home Depot. When my husband called them, they gave us a timeframe of 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. We confirmed the timeframe both by a call and an email. At 7:00 PM, we get a call saying they can't come because they're running behind. We were livid! We get that jobs can run over they allotted time but you can't make a call and let your next customer know that there's a problem? Very unprofessional!
